Really sheds a light on how unserious our leadership team has been for the past 5+ years, it's too bad he's going to fire my a-s because this is the first time I've actually heard someone at that level make any sense whatsoever

OUT OF TOUCH CEO
If you were unlucky enough to get that god-awful “Friday Note” from, you know who, then you’ve already witnessed the nauseating display of wasteful spending happening at headquarters. With threats of massive layoffs hanging over everyone’s heads, right before the holidays, mind you- it’s beyond tone-deaf to flaunt their lavish parties and celebrations.
It’s absolutely deplorable. A disgusting, out-of-touch flex from people who clearly have no clue what it’s like to worry about paying rent/mortgage, feeding their kids, or surviving after Q3 earnings hit and heads start to roll. While the field scrambles to hold everything together, they’re busy partying it up on our dime. I can only imagine the “celebrations” they have on the company dime that they don’t dare share images of.
I’m genuinely embarrassed to be associated with such a shameless and heartless company
Even with all the layoffs, trouble makers are still there
Hearing about so many layoff, yet the people who put us in this situation are still around. Unless we remove those bad apples, how could someone change the company?
Hans
I'm so thankful Hans is gone. That dude was an embarrassment and ran VZ even further into the gutter.
His DEI nonsense was not appreciated. He cried for George Floyd during an internal company webcast and THEN gave $1,000,000 to Al Sharpton's National Action Network! I was freaking livid!
He was the absolute worst and won't be missed
Really? You kept him on the board?
How can anyone respect the CEO when he continues to get huge raises despite crazy bad performance. The best was JB who was the mastermind of the collapse he not only got a bunch of raises and bonuses, he was asked to leave and got a heroes send off and is staying on the board.
Really? You kept him on the board?
I had my best selling year and results in 20 years, got a lousy 3 review, was told that JB didn't want anyone above a 3, my boss said he gave me a 5 and it was downgraded to a 3 because JB didn't think anyone deserved more than a 3.
Almost everyone who was valuable to Fiserv have left
Almost everyone who was valuable to Fiserv have left, some retired, some were tired of the complete mismanagement, some found better opportunities…. Bottom line, the cream of the crop are gone leaving the less talented and the incompetent. I don’t see Fiserv coming back at this point, it’s too far gone, too little too late, too bad….
The obscene thing is that management think they know their stuff, but they are the most incompetent people I’ve ever seen. Turn out the lights.
Survivors guilt
I’ve been here a few years now and while it has not always been great working at this place, I have grown close to my coworkers. Tomorrow is going to be an awful day. They seem to be okay with it as we have known a long time this was going to happen sooner or later. It seems cathartic for them that it’s finally over after constantly waiting for each layoff over the last 2 years to finally be over to see if they were sticking around longer.
Myself and a few other contractors are what’s left of our department. Our fate is tbd and all we know is we have a month before we “wrap” or get extended. It’s been awful every year since the first big layoff watching coworkers from other teams go but it finally hitting home has left me numb.
I came here with aspirations and goals. This place used to be my childhood. I would sit on my basement floor watching hours of tv wanting to just grow up so I could go see blink 182 play a concert during spring break at Daytona beach. When I got here I had no clue the nightmare I was walking into.
I was told people here were petty, played favorites, and it was very political here as well as cheap. Every single one of those warnings were true… for some people here. But my coworkers, they cared they were understanding they were on my level of wanting to make this a better place but knew it was impossible due to our terrible leadership. They always had my back through some rough times and would always help when needed.
We are just numbers on paper to rich people getting richer by the day. Loyalty means nothing here and while I want to continue working to collect a check, it feels like I am just being held back while everyone else moves on because who knows how much worse it’s going to get.
Every goodbye email I get is surreal and I feel more and more hopeless about my chances of staying on. This place is full of bad vibes and even worse management. I know I should be grateful I kept my job or whatever it currently is but the cement ceiling above my head feels like it’s been pushed down even further.
I feel like I’m in a state of shock doom scrolling not paying any attention to the world around me right now because I can’t comprehend how on Monday when I sign on, my coworkers won’t be here to talk to.
Obviously we will keep in touch but it felt like eventually things would change for the better here maybe certain people would be pushed out making room for actual positive growth but no not this time.
This is my 7th layoff in 2 years. I watched many many good people lose their jobs since the first one. Many great creative people who kept this place alive with hope while cable was dying around us. Departments around me disappearing while some of the worst people moving up into positions of power. It was never fair.
Anyways I’m going to just hope for the best as usual. I’m so sorry to anyone who lost their job from this layoff and I’m sorry to the rest of us who have no clue what’s going to happen next.
Keep your heads up.
They made us RTO all the while knowing about layoffs
The layoffs were in the works for months and the execs certainly knew about it. And yet, Prat and Rick still decided to call us all back to the office on their arbitrary timeline, upend our lives and schedules, and scramble for desk space. All to lay off people mere weeks later. Do they get a sick enjoyment out of controlling us like puppets or are they just really bad at decision making?
Explain how MM is the right one…
The right one to lead the bank out of this self-inflicted downward spiral. How many word fumbles and nervous gestures are allowed? Who is the backup? When will the bank be sold? For the good of the membership, just like the Investment Management Co. All valid questions.
So glad I left
Left several years ago when my immediate supervisor told me he had no clue what it team did. Get out while you still can
Done with this place
Fu-k this I’m taking a demotion somewhere else. Worst leadership in my 20 year career
This place is a lost cause...
there isnt any fairness here.
lower managers are incompetent and self serving.
divisional, office, and regional folks back them... barely less incompetent, and they double down on bad calls. period...
the same troublemakers get protected all the time - that's the culture.
ive watched awful managers, bullies and bad at the job, stick around for years.
nothing changes, just more of the same.
this place is a lost cause.
Lifer
I was a "lifer" (almost thirty years) who was severed September 2024, and all the wind had left my sails in the turmoil throughout the year or so previous to that. In all my time there, there had never been a worse problem with either leadership (including the Dauman fiasco) or morale (including after the Freston firing).
It was still an emotional blow when it happened, but I had been expecting it and had already mapped out some personal projects I wanted to pursue in order to cleanse my palat.
After just a couple of weeks, I found that I was sleeping better, getting up earlier, laughing more, feeling more spry, and had lots of creative energy that I was excited to put to use.
In short, I felt about ten years younger -- which made me realize that this wreck of a company had been making me feel ten years OLDER.
The financial concerns that I face now now come nowhere near the stresses of being inside the ever-worsening toxic behemoth. My brain is in a far better place now.
This post is not mine, just sharing what "Been There, Glad To Be Done With That " posted earlier today - here is the link Post ID: @cy+1k8s4d0wm
I want Bisignano and his minions imprisoned
So the bottom has finally fallen out, huh?! The smoke has dissipated and the mirrors shattered. The Bisignano scam has been exposed. Now shareholders are left to hold the bag?l. All those ppl whose compensation was tied to stock shares. Sc--wed. Meanwhile, Bisignano has cashed out and is off probably finding ways to ruin social security at the behest of his sc-mb@g boss.
What will it take to get this clown and his minions imprisoned? What lessons can we learn from this? One thing that I've learned is I won't be accepting any compensation that's tied to stock. Give me my cash and I'll invest it on the market as I see fit.
Prepare for more layoffs while fck boi Frank with his seared conscience enjoys the money he stole from us.
This is disgraceful.
Chairello, Foskett, and the regional heads in Europe and APAC (IVO) should be fired
These folks are dishonest, incopetent, unethical liars and holdovers from Franco's reign of cronysim, and engaged in years of damaging self promotion and suppression of knowledgeable talented senior staff who knew better.
Mike needs to move swiftly and send these folks packing. You don't need them Mike, the messes you have been uncovering have their fingerprints all over them. I am pleased they lost 45% of their stock portfolios today too.
Director
It's starting to show that C suite leadership is not effective in growing revenue, continuing existing client relationships or has an effective plan for the future. Look at the negative growth for years and years. Quarter after quarter of reductions, selling off effective business units and solutions has gutted a once great company. When will the board get a backbone and make needed changes? Probably after it's too late. It's not working and finally the stock is showing the lack of value. My advice...leave while you can.
They are at it again!
Just had a random meeting which said they terminated random positions. Did not even bother to tell us what the impact is or how to prepare.
This company wants to fail and just get bought out. Customers are leaving in droves and brain strain is causing it to be broken and hacked. This butcher of a CEO is crazy.
That GTH was nothing
Am I crazy or did that town hall this morning not give insight to anything? The only time Farley talked about rto was how personal he took the conference room hack but the culprit has been found and fired. Being the first GTH since this policy went into effect and not addressing it in the slightest is such a coward move by leadership. How does he get paid 20mil + gifted jerseys to drive around Utah in a Bronco and give these sh---y town halls?!
Sinking ship
At what point do we stop hiring executives from companies that aren’t in better shape than ours? Medical Solutions never aimed to become another AMN, yet AMN is struggling too — so why are we trying to mimic their work model?
When do we stop bringing in high-salary leaders who have made no meaningful improvements in efficiency or culture? Instead of investing in tools and resources that help employees succeed, we continue cutting them while expecting staff to do more with less. It’s disheartening to see cost-saving measures repeatedly lead to disaster after disaster.
How long can this company sustain itself while hiring redundant executives, cutting essential tools, and ignoring the root issues? Nothing is improving. The leadership seems disconnected from the people who actually keep the business running — treating employees like replaceable labor instead of valued contributors.
At least under previous leadership, people wanted to work hard because they felt supported and motivated. Maybe it’s time to bring that spirit back — bring back the kind of leadership that inspired effort and loyalty, not resentment and burnout.
Start from the Top
start trimming down the fat. all the useless directors, associate directors, “client executives”, all of these useless drones that do nothing but pat themelves on the back.
I survived for now, but there is no logic here.
My peer who has been with the enterprise almost as long as me got the tap today. They were a hard worker (always seeking more work in an effort to avoid this), very knowledgeable, very ethical.
This is a loss for the firm, and there was no logic to it. Just a body to fulfill a cut requirement number.
So if you think you are safe because you are a smart hard worker or if you spend your time on here telling other folks they are su-kers for not somehow avoiding getting cut, I have some bad news for you.
HR Enterprise - a total mess
They brought in this woman who had no experience in HR to lead the function. Imagine managing a horrible team of old fogies who have been in their positions with absolutely no contribution. Hear she is moving to another function... only God save this company......
AEP Lyes
Worst experince of my life. nothing but a bunch of false promises and liars. Former and cutrent people there pick on people with disabilities.
Poor Performers
I have noticed during my time here that HQ has a really high tolerance for poor performers. We definitely have a few in my area that just skate by and hardly put in any effort. I wouldn’t be surprised at all if they all survive Tuesday. Management protects them so much. Is this toxic cultural trait common on a lot of teams?
Other Healthcare Companies Employees expressing very similar complaints as Humana — Doesn’t make it right
Click on the links for other healthcare companies like Elevance, Centene, and Optum and you will see a very similar vibe as to:
1) abusive leadership trying to get employees to quit by using mind games of stress,
2) layoffs,
3) RTO return to office
4) H-1B Visa abuse,
5) Outsourcing,
6) Artificial Intelligence taking over human jobs,
7) Ageism regarding ERP
8) Racial discrimination against own American citizenship as well as those who happen to be caucasian in skin color
9). Etc. etc.
It is almost as though all these CEOs got together and instigated a plan.
Target's Weekend of Cruelty: Incoming CEO Commits First Unforced Error
“Making employees stew over the weekend is an unforced error by incoming CEO Michael Fiddelke. Forcing employees to spend five days in agonizing uncertainty is inexcusably cruel. This first major decision by Fiddelke is a case study in corporate tone-deafness.
Under current CEO Brian ‘Brand Ki-ler’ Cornell, Target's inexplicable pandering to the Trump regime—including the rollback of Target's exemplary diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) initiatives last January—has already sent TGT stock plummeting 33%, wiping out over $20 billion in shareholder value by mid-September.
Fiddelke, Cornell's hand-picked successor, has immediately embraced the same cluelessness that further damages the Target brand. The effort to secure $600 million by eliminating 1,800 jobs is cutting off your nose to spite your face.
Executing these cuts in such an unnecessarily cruel manner does absolutely nothing to dig the Target Brand out of the hole Brian Cornell put it in. It also does nothing to revitalize and cultivate the cultural and creative energy that is essential for long-term growth.”

Long line of poor decisions, sick...
a decade+ of bad calls have wrecked the org. period...
Merch is an utter mess. It used to be elite - now it is junk. sooo hard to see how they recruit.
The brass tanked the stock valuation with suic_idal blunders.
Broken Culture
Too many occasions where someone wants to do good work but blocked by another. Too many emails don not get a response and this includes leadership. How are employees supposed to do their jobs or fulfill the asks and goals given by our leaders? Impossible. One cares anymore.
Time to clear house. The house eero built
Reposting for visibility. The original question was why address design structure in the wake of a 2 billion dollar loss on ev side of the business.
@ff I would say both. Studio for reasons mentions by a few people here. It's honestly an antiquated group within the company. Very old school way of thinking there. As the company evolves around them they are stuck in a bubble of arrogance. Way too top heavy on the salary structure, just look at the amount of level 7/8s there vs how many people actually do the work. Others areas at wtc might have one L8 covering hundreds of workers. Over there it feels the opposite.
As far as design when it pertains to production parts and process's I would say there is some bloat on that end as well. You start talking about DREs that "own" one or two widget parts on the car or maybe a couple models. They didn't design the part, there might not be changes to the parts, there might have been no issues since the part was designed but for some reason we need to have a whole group support it. That goes for almost every system and part put on the car. Leadership is scrambling trying to right the ship but they are cutting the wrong items out of our proven process's. Ask yourself why we still have multi thousand car floats that need repair at ALL of our plants... I'll answer for you... We didn't actually test anything like we used too because some out of touch boomer thinks AI and virtual reality will solve the companies problems. While we are at it why is so much money being dumped into battery development at this Wallace lab and the shuttering of mock up. The public has spoken, not many people want evs, especially without the tax credit. maybe Steve Jenkins can answer at the next Cole podium fireside lunch and learn brought to you by Starbucks
Why do we need so many layers of management?
What’s the point of having all of them? If we really need to reduce costs, why aren’t we cutting some of those positions instead of the people actually doing the work?
Departner
I'm in New York this week and a friend of mine works at Goldman and said in their model they "departner" people every few years. That way you don't have someone with a nothing job making millions of dollars. If Jones is serious they will look at that. It would have prevented all the "retirements". Too many people without real jobs adding nothing who are millionaires off the backs of everyone else.
New Centralized UM
The New Centralized UM leadership is out of touch with the employees ! It is chaos, disastrous and not doable. Huge stress and unbearable!!!
No Queen's Rally
October 23, 2025 there will be a No Queen's rally on public property at 12555 Manchester Road. St. Louis, MO at 2 pm protesting Penny Pennington's terrible leadership. Signs and petitions for a vote of no confidence will be provided.
Are they trying to ruin the company of purpose?
Morale is in the toilet, it takes teams 10x as long to build anything meaningful in tech. No good requirements from business to even build anything. We continue to invest in things that are failing or aren't even thought through. It's just been a bunch of 32 plus managers trying to meet their goals to get big bonuses by being yes men and not innovating anything, laying people off to pretend to have profitability. Now we are seeing the fallout from these decisions. Optum used to be a company I was proud to say I worked for. But I have little faith, even my own manager is having a hard time getting us motivated. Fear will only motivate the masses for so long. Then people stop caring. The Indians are not gonna put up with this either, Optum is one of the lower paying employers in India too and they all know it. What IS the long term plan guys? Do you all think past the next earnings report? Because these decisions are not made by a company who is seeking long term financial gains. Good strong companies treat their employees like gold, not trash. The job market will change, the Indians will go to Humana or some other healthcare company that treats them with respect, and the Americans will be done with you. My advice? Invest in your long term employees. Especially considering that many of us have so much domain expertise that will put your systems in harm's way if you lose us.
how long before OCI has a outage like AWS today?
I'm kind of thinking it happens soon. Oracle is laid off so many talented smart people, they've terrified the remaining people with talk about how AI is going to replace them or they're going to get laid off, and they're driving away any kind of decent talent from ever applying...
it turns out being a greedy psychopath a--hole id--t is really expensive
Eggy
Fake human being IMO. Typical preach and then do the opposite.
Strategic Brilliance: Switching Platforms Until Morale Improves
The only thing more consistent than their quarterly all hands metings is their biannual migration between Teams and Zoom.
Every six months, executives, fresh off a “strategy retreat” involving buzzwords, golf carts, and a suspicious amount of Sodabi, decide that this time, the other platform is the holy grail of productivity. Cue the chaos: a month of re-training, a month of muttering, and four months of pretending it was genius. Historical recordings? Gone. Lost to the void, sacrificed at the altar of “thriving family”.
But don't worry, leadership assures everyone: next time, they'll get it right.
CVS Health to layoff 72 remote employees after loss of Ohio contract
CVS Health plans to lay off 72 remote employees due to the loss of a contract, which will also effectively end CVS Health's Aetna Medicare Medicaid Program for Ohio residents.
CVS Health said in an Oct. 17 notice filed with state Department of Labor that the layoffs will affect remote employees who report to Aetna's headquarters at 151 Farmington Ave. in Hartford. Most of the effected employees live in Ohio, with one employee residing in Michigan and another in Kentucky.

I just don't have time for the foolishness
Dell is just a foolish place. I just don't have the time for the politics and ridiclious decision making from our management team. I do what I need to do every day and ignore everything else. Our management has become totally mo--nic and everything is political so I just don't bother with it anymore. It's such an unethical company, I sincerely hope at some point the SEC come downs hard on them and they get sued.
If you are in management you are worthless and clearly management has changed considerably to a point where I just don't respect them anymore.
For now, it's just a job that will get me by so I can build my resume and then move on in a couple of year.
