For employees who were hired as remote, how are they being handled? Are SVPs/EVPs given the opportunity to prove why they are valuable? Or are top leaders just making the decisions? Understand this will be addressed in Phase 2, but if a remote worker lives in a state where there is no Paramount Office to report to, are their leaders able to fight for them or are top executives just making the call to let them go say in Nov?

Corporate Layoffs?
Has anyone heard anything on corporate layoffs? There were a few people let go this week- are more coming?
Stores being outsourced and closed
Altice just announced closing 3 stores in Brooklyn and selling 17 and transitioning the employees impacted to the new company. New company is Red Lion Mobility which is a shell company that stated 3 months ago even though Altice says in email they are a long standing partner. Their website redlionmobile.com is under construction.
Green River
UP just furloughed all the Carmen and closed down the RIP Track. 17 Carmen. UP just posted TCI jobs in Rock Springs.
Looks like restructuring has started over seas. Soon to hit the USA and NY

soft layoffs in CS
for anyone working on the customer service side and taking phone calls or working as an OE, starting this month they are making impossible to meet metrics mandatory, you need a 90%+ adherence rate, and all your survey statistics from members need to be above 90%
If a single metric or survey statistic is not meeting, you will be sent to the office at least 2x a week, if more than one is not meeting or you do not get it fixed within a month, its 5x a week.
Also, if a single member calls in and their inquiry is not resolved, you need to go into the office 2x a week.
The analysis and expectations from WFM are that the peak season will not be peak at all and barely anyone will be calling in due to how many people are leaving all plans across the board, they want people to quit because they know that people are not at fault when members give everyone bad surveys but they force them to go into the office anyway. Tons of time off is still being offered because they have far more agents than demand and it keeps getting worse.
What’s not on the (vague) org charts?
How many and which jobs were protected/closed? Those folks must be hiding and lying to colleagues pretending they are going through the same thing and which jobs they’ve applied for. Why won’t they show us the full org and number of positions. But saying they can’t legally? Either way, almost done this bullsh-t re org.
Interiors layoff today
Former interiors employee here, I’ve heard there was a decent sized layoff today, maybe the 3rd layoff for the year? Any numbers on the RIF?
Fintech giant FIS lays off 133 people at Seattle-area office
After September 15th these employees will get layoffs as per news
Godfrey-Lee community outraged over sudden staff layoffs
The Godfrey-Lee school district faces backlash after laying off five employees amid uncertain budget future.

RTO will be about headcount reduction
It’s been used as an attrition tactic everywhere else, and there’s no reason to believe it will be any different here.
MTVE layoffs today
Heard there were some cuts at MTV today. Anyone have details?
Expect New ELT Members Soon (Revisited)
Original: If LBT wants to execute to his vision of a slimmer Intel, with hyper focus on 3-4 areas (PC, Server, AI, IFS)... he's going to bring in his own guys he trusts to execute his goals. Let's be honest... he can't trust anyone in ELT today who supported the coup to oust Pat. These people have already demonstrated driving Intel into the ground, and proven they'll stab the CEO in the back (or in the face) for their gain (or survival)... not exactly the people you want to be surrounded by. Many current Intel execs will just retire, get spun off, or find new jobs elsewhere.
Update: Five months later... it's like this guy can predict the future! Aside from Sweater Boy Judas... every ELT/ET member has been replaced now. While the cancer has metastasized, at least they cut out the tumors (ELT), and started chemo (layoffs of deadweight, worthless excess), let's hope a new culture of real work, and zero patience for failure can take hold, and Intel can be on a path of recovery!
Have the layoffs in Australia and NZ been running in parallel?
Or are they about to hit this week? It’s so hard to keep track. My team in NZ hasn’t been affected yet, but that doesn’t really mean much.
Sept 16 is the D day?
Any rumblings?
Any idea how many people might actually end up being impacted?
I mean, after the voluntary exits are counted. I’m honestly worried about the possibility of losing my job. I’ve been casually looking at what’s out there, but the market keeps looking tougher and tougher. Finding something new, or even managing the gap between jobs, feels almost impossible right now. I’m anxious that a lot of us could still end up on the chopping block.
University of Oregon announces 60 more layoffs
University of Oregon is eliminating 176 positions in response to its budget deficit, and approximately 60 faculty and staff will be notified of their termination starting on Sept. 8.

HR su-ks
So a coworker was laid off with some effective date in the future. I'm not going to give away the date because I want to remain anonymous. I don't trust HR detectives.
He's one of the lucky few ones that found a new job right away. They will not give him the severance if he leaves early before the final day. What a joke.
We put people first. Uh huh. Su-k it hr
RIFs mid September
Anyone know which teams and roles are going to be impacted in next round of RIFs (9/17 and 9/18).
Can we volunteer our name on the RIF list?
At this point…can we volunteer to be let go? And if so, do volunteers get the payout? It’s seems like a better deal than staying behind to drown in work and await other rounds of RIFs… So, how do we get our name on the list?
New hires update
Well Ron , you have lied to the flock! State street is hiring contractors and you know what that means there are no internal jobs they want you to quit or get terminated so you don’t get a package. Bravo suspensions, how cheap can it get?
Quote the Raven never more!
RTO is illusion
Use your brains people. If RTO was truly for the reasons DE said - would they still hire off shore? Will LTI contractors and other vendors be relocated to US? How about teams that have members in multiple locations? What about Poland office? Don’t fall into illusion. You are being asked out, not to return to office. It’s a trick.
Layoffs in 2024 and 2025 dues to "budgetary" reasons... Maybe not
If you follow the money- MassMutual's total revenue in 2023 was $37.954 billion. This figure includes premium income of $25.608 billion, net investment income of $11.249 billion, and fees and other income of $1.097 billion.
And- MassMutual reported $41 billion in domestic insurance sales and $274 billion in client assets for its wealth management business in 2024, though a specific single "revenue" figure for the overall company isn't provided in the same way as for publicly traded companies. The company highlighted strong operating fundamentals, with $2.8 billion in statutory operating earnings and a record payment of $9.4 billion in insurance and annuity benefits for the year.
And yet in 2024 layoffs due to budget not making enough money, etc, etc
In 2025 layoffs due to budget not making enough money, etc, etc
Someones is lying. They either have billions of dollars increased year by year or they don't. Only a few months to go before we know what 2025 numbers are. These numbers are made public on their unauthenticated website / press releases. As someone prior wrote : laid off with a Less than acceptable reason.
Stock Buybacks and Layoffs
$200 million in stock buybacks in three years. The top lines their own pockets instead of putting money back into the company and/or investing in their devoted workforce.
The CEO joyfully shouts, "innovation!" While he does nothing but micromanage sales and marketing. How about you focus on cutting ties with captain ponytail and the stock will increase. Analysts and shareholders will dance in the streets.
Stock buybacks, layoffs, and no raises. How can the top be this greedy? You've let amazing talent go over the last couple years while allowing the CMO to hire her friends who do nothing but su-k the air out of the room. Culture isn't dying; it's dead.
We have leaders that are incredibly insecure—primarily the CMO and CTO. They surround themselves with pathetic yes-men and yes-women. They don't respect feedback that would improve their departments. They are dictators. Speak up and you will be laid off.
The CMO continues to build a top-heavy org while cutting those who were doing the work of three people and added tremendous value for the cost. She hires SVPs & VPs in California who take credit for the work that came before them. She then lays people off in lower cost states. She's bleeding money.
Silent layoff of directors and sr directors
Has anyone else noticed that silent layoffs of directors and senior directors?
Organizational Update?
Did anyone else in CenterWell get invited to an organizational update call today at 12:15 pm EST? Are there layoffs coming? does anyone know
Just Got My Notice
Although I shouldn't be surprised, I was. I received the out of cycle 1x1 and was notified yesterday that my role was being eliminated and that my last day was this week.
I'm not here to complain, point fingers, or play victim. But want people to understand that there is never a better time to prepare for your future career than now.
WFR Has Officially Started
After working for Gainwell for 2.5 years, I was just laid off due to WFR at a very unfortunate time.
It's Not You, It's Your Job
Back in the day, people got laid off and then hired back. It was a worker shuffle. A new person would join while another left, but the top brass always stayed because the product wasn't going anywhere.
Today, In AI era, entire roles are being eliminated, not just individuals. The jobs are gone for good. So, if your VP is gone, the product is likely next. You'll be reassigned, and if you can't fit into a new project, you're out.
The old rules are changing. In this new market, ops teams are leaner, and real-time coding is the norm. Everyone is expected to be hands-on, so there's no room for backseat politics. New roles are constantly being created, so your ability to adapt and fit into the changing market is everything.
Don't stay in useless legacy projects. RUN. If not
Expect more layoffs ...
Should I start looking , I’m a supporter engineer!!!
Lately it feel we would be the next one…
Any input?
Hyatt Layoffs September 2025
Who is getting laid off today?
MD represents everything that is wrong with America
He just does. He’s a greedy, sniveling little kiss a$$ that would do anything for a buck. He has no problem taking away people’s livelihoods to make his better. Think about the thousands he’s laid off to only put that money in his pocket. His attitude is that is, “business and not personal”. What MD hasn’t realized yet over 40 years of running a company is that, it’s all personal.
He’s an egotistical megalomaniac and that’s how he will be remembered.
Brace for potential significant layoff upcoming in Europe
Probably in relation to the announcement of Uk and Belgium chemical assets sales (or shutdown). The European Work Council is summoned to a meeting at the end of the month. Generally, it's no good news.
Wirthless Interviews
MW has been making the circuits in the media trying to act like an American Hero. His legacy is already "The Layoff King". In one interview he said he wanted to be remembered for balancing priorities. He only balanced his own checkbook and sold the future of Chevron and its employees to do it!
Leadership incompetence at its best!
Last week, a significant number of colleagues were let go across the US, India, and the UK. The very next day, UK employees were sent an invitation to a World Su----e Prevention Day webinar. That goes beyond tone-deaf — it’s reckless and cruel. Does leadership seriously not understand that this kind of messaging, immediately after mass layoffs, could tip people over the edge? At best it shows staggering incompetence, at worst it feels deliberately insensitive.
Has anyone in EMEA been hit with the RIFs?
I haven't seen/heard anything hitting EMEA just yet and its just a waiting game which is not ideal
Why is EH stock tanking again?
Why is Elevance Health stock tanking again? Did I miss some news? Does this mean even more rifs in fourth quarter 2025? Why can't they get this ship up right again?
September totals
Sep08 7am UTC - Sep09 6am UTC totals: 87 layoffs, 193 additions.
September totals (except Sep01): 4270 layoffs, and 246 additions.
Methodology and day-by-day breakdown is in comments.
There are rumors about Australia and NZ for tomorrow.
Here they go again
More layoffs today as part of "reorganizing" aka send more jobs over to India. Laid off some long time key players. Not sure how that will help with their tech consolidation. This place just continues to tank morale. Sad.
Layoffs confirmed today
Decade and a half at xrx and someone in a private conversation confirmed (at least in their role within the service delivery organization) names are already on lists and submitted to VPs within said organizations.
CFO also mentioned "difficult decisions" being made... my guess is another 15%.
