I think Milpitas but not sure. Anyone heard anything? Some consultants on site here for the past few weeks. People seem nervous. Other departments nervous too, not just software.

I heard that there is a list. What does it mean if an employee is ON the list but not selected?

Based on what i know, a senior director of NAND systems was suddenly out of the company. Not sure if it was a layoff.. are there any layoff rumors around san jose office?

Org has maybe 1 all-hands per year... only other times have been post RIF. Seems suspicious with the 7/16 rumor floating.

He expects a cut, notes that it will be sizable but 'reasonable' (whatever that means). When I pressed with numbers did not want to share anything. I said 20K, he said unlikely, I said 10K he said maybe. Take it for what it's worth. I typically trust him as he's a good person and we have a close relationship (long story) but wanted to share that.

I wish Verizon would be more transparent regarding our jobs. I’m working doing what I’m supposed to do but it’s an elephant in the room. In VCG a lot of upper management meetings but nothing definitive about layoffs are being shared or hinted. We’re all trying to read between the lines and it’s stressful.

Did anybody else watch AP's President, Erik Lindhjem's message? It sounded like layoffs are coming from the way he delivered his news. It sounded like AP business isn't doing so well.

I've read that emails are supposed to start going out this morning, and I'd like to know is the email an invite for a meeting with your boss or is the email itself a notification that you're being laid off with no meeting?

I've been here long enough to have noticed a pattern. Each year, around this time, there are cuts. It's not a massive round, but it's always something. A few people here, a few there, but it always happens like clockwork. If you've been here a while, you know what I'm talking about.

Anyone here if Regional Construction are going to be laying off specialists? Just heard today that starting in September, CMO will be doing all Admin tasks (Construction Activation, As-Built, FIR, Etc.) on all Residential jobs (SDU/MDU) and Specialist will be doing all admin tasks for Commercial jobs. Concerning as we have many people that are 100% Resi and now if they do 0 admin work what are they going to be doing or needed for?

Biggest impact will be in the Northeast by my understanding.

LPL's recruiter told me in March that there was a hold on hiring till end of May. This is now June. All of my applications are getting rejected without a phone call.
