It’s the same thing every call. Don’t we have other things to talk about that are more important?

How many leadership face to face sessions are taking place this/next week? Any bets that “cost savings” is a big topic?

Have a meeting scheduled for “candid convos with Nisha” anyone knows what’s that about? Also hearing layoffs in PDO coming?

Five meetings in one day and I still have actual work that needs to get done. And once they start, everyone looks bored, including the people who scheduled them. We've lost the plot, folks.

All required in person on Thursday and other departments will be forced to work from home.

For those who applied, has anyone heard of someone getting a meeting invite on Monday for a follow up? Trying to understand if all applicants got meeting invites for Monday.

What, precisely, is their function? They seems to have ample time to dissect the most trivial of PowerPoints and visitor agendas. Beyond convening superfluous meetings and squandering the time of others, do they contribute anything of genuine value? Do they even know what real work means.

Anyone know anything about 2:00 meeting for some teams in IT?

Why? When's the last time you can truly say we got something useful from a town hall? I can't even remember.

I’ve heard some rumours that there might be another Resource Action (RA) in 2026, so I was wondering if anyone could share some insight into how the process usually worked in the past — either from personal experience or based on what you’ve seen happen to colleagues.

In particular, I’m curious about the timing and communication:

Is it usually brought up during a regular 1:1, or is there a separate meeting specifically for this?
Around what time of the month did this typically happen?
How much advance notice was usually given between the initial communication and the actual end date?

I understand that the process may vary depending on the country, organization, or specific RA, so I’d be interested in hearing any experiences you’ve had personally or observed with colleagues.

I left yesterday's town hall feeling hopeful, but that faded when Mike Lyons—confirmed to visit the Winston-Salem Parks Building for meetings and planned floor walks to greet teammates—never made it to my floor, even for the brief interaction we were told to expect.

Anyone else wondering about the big Town Hall meeting next week. It seemed very sudden and when I looked back at the old announcements they always have announced the meetings a month in advance. Also seems like a lot of people leaders will be on site for the meeting. Definitely seems like more bad news on the horizon...

I'm curious how the Broadcom meeting invite for a lay off is setup. Who’s invited, who can you see in the invite.

Did anyone get a meeting invite in US regarding team update coming from business update? For the places where layoffs happened is this how they send the information? Also what roles are most impacted, senior or junior? Are there any specific job profiles they are targetting?

I’m in the US and new at PayPal. What is the process followed by HR? Does the person affected being laid off get the meeting invite? How does the rest of the team or manager find out who has been let go from their team?

Anyone who got impacted can you please share what are they saying in the meetings. On what basis this is being done or how long it will continue? Also which levels and orgs are impacts?

Wf is in the rear view mirror for me now. I do recall a particularly odd event that happened to me and a few select others in my dept. Some received this random email along with a ton of others thru out the building. Wanting to know our opinions on things on stance about location strategy. Didn't really go over anything specific though it was vague but to be at certain room at a certain time.

I even asked my manager and she said she had absolutely no clue why, but go anyway. She had nothing to with it and she wasn't even on the list.
I was already incredibly nervous anyway because a month prior half the team was laid off out of the blue.

3hr end-of-day call for his entire org plus the legal AVP and HR Principal that are usually "optional" invitees. There's already a 1hr Town Hall on 26-Aug, and three weeks notice for the invitation seems like an awfully long warning for a "you're all fired" meeting. Anybody have any real information?

Before we proceed with anything, I’d like to inform you that managers will receive an invitation from HR to attend a training session. This session will provide information on when employees will be notified and what managers need to do next.

Today’s finance town hall introduced me to the phrase “trend warrior.”

Trend. Warrior. 🙄

Umm, this is an insurance company. Nobody is storming the beaches of Q3 armed with an Excel pivot table.

But sure. I’ll circle back, leverage some synergies, identify actionable insights, move the needle, and then mount my noble steed and ride forth into battle against unfavorable financial trends.

Or—and hear me out—we could just do our jobs and stop naming everything.

I highly recommend to fill out the CES that was sent out and make sure to put in comments. I am not sure how much ELT will care about these, but they at least get shared out in meetings with results and that has some importance.

Anyone else have recurring Monday meetings canceled with no reason given? Probably coincidence, maybe not coincidence. US-NYC
