Can we get back to the purpose of this site? When are the layoffs coming, who’s impacted? Somebody knows something!

Previous post saying September but September is over next week.

We’ve heard of massive Volvo layoffs coming, partly through attrition, but many more to be directly affected. Anyone heard anything more definitive?

Are there possible layoffs coming up soon? Are people still looking for a new job and trying to leave before the layoffs?

What will the layoffs look like in Nov? The recurring theme in Product seems to be on smaller teams.

Tomorrow 9/24 is another day for layoffs. What can we do?🥲

They are coming no doubt but I seriously doubt tomorrow. When previous RIFs have occurred the last decade SOMEONE leaks some credible information prior and all the people who chose to deny it’s coming down vote and call them a fear monger.

All that to say… all I’ve seen is people complaining about the company and throwing weak theories out.

I think we’ll all be safe… TOMORROW. Prob not by EOY.

Anyone have details about the planned layoffs in Q4? I’ve heard timing will be last half of October.

In speaking with an SLT member, it was dropped that more cuts are on the way for Canada. He was heavily involved in CEP last go round so was unclear whether this is Canada specific or just the previously announced additional cuts that were always in the pipeline.

Looks like a lot of senior/executive leaders are coming for visits and/or scheduling meetings with several teams next week. Would fit the pattern the last few years of delivering awful news shortly after the engagement survey is closed.

I have not heard of anyone yet. Hoping it was a rumor.

I've seen the police car each time I'm at the office in Cary. I've heard that it's there when there are layoffs. Is this true? How come it's always parked there?

We’re a bunch of developers working hard here, and today I found out that the upcoming related project was handed entirely over to the India team for development. Mind you, they already know that the India team uses a lot of AI, and we’ve had a bunch of bugs because of it. So now we’re basically left with nothing. Maybe we’re just waiting to get laid off?

Already stressing but need to know when I need to REALLY start stressing

So our stock is in a freefall and the only way to float the stock price is to cut expenses (overhead). We are spending money on fiber and need capital back. So 9/24 or whatever date in October is going to happen. We're bleeding money, and the iPhone isn't saving us. Most iPhone models are not in stock to ship till October. So Q3 is a dumpster fire at this point, hopefully Q4 is better. Either way I think we are all at risk, so bring on Dan the Hatchet Man.

i thought all staff where notified on aug 31st of layoffs so if thats correct then they will leave within 30 days right? so why am i hearing more layoffs from october 7th to oct 21st i dont undertand.

I’ve been hearing rumors that there may be layoffs happening sometime next month, possibly in October. Has anyone else heard anything about this or know if there’s any truth to it?

I'm hearing there'll be more cuts in October. I'm honestly not sure how many more people they can cut without the whole system crashing, but I guess they want to find that out. Anyhow, I was just wondering if somebody knows more about the next round. Please share if you do.
