I am already hearing leaders whisper about another WPE review being done and an update in the talks about more back in office days. Is this just gossip at my site or can anyone confirm they may be right??

Trying to read the tea leaves here. Does anyone have credible info or rumors on which specific departments or orgs are in scope for this round? Just trying to plan ahead and see if we need to start dusting off our resumes. Any insight is appreciated.need to get ready.

They wil cut people adn adjust their pay for others pay hike and RSUs.

i've read here claims that because vz's is self-insured for medical covrage employees with higher recent or ongoing medical costs could potentially be viewed differently during workforce reductions. people were talking about chronic conditions recent hospital stays or having a baby shortly before a layoff.

i've also heard anecdotal reports that in at least one group affected by the last layoffs several of the people let go had significant recent medical expenses or ongoing medical issues. age was also mentioned but supposedly salary level did not appear to explain the pattern.

i have no way to verify whether any of this is actually connected to layoff decisions and correlation obviously does not prove that medical information was used.

has anyone else heard anything similar or seen patterns in their own group? especially interested in firsthand observations rather than speculation.

Please only reply with factual information. Are we expecting any layoffs for this Thursday with expecting a big layoff in October? And do we have a date for October? Areas/teams to be hit? All grades? Optum/UHC/CHC employees? I know its the last quarter and it can be rumor mill on this site, so don't always like to get worked up over nothing, but also can't change what's going to happen.

Everytime ppl come w rumors from ppl inside, a good chunk of where those ppl get those rumors is this website, not actual inside knowledge. All those rumors spread inside the company and then ppl come and post back what they heard inside from a “director” “manager” “people in the know.”
