And it’s freaking me out. Maybe most folks just live under a rock or are so numb / broken from being bossed around from the overlords up the chain that this just seems normal!! Either way it’s freaking me out. I feel like I am in some weird dystopian universe…

For the past year I was cruising. Top ratings, visible work, direct revenue impact. I thought I was as safe as anyone could be. Then a scheduled call a couple of weeks ago happened and just like that, I was gone. So for anyone at PayPal who thinks their performance or relationships will protect them, think again. We're all just numbers. When someone up high decides your time is up, that's it.

Seeing article after article about how the latest layoffs will hurt morale at Meta is almost comical at this point. Morale hit rock bottom a long time ago, this just keeps digging.

40 let go last week. A couple were people that were the only person that worked on their particular project in their capacity. I wish them well. It's basically monthly now.

Did you anyone receive them email that was sent out this morning about Cigna getting rid of IFP plans starting in 2027? What does this mean for our jobs? If Cigna is no longer offering IFP PLANS starting 2027, does this mean employees in that department will also be fired? I’m just trying to understand all of this.

Anyone have any info on what KSC clinics are closing for good? I know our path of growth was too aggressive, but didn’t think closing clinics was the solution. I always assumed they would just do a hiring freeze instead of laying off WellMed employees they just onboarded within the last 6 months….Good luck to anyone who gets cut today. I'm not a complainer, I'm really not. But look around. Deadlines get missed constantly and nobody says anything. People used to help each other, now they hide from each other. And I've watched two different managers bend rules that I know are there for a reason. CDW isn't just struggling. It's losing what made it functional.

I looked up my role's pay band last week. I'm five thousand below the bottom number. What do I even do with that information?

It’s quite unfortunate that there is no transparency in this organization. The Uniondale office has had rumors of its imminent closure for more than a year, yet no clear discussion. It’s the worst kept secret in the company. Hard working long term employees are waiting in angst to see where they will eventually end up-if at all-200 Park?? 240 G?? And when will the higher up’s finally give the little people the answer? There are many considerations for the mostly LI RESIDENTS- the cost of the LIRR, the extra time added to an already long day, child care, elder care, even pet care, but it seems like the “decision makers” don’t care. It used to be a terrific place to work, with talented and dedicated employees, yet some how these wonderful employees are falling by the wayside. I hope they Uniondale office gets some clarity soon, secrecy is certainly not a great way to conduct business.

Are the RIFs really expected to be worse than usual? There’s always some level of reduction in force, but a lot of what’s being said doesn’t seem grounded in anything concrete. It’s hard to imagine them cutting a third of OI or Health with so many active projects underway. I also haven’t heard anything from our controller or VP that would suggest cuts on that scale, nothing. I wonder if they pull names out of a hat…
