Realignment & Cost of Living Raise

The last Cost of Living Raise in stores happened in 2021 (part 1) and in 2022 (part 2).

The last Realignment happened in mid-2024.

The company seems to realign and give cost of living raises every few years since 2015.

Any chatter about the next ones?

July Layoffs (July 8 or July 15)

Based on prior layoff rounds, it seems it often occurs on Wednesdays.

With Citi scheduled to report Q2 earnings on July 14, my assumption is that any July layoffs would likely take place on July 15 (or July 8).

Similar to how the June 10 layoffs were being discussed here roughly a month before they happened, has anyone heard any rumors regarding potential July dates?

Chances for internal mobility after 6/10 layoff?

I was hit with my 2nd layoff in two years today. I finally thought I had a foundation for recovery and it was an illusion. I’ve applied to hundreds of jobs before this one. I’m still exhausted from the previous job search. I’m desperately looking for a role, any role at this point inside the organization to stay employed. I’m applying internally and externally. Any advice? To make matters worse, I was served with an eviction summons trying to catch up from the last layoff today. Just my luck.

Why are you here?

Cisco was a great company but that changed many years ago (some say 2010 - the precise year does not matter).

  • Those who joined before 2010 had at least 16 years to look for something better. Why not? Why complain for more than 16 years?

  • Those who joined after 2010 should have known that Cisco is not a good company to work for (I give the benefit of doubt to those who joined right after 2010). Why did you join and complain?

If you were Sassine, what would you do?

Productivity is several times lower than competitors, employee morale has hit an all‑time low, revenue growth is far behind the rest of the industry, and customers are developing AI tools better than us.

If I were in his position, I would initiate a targeted layoff focused on non‑essential roles immediately, followed by a clear public commitment that no major workforce reductions will occur for the next one to two years. This would stabilize the organization, reduce uncertainty, and allow remaining employees to focus on execution rather than worrying about job security.

What is your thought?

Obtain Wells Fargo W2 as ex-employee?

Do you maybe know what's the best way to do this for us that were let go this year?

I know I'll have to get it next year but since logins do not work not sure what other options I may have.

I know I can reach to HR and find out but I hate doing this as they tend to be terse and are slow to respond.

Retirement postings - much more than usual

This past weekend, I noticed more-than-usual number of retirements posted on LinkedIn and FB. I am aware of a Canadian program driving a June decision for some employees, but that does not explain all of the postings in Houston. Are there other programs in North America with a June 1st trigger?
