I do not think lay offs are going to happen any time soon. They can’t afford the bad press. Every meeting isn’t “the big one”

JULY 16th LAYOFF!!!(VERY TRUE)
You heard if first, ask your leaders, everyone should be having some type of call month “towards end of the day”, check your google calender its there! This company is truly a sinking ship since starlink and the other one taking over! Verizon cannot compete anymore basically telecom is dead unless they figure out a way to get something orbiting in space fast! Everyone under pressure at work, SR managers running around WILD with no direction, work is no longer coming in, major budget cuts, everything is being handled mirco, Basking Ridge in CHAOS, tmobile exec came over as a last ditch attempt to save the company with “AI” but yet again tmobile about to outsource to india, spring rifts, summer rifts, fall rifts, holiday rifts get use to it!!..TAKE THOSE AI trainings FYI, it will be on your midyear and end of year you dont complete them trust me you will be GONE!!!
Layoffs starting
Rumor is the entire technology training team was laid off. What a coincidence AI makes documentation super easily. Don't believe a word from leadership. Collect the paycheck and get out as soon as you have another offer.
Charlie Severance
so was told by management that charlie severance has run out and if you get laid off your LOB has to pay it… I suspect more firings in store with no package
Severance packages
What has been the recent severance packages for those getting laid off? I’m curious about the severance base pay (for below job grade 12’s) and additional pay from number of service years.
Did everyone who got laid off received another e-mail from HR thru Docusign today
Was informed that another e-mail will be sent to sign it thru docusign today ( Termination Date ) and I still have not gotten it. Checked the Junk e-mail also and it is not there too.
Cannot call HR as it is past 5:00 PM .
Got the previous e-mail at 6:19 AM on Thu 05/21 to review the docs
Has any one got it ? Is every one just like me
Severance package
Does anyone know if FIS pays severance in lump sum or as paychecks? If the latter, do they have a clawback clause if I’m employed during severance pay period? Im anticipating to be on the next round, trying to plan ahead.
RIP VBS Irving
So just a little update from our oh-so-generous employer: we still have jobs, how lucky we are, but of course it comes with a lovely caveat. We either uproot our entire lives and relocate, or for some of us, we’re stuck here with no options due to legal or personal reasons. And they gave us the super generous advice that we can apply to new positions here, except surprise, there aren’t any that most of us qualify for. So we just get to work for two more months, no big deal, and then we get a whopping two months of garden leave, which by the way is a huge downgrade from the four months they gave people last time. And we only have 10 days to decide: apply, relocate, or do nothing. If I don’t find something in these four months, well, I have no choice but to take the severance and say goodbye. What a dream, right?
And even if I do relocate, what makes me trust that I won’t just get laid off again two months after I completely uproot my life?
Oh, and on top of that, they still expect us to perform as usual over the next two months, making sure we hit all our targets and keep up our usual standards. What makes them think that’s even realistic after all this?
Question for those of you who were RIF'd and already rec'd your final paycheck
By 'final paycheck', I mean the check that comes a few weeks after your termination date and includes reimbursement for accrued unused vacation time (or, in the case of over 65s, all unused vacation days til the end of the year). Were any medical or 401k deductions taken out of the vacation pay?
The Saying is sure true, EVERYONE is replaceable in Corporates
Who is next to get ousted?
Eliminate Senior Leadership Team with AI
I have a proposal for the BOD’s I think they will enjoy. Instead of laying off staff we should layoff the entire SLT with AI in order to drive company growth, innovation, and profitability. By now, the Board can already sense they dropped the ball hiring Enrique because he does nothing except lose market cap value. So why not save the company hundreds of millions by laying off the executives? Do you actually think AI would do worse? This company’s currently at its lowest point in history. Some people will read this as a joke but the more you think they more it actually makes sense. Also, think of all the stock comp that will be saved!! Buybacks will actually mean something now.
The CHK that EXE retirement plan
You hit 40, they'll retire you.
CHK them Linkedin posts folks!
Sick
For whatever reason, they tried to sneak me into COBRA after my layoff. If I hadn't called to fight it I'd have had to may 800 something dollars. But for some messed up reason, they want to still make sure I pay something so I have a 300 something dollar bill (thank you useless offshore rep) that I have to once again fight.
Oh and the reps were all offshored. Man fu-k this place and its current leaders to he-l.

Are we now in the "silent layoffs" stage?
No announcements, no WARN, just a few people here and there?
Can somebody please share if they know of somebody who's been laid off today?
I'm not asking for any details, it's just that my anxiety is hitting new levels with not knowing whether any cuts are taking place today or not. Just a simple yes or no. Please.
D-Day
Any news on the June 18th announcement? Does anyone have any more info on how big the layoffs are or how long they expect people to stick around and "transition"?
July & August layoffs?
I heard a rumor that there will be layoffs on July 15th, and then more on August 15th? Has anyone heard about this? Not sure if it's even true, or what departments.
Q2 earnings reports are expected to be on July 30th, so the July 15 layoffs would be ahead of that call. I overheard this information before the reports that the EU approval for the WBD acquisition is July 7th.

Reflections from someone who was LR'd
First, I wasn't surprised by my LR nor am I bitter. We all know Cisco is a cost-manager first and foremost, and there is still so much that can (and will) be cut from Cisco (and every other large tech co).
I actually applied to some internal roles, mostly for yucks. One HR screen for an SRE position but it was clear they really just wanted someone cheap and low-skill. Hard to get excited about anything internal when you know how Cisco is run.
Otherwise it is quite brutal out there. The traditional job search (resume, apply, interview, offer) is completely over-saturated and time-consuming. I don't think Cisco on my resume is seen as good or bad...it is a name people have heard of but doesn't impress like a FAANG. So you can't expect to get a pass based on your experience.
Interview prep and tech screens are much more absurdly difficult than anytime I can remember. I feel like I am cramming for the SAT. Problem is, every day I spend prepping is another day lost to other things I could be doing. The opportunity cost feels high.
On top of all of this, I have noticed an undeniable trend - declining published salaries ranges.
Companies know this is a buyer's market and are flipping the table on candidates.
I feel really bad for candidates who need $$$ to pay bills ASAP. I wonder how many will just drop out of tech.
As for me, I am going to be an entrepreneur out of necessity. I feel like I am in a su---r's game and I am just wasting week after week chasing what shouldn't be an impossible dream - a moderately decent job in my field - but it is what it is.
Inside Baseball
So grateful for those who are sharing information about upcoming layoffs and potential dates, etc.. At the very least, it gives employees a chance to be prepared. Living with the unexpected has become normalized. Executive leadership does not care how this affects productivity and morale. With a stock price that closed at $40.88, you would think that they would lean in hard to any advantage, like, you know, talented staff whose favor had been curried by their support. Question: thought that TPO had been laid off, but for Bob. He sure must be busy these days.
No Layoff
Layoffs are slowing down. The focus may now shift toward recruitment, with hiring expected to increase from July.
Lots of people laid off today?
It seems like a lot of people got news they’d be laid off today. Does anyone know how many as of this point? Looks like these next couple weeks will be pretty bloody.
July Layoff - Should I hold off on giving notice?
I've now heard from multiple people that the next layoff is planned for July 16th. Does anyone know what areas of the company are targeted? Is it more geared towards the retail stores? I am in FinOps and planning on submitting my two weeks notice later this month. Should I hold off? Do they really give any weight to people volunteering for the RIF? Thanks in advance.

Is there any truth to the June 30 layoff rumor?
That's the official termination date for people cut back in March. So is this a mix-up, or is another round really coming that soon? More layoffs are inevitable, I just want to know if another bloodbath is right around the corner.
Managed Services layoffs June 1st
5ish people let go on a team of just over 50. Our department had lost multiple managed services customers since January with no new clients coming in the door. It seems that the staff losses which started in Professional Services at the end of last year are now accelerating. Client churn had always been higher than other MSPs and has only gotten worse since moving to an offshore-first service delivery strategy.
Customer Champion / Case Mgmt
We are always told that we are the safest, but any chance Case would be impacted with RIFs/Layoff?
No communication since notice
Since I was notified that my last day is June 5th, I have not been contacted by anyone. My immediate supervisor has not been contacted by anyone. He has never been told by anyone that I have been laid off. I find this to be absolutely ludicrous and completely ridiculous, but I have not heard from anyone regarding any closing process. Is there any kind of interview? Exit interview or anything? Is this normal for me not to have heard anything?
Where are we on layoffs?
Involuntary ones.
