Has anyone heard of lists being made or anything in the US? When should we expect the layoffs in the US to come? Please be open and honest?!!

Wouldn't shock me if it bleeds into next week.

Anyone else hearing of a layoff tomorrow

Yep, couldn't sleep all evening with this in the forefront of my mind. Assume this to be a similar state for many of you... Wishing us all the best, yet not sure a decision can be adjusted at this point...

Is there any truth to them?

Should I take this as a good sigh? Or is it just the usual calm before the storm?

A coworker mentioned he talked to his manager who told him to relax, no cuts planned for a while. I think this sounds too good to be true but one can hope. Has anybody else heard something like this?

Is there a possibility for layoffs on Wednesdays? My manager changed our monthly 1:1 from Friday evening to tomorrow morning and is OOO today, can't even ask him. He's a new manager and I don't know him that well due to a reorg.

This isn’t speculation anymore — layoffs are happening, and India seems to be in the middle of it right now (likely continuing through the week). From what I’m hearing, this is part of a broader org restructuring with global impact. The numbers being discussed are all over the place — anywhere between ~4% to 10% workforce reduction. Some estimates suggest ~1,000 roles, while others go as high as 4,000.

What’s less clear — and more concerning:

Are there additional waves planned in the coming months?

Is this happening ahead of a new CEO transition ?

There are also whispers about another significant round around June — any truth to that?
Would be really helpful to hear from folks across orgs/locations:
What’s the ground reality right now?
Are teams being given any forward visibility?
Is this a one-time correction or a longer restructuring cycle?
Feels like there’s more beneath the surface here — trying to piece together what’s actually coming next.

I just want to move on.

Is it possible to just ask to be laid off? We all know it's coming, is there a way we can just be added to the top of the list? My manager says there isn't a list, I dont believe him
I'd rather enjoy my summer than worry about if I'm next every other week.

Economy is getting worst. Most companies are announcing cuts, Cisco is no different. Major LR announcements in work for next Cisco Q3 earnings on May 13. This would be drastic shift caused by AI disruptions. 15-20 percent across the company. Many Delivery centers to shut.

What's the latest on potential April cuts? Is it coming or not?

Big layoffs planned for end of March. Happening before pay increases take effect.

  As you can see, the six months from March to August seem to be the most prominent layoff dates
