Has anyone done actual work these past two weeks?

I'm in corporate out of Basking Ridge. The place has been a ghost town. My boss and teammates have all been distant. I am seeing meetings cancelled left and right.

Serious question. When will the "new normal" start for those that make the first cut?


Does anyone know anyone impacted yet?

Ime seeing a lot of what ifs and haven’t seen anyone confirm people being laid off. If you know someone can you confirm what the packages were? I’ve seen different roll out dates for different states and wanted to confirm if it’s true or if people are being laid off on the 20th of dec.


If you do get laid off, what are your plans? Besides searching for a new job

  1. Exercise and eat better and take better care of my health.
  2. Study up on personal finance to figure out how I can retire early, so I never have to deal with this type of bullsh-t from an employer ever again.
  3. Organize and clean my house.
  4. Spend more time with people I love.
  5. Cook new recipes.
  6. Learn martial arts and challenge the Hatchet Man to a duel

I think I will enjoy having more free time on my hands!


Where’s my Basking Ridge peeps at?!

Anyone from Basking Ridge location scared? I keep seeing Lake Mary and multiple other offices in this thread that may or may not be closed eventually or teams that are told to be WFH but haven’t seen much or any posts on NJ location. Any teams in NJ scared of what’s coming? Are we people in tax going to be affected?

I think it would be helpful if more of us participated here so we could all benefit from more information.

I see that new threads get 300+ views within a couple of hours, which is great, but I do not feel we have reached critical mass yet.

I would share this internally, but I am worried I might get in trouble if someone were to report me.

I have mentioned it verbally to my team, but that is only about 10 people.

I could post about it on Facebook using a random name, but I doubt that would actually reach anyone useful.

Any ideas or suggestions on how to spread the word safely and effectively?

What does an IP rating mean?

Got an IP after a great performance year because I worked from home some Fridays last year. Manager never thought it was an issue and never said anything to me until I got a warning in late summer, then the IP rating overrode the EP she entered for me at year end. She was totally blindsided by the warning and the rating. Aside from RTO being a complete joke of a policy to begin with, nevermind that they kept managers in the dark about enforcement, what does this IP rating mean for my income?

I assume no bonus, no raise, no new shares? Will my current vested shares still pay out next March?

Talked to HR and Emp Relations and they just protect Abby's billions, neither could answer my simple questions, so need to ask here.


NJ WARN Notice doesn't have Verizon listed for Nov'25, Dec'25, or 2026

When does Verizon notify the New Jersey state regarding the number of people being laid-off and the date when they get laid off or the date they are off payroll? Currently, I don't see Verizon on the NJ WARN Notice for 2025 for Nov'25 or Dec'25 or 2026.

Has Verizon already notified other states of the upcoming layoffs? Is it listed in your states WARN notice?

one who collect all stats from others and act like he does control everything gets recognition while who do fu--ing hand-on working gets nothing. so CA said we have better culture? are you sure? my question is. my question to CA is.. do you really wan to fix problem or not.
