No communication since notice

Since I was notified that my last day is June 5th, I have not been contacted by anyone. My immediate supervisor has not been contacted by anyone. He has never been told by anyone that I have been laid off. I find this to be absolutely ludicrous and completely ridiculous, but I have not heard from anyone regarding any closing process. Is there any kind of interview? Exit interview or anything? Is this normal for me not to have heard anything?

Layoff talk has changed the whole workplace

I have been through several restructurings before in other companies and here, but this latest situation feels different. Management keeps mentioning budget pressure and possible cuts during meetings, even when the topic has nothing to do with staffing. It has now started to feel less like planning and more like a way to keep people from questioning decisions and keeping us in our lane.

Layoffs are starting

Presbyterian Hospital has announced the layoffs of 150 workers along with the discontinuation of most Medicare Advantage plans in 2027.

According to a statement from Presbyterian Healthcare Services, the layoffs will be in administrative roles and not related to hospitals or clinics.

Geoff got all choked up…

Thought he was gonna cry saying goodbye to his buddy Brett on the earnings call. Clearly he didn’t want to fire him and EM forced his hand. Neuroscience performance was awful (again)… when was the last time they hit plan??? Getting rid of Brett was long overdue— Geoff you are next

Good employees are being pushed out

They're either being laid off or pressured to quit. I don't know what an advantage of getting rid of the best part of your workforce could be either in the short or the long run. Shouldn't we be making sure they remain here? Isn't that what a good company would be doing?

Silent layoffs

Major layoff rounds don't scare me. Those come and go and by the end of them we know where we stand. It's the constant silent layoffs that are destroying me. They can happen at any moment to any of us. That's the real problem with T. That's what's making me lose sleep.

Monroe School Transportation Inc. will lay off nearly 200 workers. This follows a competitive bidding process for school transportation services. PSP

I was laid off last month and wondering if anyone has heard anything about PSP this year and know when we should hear if it’s being paid and what it will look like ?

Need advice on labor attorney

Don't know if this is the right place as this board mentions layoffs, but lately there have been no layoffs yet people are quietly disappearing from IBM. They are handed out a PIP and then right after the end date they are gone. Does anybody know of a good attorney who can take up the case for wrongful termination?

Worked there 20 years, laid off with no warning and minimal severance

The first 18 years, working as part of VUE, were great. I was valued, respected, and my contributions meant something. The along comes Omar, and VUE largely gets absorbed into corporate, the Azure migration occurred, and the culture changed dramatically. Dave Treat really likes to listen to himself talk, Omar and the rest of senior leadership are too busy jet-setting to set a clear strategy. The cherry on top came in May when I was unexpectedly laid off after 20 years, with a whopping 8 weeks of severance. Hello early retirement, goodbye toxic workplace.

BT x Verizon (VBG) partnership / buyout / merger: what have you heard?

As someone in EMEA in professional services (cyber security consulting) at Verizon, we're hearing a lot regarding the potential for certain business units to be sold off to BT to boost their capabilities. What you have you guys heard? In EMEA it was looking like a collective dismissal first, but now it's looking more and more likely that a sell off will take place instead.

Why are layoffs suddenly so silent

I always worry when the storm calms and things are too silent. It was clear at the start of the year and before that we had plans to enforce our hub strategy, and all he-l broke loose with several layoffs. Now it feels too quiet. What was once all this buzz about remote layoffs and reorg layoffs has become completely silent. I do not endorse the strategies, I worry about when kids are too quiet. Curious if anyone has insights on what’s around the blind corner?

Concentrix Layoffs

Layoffs keep happening since last year but they never report it as they are keeping them under the treshold that's required by state laws. Concentrix is really good when it comes playing that game. people are not stupid and all of us can see it but they do manage to keep it away from the media coverage. Anyhow, I was let go after 11 very loyal year and I did have great reviews throughout.

If you are new to Concentrix you will not see this but once you start figguring patterns of behavior of the executives, this will be so obvious.

Good luck all

June 1st

Our VP scheduled a 15 minute meeting today regarding an "organizational update." Has anyone else had similar meetings or received any news today? Curious whether this is part of broader organizational changes or if there may be another round of layoffs occurring. Any insight would be appreciated.
