New Blood needed

This stupid company is always organic meaning, all the Execs are long timers (CEO, CTO, CFO..), so they have the same narrow minded mentality.
The company needs some people from outside who have vision and know how to do business. The current mo--ns do not fit for their positions and will only get worse...

Cigna Wrecked Express Scripts

Cigna wrecked Express Scripts. Used to be nice and simple when my health care coverage and my prescription coverage were separate. Now it's just one big cluster F. Service is terrible and all this waiting by the mail box for forced mail order prescriptions. I travel a lot and now I'm at the mercy for waiting for it to arrive in the mail, when ever that is. I hate having to schedule my departures because I'm waiting for the mailman. I can't skip medication or go for days without it. Something has to change! I miss the good old days when I could run to my local pharmacy and pick up my prescript at MY convenience. Now I have to WAIT and WAIT and hope the mailman arrives on time or whenever that is to get my meds. You can't reorder too early because the app will tell you it's too early to reorder!! There's been many times my supply runs out while I'm gone and the "maybe" arrival time is just after I'm gone. No meds for a week or two. They sit in the mailbox for anyone to take. In the heat or the cold. SOMETHING has to change!!!

Bloated middle management remains in Risk

I was one of the grunts that was let go last week. From stories I'm hearing, directors with 2-4 directs remain, all the management in remote locations like CT and DE and those massive salaries are intact. Would have been the opportunity for real change, but nothing will change, but for hundreds of less of us grunts doing the actual work. Yes, I'm a bit bitter.

    Agentic engineering as a standard

We all knew that something like this will surface sooner or later. Now all engineers are expected to go full agentic starting right this second ( according to the communication). They even drafted a roadmap of how they envision this would take place. What are your thoughts about this move? I guess, this is mainly will affect technology but looks like some businesses will be included in this madness as well.

Changes to the tech org

For those working in tech, does anyone have the inside scoop of what changes are on the horizon? I heard they are cracking down on being in the office X amount of hours per day, new desks are being built on the tech floors, lots of leadership has left and the ones who have remained some have been shuffled around.

Telecommuters

Anyone else have people in their office pack stuff up, and told they’re being moved to telecommuter status?

I am in the Richardson office and a large number of people were abruptly told we’re moving to telecommuter. I’m happy, but don’t understand the urgency or the decision process.

Optum is such a mess

It's too much expecting things to improve when it's not just one thing, it's everything. Change the leadership, but if we still have the outdated systems, the processes that require I jump through fifteen hoops to get something done, and the nonexistent morale among the employees, thing will hardly improve. This place needs a major overhaul, top to bottom.

R2B transforming to D2D

What are the thoughts behind this transition? Do you think this is go move or bad move? What are the rumors on how quota is going to be and if we are getting a comp increase decrease or change to salary? Just any more information about this transition would be appreciated. Crazy times right now at Verizon.
