I wish it was me. I really do. There's no way in he-l we'll be able to do all of our work without them unless we completely give up our personal lives. They think we're automatons who can keep doing more and more all the time. We're not. We're human and this will break so many of us.

Layoffs started across the pond is my guess. Was 150,596 and now down to 150,414…

It’s September 1 at 6 AM IST. Have any IDC folks received layoff emails yet?

Was shocked to learn in some areas, the person running the layoff call was not from hr, but a Director forced to hold the call. Didn't even know who or how many laid off.

H1b's need to be slashed first, than contractors, than if still left over citizens.

At least in my area, it seems like pretty much everyone who was offered the buyout is turning it down. Meanwhile, a lot of the people who actually want the buyout weren't offered one.

So what happens if the company is claiming a surplus but not enough people take the offer? Could they eventually move to layoffs? And if they do, would the people who were offered the buyout and chose not to take it be the first ones affected, or would layoffs go strictly by seniority? Also, the local is hush hush about this in my area.

Comment if you know coworkers who have done incredible work and have been shown the door. Toast to those fallen but definitely not forgotten!

Care1st was bought out by Wellcare & then Centene. This layoff was by far the worst & they allowed departments to pick who stays & goes based off personal gain & who would fall in line for AI. People have been let go for automation that has not even been made. Mission simplify infiltrated provider management in AZ. Before that, the entire provider enrollment and representative to group content was done in house. Centene has been outsourcing as much as they could prior to. Our enrollment departments are working against each other. We do our part & their third party vendor says f you were gonna follow own made up rules and things don't get in from the jump!

Just wanted to check on the timing. If the system sends the email out at 6:00 AM local time in North America, does that mean the team in India will get their termination emails about 2 hours and 30 minutes later, around 8:30 PM EST tonight?

You’ve heard it right. NCR is now laying off their staff from 3rd world countries. All L1 agents will be laid off by the end of the month. ELT will gather all agents tomorrow to share these news with them in person. Company is now focusing on building up their Cebu operations.

Why do they act like layoffs are a random process? Do you genuinely believe it's random, or is there a systematic assessment of cost vs. benefits?

Just remember that there is more accountability for a mid-level IC than there is for Enrique. He’ll fail and get a golden handshake deal while our colleagues are laid off and job hunting in the worst job market in our lifetime.

F PayPal “leadership”, F the board. They have ki-led what was once upon a time a fintech leader and they have ZERO vision to bring it back from the dead. I would have welcomed a Stripe acquisition even at that number. At least they have some kind of trajectory.

Sorry I'm late to posting. I'm the same person who shared OIM database activity from the last RIF. Just seeing the anxiety here is making me sick and sorry for everyone affected. The last detail I can add is that additions to the enqueue table have seemed to stop. Not saying there won't be any more additions, but the activity in that enqueue table which is triggered during these RIFs has stopped. I hope those affected will be alright. Please rest and take care of yourself.

They are made aware there is going to be impact

After "successful" rollout of ODW and "well tested" SDD framework making Dell engineers redundant, a big WFR coming up under Rob Mason's org starting from Sept and will go on till Jan end. Though what I heard is for Rob Mason, the whole of Dell IT will be affected as they are planning to cut 40% of jobs over 3 major waves: Sept->Nov->Jan. Sept and Nov cuts might be light and planned by senior leaders and managers, the Jan will be a "bloodbath" according to the words of some senior leaders and even they don't know who would be let go in Jan. Contractors will be heavily affected but permanent employees won't be spared as well.
Well some "GOOD" news for those who survive: You might get a big hike in Feb after the job cuts are complete

Reddit thread has me anxious. Poster stating that PBM layoffs will include up to 700 Customer Care either starting on or by 1/1/27. Poster correctly stated that Care is being outsourced to vendors.

Can anyone confirm the legitimacy of this claim? I have two small children and extremely anxious. I have to make sure they’re taken care of. Care is being outsourced to other vendors but seems strange to lay off 700 people right in advance of Welcome Season (our busiest time of year).

Anything anyone can offer is appreciated.

My manager got cut. My colleagues got cut. I feel extremely nervous every minute, just waiting for my turn. I’ve been trying to find another position, but it hasn’t been going well.

Does anyone know if CGHB is doing layoffs? They’ve hired so many offshore employees lately, and now it kind of looks like the U.S. employees might be the ones getting let go. Has anyone heard anything?

If you think they would make a mistake like that and that you’d somehow know upfront that you were going to be terminated ,you’re crazy. Do you really think they would make an error like this ? they've been doing it for years

having the OIM account added DOES NOT mean you’re on a list. You may still end up being laid off, but it’s not because of the OIM account.

Consider yourself cooked if you're paid higher than your peers.

Even if they layoff 15% of the company 85% will still have jobs. The big problem is that they keep doing it. If the end state is to be under 90K as someone posted earlier than this will happen 3-4 more times by 2028.

That would be a small mercy in this whole mess.

Lemme get this right… Centene just hired the former Fannie Mae CIO to lead technology, data, and AI.

Meanwhile they’ve been cutting internal technology capabilities, pushing a ton of work to Accenture and Cognizant, reorganizing everything that isn’t nailed down, and shedding institutional knowledge along the way.

And the new CIO says: “I look forward to building on the strong foundation already in place…”

So… cut, outsource, reorganize, shed institutional knowledge, then announce that technology, data, and AI are strategic capabilities and hire someone to “build on the strong foundation.”
