Just wanted to check on the timing. If the system sends the email out at 6:00 AM local time in North America, does that mean the team in India will get their termination emails about 2 hours and 30 minutes later, around 8:30 PM EST tonight?

It’s not happening tomorrow FFS. There is a date. It’s soon, but it’s not tomorrow.
Indian transfers to North America go out at 8:30.
If so, then we’ll know in about 30 mins whether it’s actually happening or not, since the IDC folks will receive the termination emails first.
During the 3/31 RIF, I started seeing updates on Reddit and here around 5:30pm PST on 3/30 (am West Coast US) from the India folks who had received a RIF email. I received mine at 3am PST (it was obviously hard to sleep).

Opting for 1:1s in Canada last time around was a decision based on general risk management around labour laws, and some recent Canadian court case(s) involving Oracle.
But there is nothing in the Employment Standards Act which requires a voice-to-voice delivery of the message.
This time around, their risk management may arrive at different decisions.
I haven't read a word about Canada-based impact delivered today.
Then if it happens tomorrow at 6 AM, would the Canadians who didn’t have 1:1s with their managers be safe?
