I used to panic at the thought of getting let go

I don't do that anymore. For the last year I've been doing the minimum and nothing more. Took two certifications on their dime. Spend my days learning things for my next role. Resume is out there. If they want to cut me, fine. The severance will just be extra. I'm ready.

Fear wears off

I'm fed up of management through fear. You can scare people into doing two or three jobs for the price of one for a while, but not forever. Eventually we just stop giving a damn and go back to doing just our original job. I 'm at the point where I don't give a damn if they fire me or not. I'm just done.

They want us to quit

It has never been this clear. The constant stress, the worrying, the intentional withholding of information, all of it feels designed to push people to the edge until they finally say fu-k it and quit. If they can get enough people to simply walk away, it saves them a lot of money. At this point, it is hard not to think that this is part of the plan.

The list of better options

I've started making a list of jobs I'd rather do than stay here. Stocking shelves overnight. Washing dishes at a diner. Answering complaints for a utility company. All of them sound amazing compared to one more shift in this place. That's where I'm at right now.

Layoff number for the rest of 2026

Has the Q1 round of layoffs wrapped up? Are we expecting another round at the end of Q2? What’s the full-year target for layoffs, and how many have already been cut so far? I only saw media mention 1,000 in January, but no numbers for March or the rest of the year. Any clarity?
