Oracle further layoff analysis
Oracle has just scratched the surface with its 10% layoff and showed some positivity with its operational performance in layoff. Its operational performance is still weak.
Its trying to show the investors that it is high tech or growth stock. But it is not. Oracle has history of losses. Just market hype has increased and made it safe for now.
June earnings numbers will show it all
An internal corporate audit is in progress with new CFO and if she is really good there will be heavy cutdown of heads in upcoming qtr. Lots of products will be trashed.
Prepare for your best ... Jump the ship before its too late...
I wish I wasn't this stressed about my job
But I'm in a tough spot right now, and getting laid off would be devastating. I can't even think about looking elsewhere because life has been throwing one thing after another at me for months. The constant worry about work just makes everything worse. I'd love for things to be different, but they're not. I'm just hoping no big cuts happen until I get my head above water.

RIF'd but retirement eligible?
Anyone out there RIF'd in November, but also happened to be retirement eligible? How was that handled?
Anyone NOT take the severance/sign the agreement?
Curious if anyone during any round of these layoffs did not take the severance and sign the separation agreement and if so, what happened and where do you stand now?
Landed a new role.
I got laid off in November. I genuinely thought as a senior manager I couldn’t find another job that pays a base salary that’s 190k unless I get super lucky at a tech company. But in sooooooo shocked and beyond greatful to God after 7 months of constant applications and rejections I landed a role that far surpassed my expectations both in comp and privilege. Don’t give up hope to those of you still looking. It’s so demoralizing - I know. So glad it all worked out.
No H1B laid off
FIS has been preserving the H1B visa employees.
The team had several layoff of US citizen and some were transferred to Cognizant, but all employees on work visa were left untouched.
Apparently FIS loves Indian origin employees
salt lake city RIF
The Salt Lake City office is laying off American employees while retaining Indian married couples, both on H-1B visas, whose positions are being justified through fraudulent job postings — listing fabricated or inflated "DE-demonstrated experience" requirements that don't reflect actual job duties, solely to manufacture H-1B/Green Card eligibility.
So how many people actually got laid off this week?
I heard Optum tech had some cuts.
No IPI Dollar Amount in Severance Letter?
Did anyone else affected by the Intuit layoffs who is IPI eligible get a severance letter that includes the number of weeks of severance and COBRA info, but no specific dollar amount of IPI listed? Some of my colleagues had dollar amounts included (which were of course lower amounts than they typically get), but my letter only generally referenced if you are eligible for IPI it will be paid out with your final paycheck. I think they are going to sc--w me out of my bonus?
Opt in to layoff
Attending meetings this week and the energy and expectations is awful, it’s clear there’s no vision and I’m already so burnt out. Does anyone know if it’s possible to opt into the layoff?
July layoff
Has anyone heard of layoffs planned for July? Also, I heard there are plans to reorganize the Marketing organization. Does anybody know the timeline for that?
Layoff packages
When are packages being sent out?? What is taking so long?
Was 16 weeks only in us ?
Did uk and Australia had same package or 16 weeks was only in us ?
Laid off? See this post!
If you are a U.S. citizen or green card holder and feel you’ve been unjustly treated—whether through biased performance evaluations, wrongful termination, or being passed over for promotions—especially when H-1B workers are in your team, know that there are legal channels ready to support and protect you. Your rights deserve to be defended, and you don't have to stand alone. You have a voice, and there are avenues to fight for the fair treatment and justice you are entitled to:
U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC)
The EEOC stands as a safeguard against workplace discrimination. If you’ve been unfairly dismissed or treated differently because of the presence of H-1B workers in your team, you have every right to file a charge with them. No worker should be sidelined or mistreated.
U.S. Department of Labor (DOL)
The DOL ensures that U.S. workers are protected against any unfair treatment. Employers are legally obligated to prioritize American workers for hiring and retention. If you’ve been bypassed for an H-1B worker or unfairly dismissed, the DOL will investigate violations and hold employers accountable.
State Fair Employment Practices Agencies (FEPAs)
Many states have their own agencies to fight workplace discrimination and unfair dismissal. These agencies are there to ensure that U.S. workers’ rights are respected. Check your state’s official website to find out how you can take action.
National Labor Relations Board (NLRB)
The NLRB steps in when unfair treatment involves collective bargaining or labor issues. If you believe that U.S. workers are being dismissed in favor of H-1B employees, the NLRB can investigate and take action to ensure fair labor practices.
Contact Your Elected Officials
You have the power to demand accountability from your elected representatives. Write to your Congressman or Senator to raise your concerns. They can fight for your rights, bring attention to the unfair treatment of American workers, and push for legislative changes to prevent such abuses.
U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS)
It is illegal for employers to displace U.S. workers in favor of H-1B workers or to keep H-1B workers on staff while laying off U.S. employees. If you have evidence of this, you can report these violations to USCIS for thorough investigation and enforcement.
U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE)
The presence of H-1B workers from countries that are adversarial to U.S. national security can expose companies and industries to significant risks—from intellectual property theft to potential espionage. If you suspect that there’s foreign influence or other national security threats in your workplace, it’s important to report this to ICE’s Homeland Security Investigations (HSI).
Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI)
If you suspect that H-1B workers or employers are engaging in illegal practices, such as manipulating hiring processes, violating labor laws, or committing immigration fraud, you must report it to the FBI. These coordinated efforts can harm the integrity of our workforce, and the FBI is equipped to investigate and bring justice to any parties involved in criminal activity.
American workers deserve fairness, respect, and opportunity. If you feel you’ve been unfairly treated because of the presence of H-1B workers, you have the right to stand up for yourself and fight for your rightful place in the workforce. Don’t stay silent—take action today, and help restore the integrity of our job market.
Morning after….
How does it feel ?
I am a bit restless. Not used to doing nothing but can get used to it. Mostly relieved. Too bored to scan through the 20 page package.
Planning to chill and focus on exercise, kitchen, family and sign the paperwork in a few days.
Still figuring out. Anything else to do and add, chime in please.
Concordia University Plans Layoffs Amidst Deficit
Concordia University faces significant financial challenges. The university expects to implement layoffs to address a $35-million budget gap. Even with these cuts, a $20.7-million deficit is projected for 2026-27. Declining international student enrollment and rising costs contribute to the financial strain. Federal and provincial policy changes have impacted revenue streams.

Never go above and beyond for T
Trust me, after doing it for over 25 years for T just to be kicked out the door...don't do ANYTHING over the bare minimum for T, they won't recognize nor reward, they don't give a S about you, just remember that.

This seems to be a consensus for the next major round?

How big in July
Will it be less than 1000 like in March or will it be bigger ?
As sure as the sun rises in the east …
… water is wet, there will be more layoffs.
In fact, the layoffs are ongoing, just not in one big axe like in March. The next big swing will be within the next 60 days.
They have told you the plan: greatly reduce company size and become nearly completely Canadian-centric. And they are fulfilling that plan.
And as sure as dung stinks, OpenText will continue to su-k.
Housecalls
Any insight regarding Housecalls layoffs? After the meeting in January, I’m still nervous about being fired at any moment but work seems good and my county assignments are mapped until until September. We have even been given incentive visit information.
Big layoffs today
Weird to layoff people before the long weekend, that too on a Thursday. Usually layoffs are scheduled for paycheck day. Heard there were more than 100 people laid off today
Confusing
I wonder if people that post are misusing “layoff” and “termination” because the way people are writing, it sounds like we are back two years ago, where everybody was getting laid off and expecting huge severance packages, which I don’t think is the case anymore. I think layoffs with big severance packages are things in the past… But I could be wrong.
Layoffs today!
JH laid off the few remaining US Retirement service reps (S/CAR role) in the Toronto & Halifax offices today. Jobs are gone to the Philippines. No more reps in Canada in this department . Sad day for this CANADIAN company.
Peter is a fall guy
Layoffs will be over when he gets replaced by the guy from the club...if you know what I mean. Until then layoffs every three months.
Cooling off period
Is there a cooling off period in citi to join back as perm after layoff?
Anyone got their severance details?
I don't know where to go from here.
Laid Off - What are you doing about Insurance? NEED ADVICE
Those of you laid off, what are you doing for Medical Insurance?
With the healthcare.gov marketplace prices having gone up significantly, as well as COBRA cost on the individual end's increasing - what are you doing for insurance / paying a month for Medical Insurance?
Lowest monthly premium on healthcare.gov is $200 or so higher than COBRA in my case, so i guess COBRA is the way to go in my case while severance is still being paid.
COBRA is tough though, if you cancel the month prior to severance ending to avoid paying for COBRA at full price and you are not in the Enrollment Period - you go without insurance for a short time until you can enroll?
What a joke the whole concept is honestly. Getting the shaft from multiple angles so wondering if anyone has thought this through.
Health share? Insurance less? Finding any job with benefits to avoid paying full premiums for medical insurance?
Let's hear your options all you titans of the Healthcare industry!!!
Severance package
Severance payment of 16 weeks plus two weeks for every year of completed services, minus your notice period. Please see the cover sheet of the attached Separation Agreement for more details on this calculation.
Payment of COBRA (health insurance) premiums for you and your family (if they are dependents on your current plan) for 18 months.

BT to cut thousands of jobs by 2030
BT plans to cut at least 27,500 more jobs by 2030. This represents over a quarter of its current workforce. The company aims to reduce costs due to stagnant sales. BT already eliminated 8,500 positions in the past year. These reductions stem from fiber rollout completion and old technology retirement.

Future Layoff Fears Impact Workers
Workers anticipate increased job stress. This stress is projected for the year 2026. Fears of potential layoffs contribute to this anxiety. The rise of artificial intelligence also plays a role. These concerns are impacting the workforce.

7-Eleven Reorganizes, Postpones IPO, Cuts Jobs
7-Eleven has undergone significant operational changes in early 2026. The company delayed its initial public offering, pushing it to 2027 at the earliest.
