Leadership Change

Those of you saying that without a leadership change this won’t be a big deal. Steve Llewellyn‘s retirement was announced Friday. John Dean is coming to Frito US from Beverages.

That’s probably the first domino. Since it’s PEPNA, that’s the US and Canada. Prob some realignment and HQ roles being shifted to GBS

T-Mobile Headquarters Move

I am not a T-Mobile employee!

You heard it here first. This time next year there will be news of T-Mobile headquarters being moved from Bellevue WA to Overland Park KS. Final move will be 2030, following expiration of contract with Bellevue. T-Mobile has been in talks with KS reps and are close to a deal surrounding lower taxes. T-Mobile execs already working to move jobs.

Prepare!

APLA / CS / CW

Wow! Now with CW now gone, Aapla will finally sunset to combine into three geos to simple fy the structure for EH!

SUBSEQUENTLY the roles will be elevated to president level.

Tp
President of America's

Cg
President of EMEA

And
President of APAC

MY BIG concern is what role will then Cs take on or are her days numbered? Allbirds needs some more failures!

Provider Services/Kelly B’s Vertical

Has anyone heard anything new on if Provider Services (under Kelly B.) is still in the “safe” zone as far as layoffs (or even upcoming changes in general) are concerned? We were told on the last round we were safe, but there was not confidence on how long that would be.

WW E-Commerce to absorb Marketing

Marketing teams working under their respective geos will be absorbed into WW E-Commerce on January 1st. Many are concerned with redundancy and eventual reduction in workforce. Not much else has been provided aside from this being a global change but layoffs seem probable by end of fiscal year.

AT&T commits to ending DEI programs

In an FCC filing, the U.S. wireless carrier said, “The legal landscape governing diversity, equity, and inclusion (“DEI”) policies and programs has changed. We have closely followed the recent Executive Orders, Supreme Court rulings, and guidance issued by the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission and have adjusted our employment and business practices to ensure that they comply with all applicable laws and related requirements, including ending DEI-related policies as described below, not just in name but in substance.”

Yeah Dan change the culture

It’s funny how management was always telling us to sell sell sell, follow the prices even if I had to sell to 90 year old lady who is being transferred to assisted living facility who needs a landline just so she can talk to her son every Sunday but I have to ask her does she stream and she don’t know what that is. All of a sudden we customer focused it’s now be nice to the customer do what’s right for the customer, whatever, we have always said that but this regime was always about money money money and now look Dan laying people off left and right. We did this to our selves! Yes everyone is in the business to make money but let’s use common sense. Customer dies , but you want us to ask the daughter or son do they want to take over the internet. Yeah change this sh-t Dan!!

Marketing leadership change

Joe IBM and his gang have pushed the outsiders fully out the way of the leaders team so he can continue his takeover of marketing. Sandy Oh-No is either helping plot his succession to CMO or is too busy with her AI characters to even notice the empire building going on. Sad to see things falling a part due to incompetence and egos winning over good leadership but has happened to many teams and this week to ours. Why do they keep moving functions under someone who not done anything and still thinks he works at big blue?.

More Org Changes in GCAS

GCAS moving to a functional accountability model, head of CIM APAC is gone and will be overseen by a US head. Honestly this is a good change because CIM APAC has been a disaster for years with no accountability or desire to follow required internal or regulatory processes.

Why are job titles suddenly visible in MS Teams?

Hi everyone,
has anyone noticed that our job titles are now showing up directly in MS Teams?

Previously, if you wanted to check someone’s job title, you had to go into SuccessMap and look at their public profile. Now, when you open a manager’s org chart in Teams, you can see all team members and their job titles right away — which also makes it easy to infer their job (T) level.

This seems like a deliberate change, but I haven’t seen any communication about it.

Does anyone know why this was enabled or what the reasoning behind it might be? Curious to hear your thoughts.
