There was a time when Harris (Palm Bay) had a fantastic program for the end of year holidays. They did decorations, and handed out toys to every child.
Well, those days are long over, and L3Harris will now be handing out pink slips and coal for the end of year holidays.

@fd They only layoff during the first 12 months of the year.
@eg - In the past years, normally it’s just before the 2 week holiday break starts. That way they don’t have to pay you for the time off.

@OP - Why is it a company is so bad that they would lay people off during the holidays, I’m sure it has to do with saving money. What a horrible, horrible company people should reconsider working there.
Decidedly not gemmy
There was a time, before the Harris takeover, when we would receive a Christmas bonus. My family would benefit alot more from that rather than a party. It might actually improve morale, who knows?
Ya I heard there was even a Santa Clause for the kids, big Christmas event for the whole family.
