Thread regarding Verizon Communications Inc. layoffs

Market has rejected Dan's plan.

Market has rejected Dan's plan. Its been a week since they announced 15K layoffs, the stock hasnt moved an inch. Could be a signal that market is anticipating further deterioration at the expense of cost reduction.

@OP no rejection. just indifference. VZ is currently valued becasue of the dividend element. It’s looked at as a simple utility provider. Though energy utilities outperform VZ as well. Wall Street waits to see outputs commiserate with the inputs/restructuring.

@a3 He's right. The stock is not moving because of these ill-conceived moves. Expect the stock price to further deteriorate. Verizon has no plan for growth.

@a2 absolutely wrong! Market is very forward looking and considers future outlook.
