Several engineering departments, including mine (Phoenix area) are being asked (told) to put in minimum 6 hours a week (unpaid of course) from now through years end to make up for revenue gaps. No incentives offered except for a not so subtle hint that an elbow ranking would be applied if we didn't do it.
It seems like the precursor to layoffs, but I could be completely wrong on that.
The risk of layoffs increases exponentially as the stock price goes down. There is a 4 to 1 chance that 20% company wide will be made redundant by Xmas. I calculated this using a time honored Honeywell method called PIDOOMA... Pulled it directly out of My A$$
