Investors unhappy overall performance

Many investors want to exit their positions in FIS, but most of them are currently down by 30% to 50%, and some even by 70%. Because of these heavy losses, they are unwilling to sell at this point. What investors really want is either a strong turnaround in the company’s performance that drives the stock price up, or for FIS to be acquired by a major industry player so they can recover some value.

However, FIS has a very large workforce, and no major company is interested in acquiring such a high‑headcount organization. As a result, FIS has begun outsourcing and laying off employees to significantly reduce its full‑time workforce—potentially by up to 50% compared to today. This process is expected to continue through the end of the year. Once the company becomes leaner and more cost‑efficient, a sale becomes more likely

NCR Atleos Serbia massive layoffs

It appears that a significant wave of layoffs is underway here in Serbia. I know several people who were let go in the last couple of days. There are rumors that it will continue to happen throughout the next couple of months. I am on the Voyix side of the fence, things here are looking as bleak as it's possible.

Public information regarding the Layoffs

OpenText Reportedly Cut Jobs in March 2026.

https://stlawyers.ca/blog-news/opentext-job-cuts-march-2026/

https://betakit.com/opentext-employees-report-job-cuts-tied-to-apparent-restructuring/#:~:text=OpenText%20employees%20report%20job%20cuts,to%20take%20over%20as%20CEO.

Reports from this week (March 23–24) indicate that the cuts are not just hitting entry-level staff. The restructuring is specifically targeting:
• Senior Analysts and Team Leads: Multiple reports from the Waterloo and U.S. offices mention that long-tenured leads and senior-level individual contributors were let go in "8-minute" termination meetings.
• Product Management: There are indications of "flattening" within product groups, where middle-management layers are being removed to speed up decision-making for their AI Cloud products.

How many VP's with their bloated wages are going?

After the worst day working for this company in over 10 years I want to know how many VP's are losing their jobs? I am a 'lucky' one and am staying as an FTE but I feel sick about what has happened today and the spineless way the VP's handled the meeting. The upper management should be ashamed at how they have mismanaged this company. A show of the worst aspects of capitalism was displayed today. Too spineless to make people directly redundant and give them a redundancy package they have earnt from years of services. Forcing them to another company which a quick search shows are morally repugnant and treats employees as disposable assets. How long will it take for the board to step in and make the needed changes at the top? The changes in employee numbers over the last 5 years is shocking. Senior managers; You have broken trust with your employees, you have broken our morale, how long do you think this company will survive when you treat people like this.

Charlie Schart (And I meant what I said)

Laid off by verbal notice in January, not given ANYTHING in writing until almost 2 full weeks later. Manager didn't bother to make the 40 min train ride to lay me off in person.

Then was stonewalled by manager and HR- not an acknowledgement that I had e-mailed to ask when I would be receiving information so that I could plan.

Sh---y, inhumane way to do it, and it all comes straight from the Charlie Scharf. The company started that downslide when he walked in the door.

Relieved to be away from the toxicity.

Meanwhile, out in the real world, Red Storm just laid off 100, and Epic Games 1000.

Corporate monsters, demons and pigs

Over the course of the last year, I watched as my friends were blasted away. A feeling not unlike sitting in a trench, the sirens begin, foxholes are filled, and some unlucky chosen never make it back. While dramatic, this is the feeling I get with every announcement, email, and report.
Today, my friends were sold like property. Some spent their lives here, only to be told the work and time they put in is worthless, that they’re no longer with us. Offered up like it wasn’t their lives being affected. For what? So some disgusting rich pig can get fatter? So some greedy corporate demon can keep feasting on us?
I know this place is he-l, but I pray we aren’t so godless that justice goes unserved. Imagine sacrificing people just to pad your pockets.
I have nothing to say about what happened today, no news, nothing. My words are gone, and every day here is filled with apathy.

Nike Director+ (U.S.) Leadership Diversity Trends 2015 → 2024

Estimated — Nike Director+ (U.S.) Leadership Diversity Trends (2015 → 2024)

• White (non-Hispanic): ↓ 12% - 15%
• Non-White (racial/ethnic minorities): ↑ 45% - 60%
• Women: ↑ 20% - 30%
• Men: ↓ 15% - 20%
• Minority leadership: ↑ 30% - 40%
• Women in leadership: ↑ 15% - 20%

How this was constructed (summary):

• Uses Nike’s published FY2020–FY2021 Director+ race data (exact)
• Uses Nike’s reported minority % and gender % through FY2023/24 (exact totals)
• Extends back to 2015 using Nike’s stated multi-year progress and targets
• Applies simple interpolation/trend estimates where full yearly data is not disclosed
• All figures represent directional, magnitude-correct estimates — not fully disclosed year-by-year data
• Most detailed race data available: FY2020–FY2021 only
• Post-2021 reporting: aggregate minority % only (no race breakdown at Director+)

A previous poster in a separate thread challenged to build this based on historically reported information. There is enough publicly reported information to state the above is better than directional.

What does it mean? And what does this have to do with layoffs? Well, there is one group that clearly should be worried a bit more than others ahead of and during a layoff.

Act accordingly, and get out while you can.

Layoffs/transfer out timeline and numbers

My SVP told me 1k employees will be RIF’d and 1k will transfer out.

There will be a phased approached to more in 3 months time when transition has completed and more expected then
OP: @a3+1kmgk61vh

Just came across this somewhere in replies. Putting it up for visibility.

None-Core layoffs?

Non-Core layoffs, who's actually been affected?
I'm a US-based remote employee in an SMBC Non-Core unit. I was certain I'd be laid off, but the axe hasn't fallen on me or several peers.
Is this a real stay of execution, or just a holding pattern before they sell us off?

SF Chronicle: Bay Area Cuts

Layoffs across major Bay Area tech companies like Meta, Google, and Salesforce have continued into 2026, reflecting a shift in the job market after years of aggressive hiring. While demand still exists for highly skilled workers, companies are becoming more selective and offering smaller severance packages. Most laid-off employees are finding new jobs within three to six months, though some searches are stretching up to a year. High living costs in the region make job loss especially difficult, as unemployment benefits are limited and often far below previous salaries.

Not as bad as it first sounded? Or they wanted chaos?

Yesterday we understood from the call that EVERYONE in the PS,CIO , DEV (except a few people) will be moving to 3rd party companies or let go, but today many people from all impacted groups are already retained, was this poorly communicated or they wanted everyone to feel the threat(then feel grateful?) feeling bad for those who moved or laid off, wishing you the very best .

Hold my beer …

… is what the chairman of the board likely said when it was assumed that Mark B. brought OpenText to the lowest depths possible. Jenkins is doing a great job of flirting with stock prices in the teens, which he will soon reach, and destroying what little morale was left.

I was let go today after receiving a great review and a hefty merit increase. I worked hard and produced great results. And as the case with many others before me and today, Mr. Jenkins and his ilk said sc--w you. Meanwhile, the two-legged snakes, family members and ever-shrinking legion of sycophants blissfully flop around in the increasingly pot of boiling water.

This ship has already hit the iceberg and is sinking at a faster rate than it was during the disastrous regime of Mark B.

The 3-book series on AI will not save this company, nor will the line-up of summits in Canada will not save this company. It is too late for that.

To all you good people still stuck on this garbage scow, find a life-raft now. Because if you thought marketing campaigns featuring scary muppets, goats and bland superheroes were bad, the upcoming Canada-is-a-trusted-player-in-AI campaign will “elevate” your opinion of those disasters.
