Anyone feel like they are being investigated or looked into something "being wrong" for reasons to fire you so they dont have to lay you off and pay a severance?

Hi. I got below meet in mid term review and for no reason. Manager is having monthly one on one and bringing all kind of nonsense to show am not working enough even though it's otherwise. So i can see in year end he woll give below meets. What happens next...do they lay me off in January or February..no severance? No bonus? Or they can kick me out before jan too?

Normally, you do not see this in the Call center environment because of the natural turnover people eventually quit but this week they fired a bunch of people, including a supervisor. We were once great company when we were DST. It’s now a sh-t business that doesn’t care about it’s people

Q2 sales will lack both plan and the latest exec forecasts. Substantially. SVP of sales and several Director / Sr. Directors in sales will finally be fired in August. Not for missing the target, but for missing their own forecasts now several quarters in a row.

CEO still believes that "product is fine, everything else is the problem". He'll be fired, too. Timing just depends on interim and long-term succession plan. Nobody will miss him as he's been over-promising on outside investment / recapitalization / acquisition and under-delivering.

There is an engineer in my group who was less than a year away from reaching retiree status who was put on a PIP. She was put on a pip five years ago as well so is now fired. Fired months from being able to receive retiree benefits after more than 30 years at Exxon. Now she is fired and no longer eligible for the retiree benefits. Are others seeing this as well?

This place taught me that couldn't be further from the truth. I have been a high performer, always available, never complaining, and yet I got miserable raises and no promotion. Elevance is the one that did everything wrong and accepting that has been so liberating. That was confirmed to me when my manager panicked when I told him I was leaving. They even wanted to counter the offer I got. Too little too late.

I was fired last Friday.

I was on a PIP and they fired me on Friday... I am going to sue IBM.

Make it make sense. You fire the employee who created the only system we use to track out daily work is out...but other employees were chosen to stay to now run said system....If they're reading this, you have the opportunity to claim your work bad.

The SVP in charge of BH, Product and Dental was just let go. This follows multiple senior leaders in Product and Dental being pushed out earlier this year. Is E.B.’s departure a sign of the next big wave of bloodshed? (Not that I think she was a big loss.)

Wonderful news about RD being fired in Haynesville area. Such a cocky little guy. Was disliked by many but was the Ops Manager best buddy. So..., no one would cross him. Everything eventually comes out in the wash though. (Karma)
