Another false alarm?

All of us who're still here can't even relax knowing we're guaranteed to see more rounds most likely already later this year. We've entered the stage where layoffs are a part of the norm, unfortunately.

Unable to sleep knowing there'll most likely be more cuts. I wish they were able to wrap this up in a single day.

So when is the experiment going to be over? So much expected for every level of employee except the big wigs, when does it all end? It has to be close, if not months until the end of dsd. Don't let the company fool you, everyone knows the latest rtm experiment is intentional. All the intentional order padding.

I signed the general release on July 5 but up to this day no severance yet.

Employees throughout the company are protesting the insane requirements over opening belk cards

Most employees are no longer encouraging customers to open or use this high interest card

It’s especially concerning that senior citizens are coerced and sometimes tricked into opening such a card

Grassroots protest from store managers and associates!

It pains me to say this as I think AI is the eventual ruination of the western/global economy as we know it, and the replacement will be a cold and emotionless standard which will ki-l human innovation/motivation and cause prolonged malaise.

However, if you want to continue your employment with Cigna (at least in the near term), you need to be embracing the AI tools provided to you. Bonus points if your mgr can report that you have generated some breakthrough with the use of AI.

Usage is being tracked and scores tabulated.

AI adoption (or not) will drive the next couple rounds of layoffs.

Vehicle photos, billed work, ofs times not matching, ADP entries, acfs entries, it goes on and on. Time for me to move on.

It's gonna happen sooner or later. The closer to CH 11 they do it, the worse it looks.

Let's be realistic, despite what we've been told, once this goes through, we're sc--wed. There might not be layoffs immediately, but there will be major layoffs for sure, and I'm betting they'll take place within a year. I've been desperately looking for something else since this was announced, but the job market in our industry is atrocious right now.

Every new manager we get seems less qualified than the last. It's like they're hiring for incompetence.

Am I the only one who is worried about Q3 results and what that'll mean for us? We know this leadership will use all and any opportunity to justify even more layoffs, and this could be a prime one.

Just a warning to people who might think, like I did, that getting a raise means they're planning to keep you around. That's not true. Four months after I got a raise, I was gone. I think it hit me even harder because I was so convinced I was safe. I just wanted to share this so people know where they really stand.

I honestly wouldn't be surprised if they pulled the rug from under us once again when we least expect it, considering how badly this whole thing has been handled so far.

Had such a hard time working Friday thinking about what will happen. It's Saturday and the only thing I can think of is what's going to happen on Monday. Anyone else feeling anxious?

Just a thought… but Dan made a specific comment about 88% of the company is “using” AI, and we should encourage the other 12% blah blah…..

Anyone else thinking that metric will be used against us for the next round of layoffs? Checking to see how much we use AI?

I see that one of our key AI leaders/strategists Prag is jumping ship to another bank.
Several other key tech leaders have left this last year and usually aren't been replaced by external talent.

Is all this a bad sign?

ORCL investors can't unload this POS fast enough, it closed for the week - barely above the 52 week low!!

Klaxon sirons should be going off for all investors and employees at this point. One thing is certain, however. The August layoff will be a bl**dbath!

What happened at Polaris? Was it an employee attacking another employee or did some rando walk in off the street?

Anyone else psyched to be at the front lines of angry students and parents when rush hits? It’s so unbelievably stupid to allow orders for items we do not have and not tell the students we have to source these items somehow and it will take weeks. Oh and we can’t cancel items. And can’t cancel orders. But customer service is so so important!!!
