I'm a management employee and my boss asked me if I wanted to consider the layoff package. He purposely provided no detail on what the package might look like for someone with 22 years. Anyone have a real idea what the severance packages have looked like recently? Also, are we eligible for unemployment once the severance timeline has passed? Thank you in advance.

I'm in Optum Health and I'm desperate to leave. Like actually considering resigning this week because I can't take this place anymore. However, if there's a chance I'll be laid off in October, I'd certainly choose to hang in there and collect my severance. So my question is... how bad do we think these layoffs will be? Is it worth waiting? And does anyone know when in October we should expect layoffs?

Trying to access dayforce like the instructions stated since I've yet to receive anything regarding signing off on severance or even equipment. Anyone have success or is there a way to access to instructions to make sure im not missing anything? I got an email to my personal email from dayforce about updates being made, but for some reason i cant login or reset my password either.

PIPs are rarely about improving performance. They're about building paperwork to fire you. If you get one, start looking. I'm talking from personal experience.

I had a two decade long career at Shell. I held on to all the shares that I got through PSP and the discount. Two years ago Shell gave me the ol' heave ho severance package because I don't match the DEI quota for senior leaders (aka male on a 100% male team and I don't have either a tan, an alphabet letter, or an accent so I was the one selected to go). I was watching the Shell shares run up in value... but the nagging part was that while watching them climb XOM was climbing faster percentage wise... and for most of the time QQQ and nvidia were too. I kind of regret hanging on to Shell for a higher price when selling Shell and buying a better company would have done me better financially.

Selling Shell to buy a lot of different things would have been better. the idea of hoping your holdings are the winner is like staying with your first pick on the Monty Hall problem

Someone posted on another site that ISM will have layoffs the week of 9/14. They wound up taking down the post.

My supervisor dropped me like a rock in the ranking this year without giving me any heads up. Had me relocate to a new group in a new city. Now I have to stay for 12 months with no possibility of a meaningful raise or repay the relocation costs.

They are rushing to cut headcount costs rather than looking at organizational functions and what people actually do and the value they add to the ecosystem and customers. I want to jump off this sinking ship. Let them deal with the remaining performance obligations and unresolved internal customer issues without enough human headcount.

I lost my job and did not hold back on sending your equipment back. I get an e mail from " corporate IT " on 8-27-26 saying things have not been returned. I e mailed details back from the shipping of said equipment from 8.21.26. I checked the tracking myself and things were received and signed for on 8.24.26 at 10:34 AM to be exact by NFISHER- come on, get it together. Oh, and I am the one who no longer has a job......

FIS is preparing of next wave of layoff before Oct 16. The target is to have lean middle management. Non technical managers in IT services are being consolidated. Each manager will have at least 2 teams. Next 30 days, the managers are asked to provide details of projects they handle.

The projected number is 1000 employees. This is last layoff event of 2026. After that- blackout period starts where there will be no changes due to holiday season.
