Does anyone knows why Morocco's offices had to shutdown for 4 days the week before the previous one? is it related to the upcoming layoff?

Also does anyone have rumors to when 14/15 layoff wave will affect Morocco O?

It's another head scratching exercise that only exacerbates employee angst. Forget layoffs for a few minutes, consolidating offices is an effective strategy to reduce staffing without filing. Uniondale NY was leased for 30 years, at its prime it held 5 floors and over 600 employees. When it was shuttered (8/30/26) there was one floor for approximately 100 people. That's a big reduction in itself. Now that it's shuttered approximately 50 people have 'retired' or found work close to home versus commuting into NYC. Another big staff reduction. In 6-12 months the models show another 20-50 of these people will tire of the commute and leave the firm. Several people who lived close to the Uniondale office chose to interview at competitors and accepted jobs in NYC with a 25% pay increase. BNY took zero action to retain them, zero action to offer compensation to those who stayed in order to bring salaries into the range of NYC pay versus LI, zero action to offer a small increase or bonus to help defray commuter costs. So the corporation is ice cold, as is the American trend. Before anyone attacks that understand that many of those people on LI felt like family to each other. There were weddings, births, funerals, celebrations, ad hoc picnics, golf, softball, bring your kids to work days...so many little things that bring people together and help forge bonds. Sure BNY will have "events" that state are to bring us together, but it's a cold environment in NYC, similar to a train where you sit next to someone who doesn't know what your job is, comes and goes the same way someone on a train sits next to you and leaves at their stop. Maybe pleasantries but no bonding. I can't tell you how many times I stop in for a cup of coffee as other people come and go but exchange nothing except hello. They're gone in a flash, just like a person on line at Starbucks. And house people keep? It's a ghost town after 4, too many people running for an early train in order to get home so they can actually enjoy a bit of life. So office closures do little to bring people closer, little for collaboration. Is it to save money? How much are the renovations in Greenwich going to cost? How much does it cost to sublease WTC during the renovation? Instead Uniondale could have had its lease extended so those jobs remained intact as well as offering Greenwich staff to work on LI during the renovation. How many of those people would have greatly enjoyed the opportunity to reverse commute to a suburban location - how many of the people already lived there? There's real world examples of this being a success during a period in mid 2000 teens. How do those of you in Pittsburgh feel to see that once proud Mellon name be essentially erased? How about Boston?? The corporate word is that we're cared for by the firm, that we have excellent facilities to work in, that we are one BNY, we're commercial, we're a leader in AI, we care about marginalized groups of people, we have book clubs, town halls (with canned softball questions). Every few days we get emails from new executives telling us how wonderful we are and how much better we will be after whatever the new project they were brought in for takes effect. It's tiring. As you can probably tell I'll be leaving in a few months as soon as something else is lined up. I don;t have all of the answers for what my gripes are but I do know current affairs don't have the answers either. May robin continue to smoke the wall street analysts and keep the stock price up. Oh yes, so he can continue to tout that we're all owners. Did (hose 5 shares make a big difference to anyone reading this? Check the annual reports to see the # of shares owned by the people telling you everything is going very well.

Let's also close all non-customer-facing office locations. Real estate will always be more expensive than a VPN. If we weren't spending hundreds of millions on vanity office spaces that need maintenance, infrastructure, furniture, lighting, security, etc.

If this company actually cared about efficiency it would go full virtual. Nobody cares about seeing "Wells Fargo" on a block of concrete when there's no ATM there.

I’m guessing 388 is the main option? but is 388 even big enough to absorb all LIC teams? Are there other low-key NYC/LI locations, or is NJ going to be the only other option? Or should we expect layoff in the upcoming round?

I heard from a colleague that the lease from our location is up at the end of the year (outside of Boston) and the assumption is that everyone will be moved to the Boston location. Any confirmation on that?

St. Louis employees are expected to start getting relocation notices next month. At this point, the direction is obvious. AT&T keeps pulling more jobs into the Dallas area, shrinking its footprint elsewhere, and building toward Plano in 2028.

This is not just another office consolidation. Dallas is clearly winning the location battle inside AT&T, and Plano looks like the final destination. Every round of relocations makes that more obvious. Other offices lose people, lose influence, and lose relevance while North Texas keeps gaining all three.

If you are in St. Louis and still hoping your office will somehow avoid this, that is becoming harder to justify. The company is steadily narrowing the map. More roles go to Dallas, more decisions get centered there, and more employees are being pushed toward the same choice: relocate to Texas or move on.

People can hate the strategy, defend it, or complain about how it is being handled. It does not change the result. St. Louis is losing. Dallas is winning. Plano is winning even more. The center of gravity keeps moving south, and by 2028 there may not be much left to debate about where AT&T wants its future to be.

All roads lead to Plano. The important decisions are made here.

Hearing its the end of the road for a number of staff in a number of locations, looks like hubs are the focus now.

I’ve heard chatter that the closing of the Delaware office is going to lead to a huge increase of layoffs. But get this upper management is already aware and the town hall meeting was damage control!! This place is absolutely horrid. I wonder how many teams of people have heard this same rumor? A lot of folks aren’t showing up in office anymore which is strange.

TikTok has closed its Nashville office after just over two years of operation. The company cited a need to streamline operations and better align teams for future growth. Layoffs and office closures are not the best signs for a “growth” company despite how CEO frames it.

The message should come from ELT/CEO …not head of facility/office manager.

Does anyone have legit intel on what locations will be included on the next round of office closures?

My office location is being shuttered and staff are being transitioned to a “nearby” city based office location. I am an associate type with an analytical desk job and now I’m being asked to move and fill dozens, upon dozens, upon dozens of boxes of paper documnts for long-term storage and/or transfer to new office location. I don’t think I could physically do it but I’m being pressured to fill these boxes along with my small team. I don’t think this was ever in job description. Comp. not hiring moving staff to do this work. what should I do?

Meeting were held with the general manager, members and union to discuss the closing of call centers in Tustin CA and Cerritos CA. Management said they will consolidate both offices into a new office space. They are pushing propellor out of the business. The union hasn’t sent out a single message to its dues payers. We really don’t know what the union does here except sit in meetings and say nothing.

Glendora HUB is closing. Its last day of operation will be July 17. People were assigned to a centralized group location rather than the one closest to them.
