The Writing is On the Wall
Whatever you just saw was 7%. No where is that anywhere near enough for whatever Visa is trying to achieve as part of the 2030 strategy that is constantly being touted.
Layoffs will be an annual strategy moving forward. More offshoring to lower cost regions like Poland. For those teams with sister teams in lower cost regions, you're merely training your future replacements.
By the time Ryan and Rajat leave the company, Visa will be a shell of its former self, and they'll just point to CBDCs as the cause instead of take accountability for their actions.

VSP separation date
So i just called the VSP line and inquired about my designated separation date of March 19,2027, whether that’s going to change. The lady I spoke to says that’s unlikely to change.
Thoughts?
there will be no sunshine for NIKE at least until the end of March 2027
I just saw, Nike 1st quarter 2027 and I will declare that it was extremely underwhelming to say the least. There was some sign of life in running but everywhere else, it was just not easy to be enthused.
So anyone hoping to Nike turnaround, I am afraid that for at least for more than 6 months, they will not show up.
And if things will continue as is then I am afraid that some point they will be LAYOFFS.
With our leader EH proving that he is not adept for the job of turnaround, I am pretty pessimistic.
I am 47 year Nike independent dealer and I have seen all. Great time and bad times (like when Reebok came and kicked Nike's a-s) but this time, I have a distinct feeling that Nike is sinking and going to dark end.
And be a RAT!!! Jump the ship before it start sinking LOL

Salesforce Cuts 1,000 Jobs Amid AI Focus
Salesforce has recently eliminated approximately 1,000 positions across various departments. This significant workforce reduction is reportedly driven by the company's strategic pivot towards artificial intelligence. The affected roles span marketing, product management, and communication units. This move aligns with Salesforce's increasing reliance on AI tools to enhance operational efficiency. The company has not officially detailed the specific breakdown of these job cuts.

August layoffs
Has there been more info on this?
How are things?
Almost a year since I got cut and my life is better now. Is anyone actually enjoying it there still?
They don't even need to lay people off anymore
Every week another solid performer walks out due to the uncertainty and constant cuts. Anybody who has options is heading for the door. The brain drain is real, and I don't think leadership even sees it. Or they see it and don't care, instead they're celebrating the attrition without severance.
And it's happening again
Losing experienced employees on account of outsourcing and bringing on cheaper recent grads who have no idea what they're doing. All the experience is getting kicked out and somehow they think this place will continue functioning in the same way. Spoiler alert, it will not and I'm almost glad I won't be here to see the consequences.
Ready for the next round?
Looks like it’s open season again.

Fiserv Stock Back Above the Lyons Departure Price
Let me tell you a couple of three things: forget the excuses, forget the value Lyons managed to erase, and forget the corporate incompetence that put Fiserv in this position.
Takis took that stock—weak, embarrassed, wandering around like it had no leadership—and brought it all the way back to where it was before Lyons left. Frankly, it’s an honor to be surrounded by shareholders who still believe in execution, discipline, and making money—and not incompetent executives like Lyons, who should’ve stayed in whatever management-development program he crawled out of.
The future? I’m optimistic. Takis has restored respect, restored confidence, and most importantly, restored the stock price.
As far as Lyons is concerned, my estimation of him as an executive just plummeted.
