@634 Regarding your comment that the restructuring may be delayed due to the lack of communication, it’s possible that you haven’t heard anything because you may not be directly impacted. In my case, I am being affected, and I’ve already been informed who my new manager will be. That said, the message so far is that it’s business as usual, with no immediate changes beyond the reporting structure. I think many of the challenges resulting from this reorganization will likely involve SOM code changes and the access-control issues they could trigger.
@634 No, I don’t believe Tony H. But I do believe a certain IT leader who, alongside P&O, said that no one would be impacted by the reorganization. Maybe he was referring only to his own organization?
And you’re right, layoffs are still happening, but they’re keeping them small and incremental enough to avoid having to make any formal announcements. I’m sure that’s happening during this reorganization too; I have no doubt about it. Still, given the scale of this reorg and the number of people already affected, it seems that the number of layoffs remains relatively low, at least I hope.
@634 In Technology (now Foundational Technology), since ~3 years you have a round a lay-off every 6 months and it is never publicly announced. One day I've seen a LinkedIn post of a colleague that he was layoff, and 5 minutes after, his post was removed. I suppose the compensation package was contingent to his silence. Then I asked around and learned that his whole group was removed without a scream. Sometimes, you receive an email about someone you know, to share their final day and personal email to stay in contact ... I've seen the same thing in DISW. Siemens don't do mass layoff like what you see in Microsoft or Meta when they swipe away a full part of the company. It is more pernicious and hypocrite ..
@5yr for DISW, Tony said that for now we are done with layoffs, but do you believe him?
I see trims are done very quietly here, no announcements.
Also, I expect R&D teams will have more cuts to go through as the reorg is impacting the segments first.
So we will see in October, so far I believe they are late in the restructuring because I have seen few announcements only and we are already less than 2 week away from start of FY27, probably due to unions talks in Europe

In DISW, I'm hearing that there will be elimination in October. It's a ritual to do it around that time. Co-workers are expecting the worst. Especially the AI projects to streamline documentation dvelopment is a mess, and the management doesn't know what to do so the powers-that-be are angry.
@OP no one knows, not even the leadership who planned it. It will be a FAFO experience.
