I was reading the severance agreement. There is a lot of verbiage around not being able to sue Oracle for age discrimination. Does anyone know if there are any class action lawsuits regarding this ? I don’t see any but was curious since yin give up your rights down the road.

Curious, if anyone else thinks there's a case here. It would seem that Oracle, grants certain employees RSUs. The intent is to get those employees to stay and remain engaged over the vesting cycle. RSUs are valuable, no matter what the stock price is.

However, part of the RIF process is to cut individuals that have large amounts prior to vesting. It's not by accident, it is a standard practice. Seems to be deceptive. I'm curious on thoughts from this community.

This is pretty serious. When a law firm is already investigating PayPal over potential WARN Act violations, it tells you the layoffs are getting real and messy. Definitely worth paying attention to.

Does anyone have contact info for the BYOD termination lawsuit? Apparently a few people gathered some solid evidence that they were singled out and targeted. I left the company back in January and would love to provide witness testimony in the lawsuit. I can prove that most store employees and managers participated in the same very thing that a few select were terminated for.

I am looking for a good law firm that is interested in pursuing a case against Oracle for how are evaluating people's year ends reviews and how they are calculating ATV/bonuses. If your manager asks you to take on extra work because of laid-off colleagues, but then gives you a poor performance rating for not doing "enough" and lays you off anyway, sue.

They have revamped the form specifically for BNY. This is going to lead to more lawsuits. The form basically implies they will not allow any remote accommodation.

We all know an impending rebadge is coming. Chances are VZ will consider those that refuse it as effectively resigning, which means no severance and no unemployment.

I'm not a lawyer, but a rebadge could also be interpreted as "your job is now at Deloitte/Infosys/HLC". That means the VZ job no longer exists. If the rebadge is declined, it could be an involuntary separation with severance and unemployment.

I'm guessing VZ would think twice should there be a lawsuit threat.

During the 2008 VSP / Infosys rebadge, VZ wasn't offering the extended severance to those eligible for retirement but relented when enough people complained. It's not the same thing and times have changed, but nothing will happen if the affected people don't push back.
