I just paid $4.29 for gas and dreading returning to office full time. Why isn’t Fidelity addressing this giant elephant in the room? This combined with everyday living expenses, how are people making it work?
If they want us back in full time, fine. But is now really the best time? They could let the dust settle, let prices come down, and then require full time back in office; we could continue our schedule we’ve been following for years now until then. It just seems completely tone deaf and I am sick of pretending this is fine and the new normal.

I was curious if anyone knew should I put in a 2 week notice with everything going on? I need the work. But I hate to not put a notice in but I fear they will let me go that day. Was curious if there was a fine line with this and the layoffs and what’s being told to management.

Folks between stock price falling, security officers being hired on, still lack of investment into our people and buildings. It's only matter of time. AI is around the corner, the clock is ticking. Every department is leveraging Copilot more and more, external contractors are hired to leverage AI. It was fun while it lasted.

What do these people do all day? Honestly they never get back to tickets. It’s like pulling teeth for simple requests. Why are they outsourced to “Beacon Hills Staffing”? This company wastes so much money. Go back to the 90s when we had actual employees in the building handling requests in a timely fashion.

Meaning, we're so sc--wed. It's not even about being laid off, but if everybody is doing, where the he-l are we supposed to find new jobs?

Apparently everything is going great blah blah blah. Not one mention of the stock imploding in July and $70B of IBM market value evaporating. My take away is that these "leaders" are professional liars and con-men/women.

I feel like this is something bigger than just RTO FT.
There are no jobs listed and I’m still waiting on hearing on an internal job I interviewed for weeks ago.

This is really weird it’s like something has happened behind the scenes or they know something cataclysmic is about to drop.

We’re being told five-day RTO is important enough to monitor and enforce, while the system they’re using to monitor it can’t even produce an accurate report.

What entire teams have been laid off etc? I’m hearing entire teams were laid off :( this is awful… I’m in the MO area . I wish they’d send some sort of update on all of this already instead of keeping everyone in the dark ab stuff…

It's losing its reason. It used to be a way of life, then a career, then a job. Now it's just an insecure paycheck. The current management seems focused on running it into the ground, and nobody's fighting to save it. Watching a once-great company circle the drain is brutal.

My manager is MIA, so we never got an all-clear from him.

I got the emails yesterday to confirm all of my personal information, emergency contacts and mailing address. I know they do this here and there, but it also seems like they have done this right before a big cut.

I have no basis for this - just my gut. I guess we'll see what happens. Either way, at least it'll be done and I can stop worrying - 15 years of this garbage and I've had enough.

So what are we expecting? Delaying a week for an all hands, maybe layoffs on the 14th

You can assume that whatever they are telling you now will be used against you in three months.

After some reorg and layoff rounds, we have changed many managers into technical lead role at DPD even though they know nothing on technical. Is that why VSO/Optimus/X400/Santorini/Hydra fail? Are we having layoff again in September or October?

My understanding is that today is the second of three days of layoffs. Did you get an ominous meeting today? What department was affected?

Sine the move is to pooled resources, the total number can be reduced, and AEs doing initial discovery and getting trained up.

Well looks like this is being expanded to personal lending. The email assured us this will not be used to evaluate individual performance. Sounds like complete BS to me. I’m in position where work isn’t always steady, comes in waves, one week slow, next one busy. I don’t think I like what this means for people like me.

Any experiences with this anyone would like to share?

Just wondering if they’ve all been let go yet. There was one group (investment services) that was still hanging in there as work from home but I was wondering if they still are or if they got let go?

I work for a team that manages OIM data. I reported seeing account deactivations being enqueued before the last round of layoffs and got some denial pushback from people here. Well I just wanted to say, again, I’m seeing account deactivations being enqueued in our system. I can’t share who since I’m not going to make that query in my name (I just maintain the health of the databases). But the tables are populating.

Hope everyone will be ok. I lost some friends in the last big round.

Will there be more layoffs if revenues continue declining? I worry EBIDTA will decline too since current EBIDTA gains were a result of all the layoffs last year. There aren’t any leaders left to layoff with all the businesses in one.
