This top 5 goal is a major change, easily categorized as transformative if anything close to that is achieved. Has anyone seen any metrics / reporting of progress on this? I don't think achieving progress on this goal is realistic without senior leaders leading the way and taking work out (reporting overload being 1). Haven't been here long, this seems like a pipe dream...generally interested in your thoughts?

Joined as a contractor earlier this year and was just let go. Was told it’s a reduction in workforce. I joined because it was a one year contract and they sold me on being converted 6 months down the line. Devastating but life goes on. Just another day in corporate America
OneCM sounds like the program may result in a reduction in the number of case managers and support colleagues needed.
For everyone stressing about losing your job, stop worrying and start planning.
When the Marcus massacre hit in August of 2022, I knew we were entering a new era. Right then I made peace with the fact that none of us were safe. I went into uber saving mode, paid off as much debt as possible, didn’t make any large purchases like cars or houses. I just saved!
Fast forward almost 4 years, I survived countless “reorgs” , staff reductions, etc. watched lots of friends and coworkers leave for no good reason. My luck ran out and I was RIFd a couple months ago. I’ve taken the time off and relaxed, it took a couple weeks for it to really sink in. But once I had purged the toxicity of that place and could see it for what it really was, I was happy.
I drive my kids to school every morning, work out every morning, drink coffee and read or listen to music. I spend an hour or so looking at job opportunities. And also thinking about going back to school because why not.
Don’t stress, just make peace that you’re going to get hit eventually. Save, Save, & save and be prepared.
Have you heard about reducing team size to 10 or less across the board?
Only sales to get impacted and in very small numbers
Just curious if anyone knows how many people have already been let go this year, and what they're trying to reduce down to. If you take all hGP and hWP combined at the start it was around 27k people, right?
Close to 50% reduction coming to Ravinia. Some will be forced to move to Bellevue or Overland Park. H1B’s first to go. Only critical teams will remain at Ravinia. All others will be let go by end of Q2. Get ready.
A lot of what OI does is facilitate the functioning of other divisions. I'm not in OI, but OI's work and tech has enabled a lot of the 40-90% headcount cuts to other areas (not that those reductions were always well advised).
A lot of the applied process support/automation/optimization work over the last 5-10 years has come out what remains of teams currently structured under OI, with most of the work, knowledge base and continued maintenance being US based.
Almost zero effort has been made to prepare this to be handed off to either contractor or OGA teams, and the "cleanup" from the Change Health breach resulted in a TON of project source material and documentation for currently deployed work being wiped, and zero time/resources allocated to reconstruct/replace the lost bodies of work.
Tl;dr: The people currently supporting the existing processes that Optum (actually) runs on are probably the ones that are going to get cut this round. Things will be OK, until an existing process needs to be updated, changed or expanded, at which point things will start breaking.

I came across this post while reading through our board. Worth bumping it up.

No groups exempt
Just got off the phone with my AD and I was told April 23rd there will be a 10% RIF across all departments within Verizon. They are going after highest paid workers now NOT based on your PAD or time served in the company. My AD wanted me to help develop a plan to put into play with the reduced staff starting May 24th.
What you see in news is vastly exaggerated. Cost reduction target is 20% - achieved through head count reduction in high cost countries -us employees took the brunt.
Assuming a big piece of reduction in numbers will be associated with Anadarko sale, where else will get hit? What’s the final number?
What’s OVV going to look like
