...and please, please, stop using the above phrase in modern emails. With respect; I get it, it was once a common phrase. Those years are long over.

I can't even enjoy a Saturday or Sunday without my phone buzzing with work emails. GP doesn't care about your time off, they think they own it.

I feel it every time my manager sends a passive-aggressive email. But walking out without something solid lined up is a risk I can't afford to take. The market is uncertain, to say the least, and jobs are scarce. My advice? Do your research, ask the tough questions, and don't leave until you have a signed offer.

Email sent out before 11am, meeting at 1130am and all of Jersey and Bronx level 1 and 2, and retail were let go due to company needs. What a joke.

People leaders were just notified at 12:15 on 7/30/26 via email of employees that were approved for VSP.

Looks like another team may be on the chopping block tomorrow. Just received the “Business Update” email from Director.

Jan-Jaap "JJ" Jager sent company-wide email July Monday the 27th saying there will be layoffs (not in those exact words). No numbers on personnel or financials disclosed.

Although I feel we will all be refreshing our emails tomorrow, I hope the first person who gets it posts it here ASAP lol. Not seeing myself being able to focus tomorrow on anything!

Will we get the email from VSP in our personal or company email address? I keep checking back and forth. They said we will be notified on or around 7/27 so I am hoping to get something today. Tired of these waiting games.

Okay, folks. So what do y'all think is the over/under on the company changing the "new" VSP approval/denial date of the 27th to something another 2-3 weeks out?

I just have this bad feeling about it, and that it's going to happen by the end of this week. The email will start with the old go-to excuse of "we need more time to make strategic business decisions," blah blah blah.

Could I be wrong? Sure. But given their recent track record, I doubt it. Even though VSP folks have gotten their "choose your separation date" emails and the claim is that "you'll know if your role is affected by early August," such a change wouldn't shock me in the least.

I can't help but wonder what most of the people in management positions actually do. They check in, they attend meetings, they send emails... What else? What do they actually produce? What value do they add? We have so many unnecessary layers that just slow things down and create more work for everyone else. It seems like we'd be so much more efficient with fewer managers.

Emails sent out to retail GMs early today by mistake. They had to have a call with GMs telling them that their stores were getting divested and to have their teams be on a call the following morning. The stores that were safe had another call later in the day saying that they were safe and that Verizon was going from 1300 retail core stores to 1k stores and to also make sure to stay productive and make sure their stores stay profitable.

Well the news is out…. Over 250 stores, directors, sr directors…all because someone “accidentally” sent the email out today instead of tomorrow

Anyone willing to share what area they are in (keeping in mind this is all anonymous)? Clearly, not all of us are receiving information at the same time. I wonder why they're staggering the information that's going out to people who applied.

Just got an email asking what separation date I would choose. I am in a role that needs staggered separation dates.

There used to be a web address to check you work email from you home pc. Anyone know what that is.

Without offering too much, I am on the wireless side. I am not a tech or an engineer or a manager and I have not been in an office since covid.

I don't have a crystal ball but I can track patterns and have an instinct when the patterns tell me something is brewing.

For the first time since I have been with Verizon, on the day before a holiday, any holiday, we did not get an email wishing us a happy holiday and we did not get an early release.

I've never expected it but it has also never not happened. A break in the pattern.

In fact, I did not see a single meeting scheduled nor did I get a single email or slack message from anyone about anything.

More than once I thought my network connection had dropped but I did see a green dot next to the most of the people on my team other than the manager.

Did anyone else experience this and does this seem odd?

Their new pilot bc the hate FR’s using admin time goes as followed. No more direct contact with hh via ur work cell. Any fault/flag no mater if it’s a 1 day or not now triggers a JOURNEY. This consist a 3 automatic emails every other day stating there is an issue within the hh. If u do not set an appointment it goes into ur personal phone list. U now call the hh from a call center # that is recorded 3 times, every other day, and u give them the roc # to
Set an appointment bc they no longer want direct contact thru ur work #. If no appointment is set u then just do a drop in at their house. 13 years and I might of done 10 drop ins. I think it’s rude and doesn’t sit well with me. They are getting rid of ur own field areas. U now go were they think there is an issues. The issues u used to resolve remotely, GONE. U now gotta show up for everything even if it takes 5 mins. They are removing the personal rapport and turning everything into a call center, AI, etc bullsh-t. This decision when rolled out everywhere will be the downfall of this sh---y company. They just posted that they want all install at 40% by next year. Needless to say, the free car which has kept me here longer than it should have had lost its value and I’m finally moving on. This company has never listened to their most valued employee the FR. U bring something up and the glass over it with company BS. No 2 weeks notice from this guy when the next opportunity comes along. I can’t wait till this descision burn this company down

Any Leaders in the know. We only have one more day to accept or decline can you add any insight into why the email was sent today suggesting not to apply unless you were wanting to exit the company (in BOLD). I know many on here could use more clarification. by confused Onecenteamer

My job description does not specifically state I need to read and respond to worthless emails. Nor does my job description state I need to attend useless meetings to hear some other Nike loser ramble on about absolutely nothing that interests me.

If there are layoffs today then emails would have already gone out. If people aren't seeing emails then maybe the rumor was false?

I apologize if this is a stupid question. I'm new and trying to figure out how layoffs work here. I've read that emails are supposed to start going out this morning, and I'd like to know is the email an invite for a meeting with your boss or is the email itself a notification that you're being laid off with no meeting?

I left Juniper last year before the transaction was closed and moved to different city. I provided HR with my new address but never received any information post mail or email regarding 401k liquidification. I logged into my fidelity account to find $0 balance. Fidelity wasn’t able to provide any information regarding this and gave me phone number to contact which bins to inspira financial. It’s been 2 weeks I have been contacting them but they also don’t have any of my account information.
Can someone help with who I can reach out in HPE to find out the status of my 401k.

Do we know if the emails will be sent throughout the day?

So if we get the email tomorrow about the VSP, we shouldn’t worry because everyone is getting them, or should we worry?
