I just wish our business and tech leaders could generate enough revenue and deliver products that work for our clients so Fiserv wouldn’t have to layoff employees. When you’re not growing anything but expenses, people lose their jobs.

Laid off today
Part of nova. Laid off.
TU is a complete joke
And if you're not looking for a way out, the joke's on you.
What's going on today?
Any more cuts expected?
They can’t keep this up….
The way company is doing things unsustainable. OK, let’s use this SAP shut down as a reason to force more cr-p in so we will have so much product that we won’t be able to get through in September, and then it will be quarter close and it will start all over again last two weeks of September With the BS nos orders, that they will come up with some reason to justify sending in, just stop lying, and let’s stop playing this game, end dsd already. Its not working. Stop making up lies for sending in extra product, we’re all sick and tired of it…
even more layoffs
After an "emergency" required WebEx meeting. Surprise surprise even more IT employees being layed off and replaced by overseas workers.

Verizon is finding its way back while T-Mobile slips
https://www.phonearena.com/news/verizon-comeback-growth-schulman_id182998
Verizon has been plummeting for years, but the tables are turning. Nearly a year after bringing in CEO Dan Schulman, its shares are up 21%. Meanwhile, AT&T has managed just a 1% gain, and T-Mobile has dropped 19%.
The hard-charging turnaround is mostly built on cost-cutting. Verizon has been axing jobs and cutting operating expenses. Naturally, this is going to bolster profit. While Barden called this strategy unsustainable, he commended the company for pressing the brakes on enormous price increases. Ultimately, the company will need to find a balanced approach.
Schulman is delivering
Regardless of the route he has taken, Schulman has put an end to net customer losses. To reward a job well done, Verizon has extended his contract from December 31, 2027, to December 31, 2028. He could also receive at least $25 million in incentives in 2028.
The real test
Sweeping cost cuts were the easy part. As Schulman exhausts that leeway, he will have to devise real growth strategies. He is already on it with a host of recent announcements, including the new Simplicity Plan and loyalty programs. The company is also cooking up more ways to upend the industry.
Goodbye to non-relocators
A few of my friends/ coworkers are leaving the company instead of relocating. I’m sad to lose great people. We did big things together and am close friends with many. I respect their choices and wish them well.
Hard to expect people to uproot their families when more layoffs in Houston are expected.
How many did not relocate? Is there %? Seems like a majority but may be my team.
They will be missed. Good luck.
"doing your job well is no longer enough"
Overachieve every quarter, showcase excellent results, customer satisfaction, retention upsell.
All that doesn't matter anymore, you want more pay ? You want a promotion ? Bullsh-t stretch assignments is the only way.
It wasn't like this before, we can thank NetApp for hiring the laziest, cr-ppiest leadership teams straight out of the gutter of other hyperscalers, starting with a horrible HR policy.
Oh and that is based on the idea that NetApp actually pays commissions. We on month 4 and still not information on payments. Finance is stretched, so they say.
Begs the question, is NetApp led by incompetent fools, or malicious id--ts.
Layoffs incoming folks 3pm US EST 1:1
Layoffs will be 1:1 style around 3pm EST after. Look out for your manager to contact you randomly towards the end of the day.
The mere fact that this Target layoff page still has lots of traction almost daily, says a lot about the company.
Post-2025 layoffs, it seems like at least once a week there’s a new post from people concerned about the direction of the company or about their own future and well-being within the company. I’m glad that this safe space exists so that we can vent.
Even though I am no longer with the company, and I’ve since moved on, this has become one of my favorite past times over a cup of coffee in the morning to read through the threads. ☕️ If anything, reading through the comments confirms and continually reaffirms to me that though it wasn’t my decision to leave, they did me a favor.
UTA Cuts Staff Amid Financial Challenges
The University of Texas at Arlington has laid off 49 employees across 14 departments since early June. This action is a result of significant financial strain stemming from decreased international student enrollment, a statewide tuition freeze, and federal funding reductions. The university spokesperson stated these measures are part of long-term sustainability planning to align resources with strategic priorities. While the layoffs are a small percentage of the overall workforce, they reflect the institution's efforts to strengthen financial resilience. These decisions are intended to support teaching, research, and student success while adapting to current economic conditions.

Walmart layoffs winding down for 2026
Here’s the last 10 years of Walmart layoff history. You can see layoffs for this year are winding down:
[ ] January- 3 times
[ ] February- 2 times
[ ] March - 5 times
[ ] April - 7 times
[ ] May - 5 times
[ ] June - 6 times
[ ] July - 8 times
[ ] August - 5 times
[ ] September - 3 times
[ ] October - 2 times
[ ] November - 1 time
[ ] December - 6 times
Doesn’t mean they are completely done.
No Plan. No Direction. Just Goodbye.
This being our last week makes everything feel a little more real. What makes it even harder is that there really doesn’t seem to be a transition or exit plan. No one has spoken to me about who will be taking over the work I’ve been responsible for, and from what I can see, even the people who are staying haven’t been given much direction on what happens next or who will be responsible for what. After 15 years, I guess I just expected the ending to feel a little different.
To the OGs of Centene — thank you for the 15 years. This place was so much more than just a job to me. For so many years, it felt like family. I grew here, learned here, made memories here, and gave a huge part of my life to this company.
To those who are staying — please be careful and keep looking outside the company, too. From everything we’ve been seeing, more and more roles and responsibilities are being moved toward outsourcing, and I think it’s important to keep your options open. Maybe that’s also why we’ve seen so many leaders taking their PTO lately. Who knows.
I don’t know where my path will lead from here, and truthfully, that uncertainty is scary. But I’m grateful for everything this company taught me and for all the people who were part of the journey.
It’s genuinely sad to watch something that once felt so strong and meaningful slowly sink to the bottom of the ocean. I never imagined I’d be watching it happen from the inside.

California Mandates AI Disclosure in Layoffs
California is poised to enact a new law requiring businesses to disclose if artificial intelligence or automation is replacing workers during layoffs. This legislation, which has passed the state Senate, will expand existing layoff notification requirements. Employers will need to include information about AI or automation in their official layoff notices and reports to the state's labor agency. The bill aims to provide greater transparency for workers affected by technological displacement. Governor Gavin Newsom is expected to sign the measure into law.

A note to US folks who are impacted (or not)
I was hit back in March and among the first to confirm it was happening here. What’s followed has been the hardest job search I’ve had in my decades-long career. Some of this is sales specific, but I hope it’s useful to everyone.
- Back up everything: don’t wait until you get laid off. Back up all relevant work details like paystubs, promotions, attainment, praise, deal closures etc. Save anything relevant to RSUs or unpaid bonuses. Save EVERYTHING you’ve ever signed.
- Keep track of what Oracle actually owes you, because they will try to get away with paying less. If you closed a deal with a distant Sales Effective Date, save that. Save emails from management pressuring you to close it. Save any emails that even insinuate you’ll be compensated in the form of bonuses or other benefits for work that goes beyond your normal duties.
- Do not sign anything regarding your termination without talking to a lawyer. Remember that Oracle is not offering you severance out of kindness; they’re offering you the absolute minimum they believe they can get away with in exchange for liability protection.
- If you’re unhappy at Oracle, or you’re worried about layoffs, start looking now. The job market is tough but it’s tougher for those without a job.
- Tough doesn’t mean impossible, and there are signs of life. I’ve been interviewing all year, but activity right now is better than it’s been during that period. I see other people getting jobs, and I’m (knock on wood) close.
Above all, remember that this is just a job. You are not what you do for a living. Don’t let a layoff defeat you, and don’t treat it like a vacation. If you need to, take a short time to experience the loss, but then get back up and back into the fight. You’ve got this!
Why there are still Aria profiles of those people who where laid off 5 months back.
Just curious , some of the colleagues I know who got laid off months back are still in Aria under their managers. why is Aria not updated?
Back to $42 a share?
With the stock price plummeting back to all time lows, will there be additional layoffs to cut expenses?
Canceling Fios
im not paying these people anymore. cancelled. leaders are held accountable for results. they are getting fired.
How many are we expecting today?
Is it once again in thousands?
The Bolivar Revolution: The Org Chart May Be First Against the Wall
This is apparently my next “article,” because someone needs to do it. The starting point is Centene’s announcement of Bradley Bolivar as its new CIO.
For those who slept through history class, Simón Bolívar was “El Libertador,” the guy who helped lead multiple South American countries to independence from Spanish rule and had a habit of overthrowing the existing order. And now the new CIO is Bradley Bolivar, not Simón, and as far as I know they’re not related. But given what Bradley is walking into at Centene, the name is almost too good. So I’m calling my completely unlicensed prediction of what happens next The Bolivar Revolution.
I went digging because executive press releases tell you approximately nothing. Bolivar comes from Fannie Mae with a legitimately serious résumé in cloud, architecture, data, AI, automation, security, and enterprise transformation. And unlike some executive bios where “AI” magically appeared around November 2022, this guy appears to have actually done some of this sh-t.
The timing is also hilarious. Bolivar isn’t the only senior person leaving Fannie Mae. They’ve been going through major workforce and leadership upheaval, including roughly 1,200 departures in 2025 (8200 in 2024, 7000 now) and another recent purge of senior officials. Some of the latest eliminations were even attributed partly to increasing AI capabilities. So naturally Bradley likely looked around at that widespread organizational hellfire and apparently thought, ”You know where I’d like to go next? Centene.” 😉
Source: https://finance.yahoo.com/real-estate/articles/trump-administration-dismisses-dozen-officials-194058657.html
Here’s my prediction. There are four ways this could go:
A: Meet the new boss, same as the old boss. Bolivar inherits Brian LeClaire’s organization, Susan Moon and DXE keep rolling, Accenture keeps collecting checks, “AI” gets stapled onto a few more PowerPoints, somebody invents six new acronyms, and eventually we declare the transformation transformed. (least likely)
B: The new sheriff starts asking questions. Why does this organization exist? Who owns this capability? Why is this outsourced? What exactly does this SOW produce? Where’s the data? How are we measuring value? And my personal favorite: why can’t Centene do this ourselves? Accenture probably isn’t going anywhere, but having to prove your value to the new CIO is a little different from being embedded by the old one, given this is basically the playbook they’ve used a few times before.
C: Fannie Mae South. This is the one to watch. Fannie is shedding experienced senior people at exactly the moment Bolivar takes over Centene technology. If one or two trusted Bolivar lieutenants suddenly change their LinkedIn employer to Centene, grab popcorn. Architecture, data, AI, engineering, security, and digital could start getting redrawn around his operating model rather than the one he inherited. As previously discussed by many, Moon and several others came from Brian LeClaire’s previous orbit. That’s how executive networks work. The interesting question is what happens when the new CIO shows up with a network of his own.
D: The plot twist. Bolivar eventually discovers that eliminating internal expertise, institutional knowledge, measurement, governance, and the annoying people who knew how all the pieces actually worked together wasn’t quite the efficiency play somebody thought it was. Centene quietly rebuilds the same connective tissue under exciting new names, adds three layers of management to it, and probably pays somebody $8-20 million to explain why it’s necessary.
My completely unlicensed crystal ball says B + C eventually produces D. Bolivar didn’t build his reputation maintaining somebody else’s org chart, and Sarah London didn’t say data, technology, and AI will “shape how we operate” because she wanted a caretaker CIO. The first real signal won’t be whatever shiny AI announcement comes next. Watch who follows him from Fannie, which boxes start moving at Centene, and which consulting SOWs suddenly have to explain why they exist.
There is at least one qualification we can probably remove from Bradley’s onboarding checklist: “Ability to navigate highly matrixed organizations.” The guy is leaving Fannie Mae amid leadership turnover, workforce reductions, political intervention, AI-driven job elimination, and general organizational hellfire, and walking directly into Centene.
He doesn’t need matrix training. He needs a helmet and directions to the bathroom.
Welcome to ”OneCenteam,” Bradley. You’ll be fine. 😂🍿
New target in eu inflated 300%. Only have 30% pipe coverage.
We received new sales ISG targets. Country in eu. The increase is over 300% from last relevant H. Plus nobody has even close to 100% in the pipeline. Myself only had 20%. Which means the best I can hope for is only 20%.
Motivation has dropped to absolute 0. But I suspect this is planned. Make us leave so they won’t have to pay wfr. Dont even know what to, its fighting the big machine with no transparency, Dell is ruled by fear, nobody speaks up because of fear.
