The Dumpster Fire
An empire built on iron frames and glass,
Where Big Blue giants dictated the age,
The punch-card masters of the working class,
Whose mainframe shadows covered every page.
They drew the blueprints for the modern mind,
With thinking machines that led the global race,
Left rivals trailing far and deep behind,
And stamped their seal on business, time, and space.
But ivory towers crumble from within,
When ledger books replace the dreamer’s fire,
And stock buybacks become the only win,
While innovators drown in corporate mire.
The cloud arrived to find a sleeping king,
Entangled in a web of slow decay,
Where consultants and middle managers sing,
As market share silently slips away.
The Watson promise withered on the vine,
A marketing mirage of what could be,
While fresher rivals redrew every line,
And left the giant sinking in the sea.
The standard-bearer of a golden past
Now watches as its old foundations burn,
A dumpster fire where the shadows cast
Are lessons that the stubborn refuse to learn.
