W South Beach Ends Marriott Deal, 337 Employees Affected
W South Beach & Residences will end its Marriott affiliation. The property will close for renovations on August 20. This transition will result in 337 permanent employee terminations. The layoffs are effective August 19. Reuben Brothers acquired the hotel in 2024 and plans significant upgrades.
