Anyone see Fran’s interview?
Where is she getting all the numbers about 75% of the people getting our yard are getting internally placed again? Most instances the reqs are frozen or there’s none to apply to. She is so fake and I can’t believe people love her post.

I saw the same thing for most candidates who were impacted weren’t even considered for internal roles, and to be honest most internal roles were already for existing people and just posted for optics
I have former non-technical Cisco coworkers laid off 2 years ago, with more degrees and certifications than I do, who still haven't found employment after getting laid off at Cisco. It's really bad out there.
The thing is, I've watched other people get hired in their place, and do a worse job. Probably for a cheaper salary. But still.
Fran says she’s saving jobs
Thank you Fran. We are Cisco.
We all had a good belly laugh about that lie. Not a misunderstanding, not a simple error, a straight out lie. We laughed then were disgusted because those of us who work in this space know it’s nowhere close to 75%. It’s less than 10%. And there is a focused intention to NOT bring back or retain those affected by layoffs. The thought is it’s better to bring in “new blood”. Not a matter of opinion, this is factual and I deal with it on a daily basis
"Coding mandatory". Now there's a dead end role that even the monkeys they've trained to do it will be out of a job before long.
I keep seeing on the teams chats that many internal jobs are getting auto reject even with matching keywords in the resume.
I haven't even searched for internal jobs. I am not going to let Cisco get in one more kick to the cr---h.
If you aren't technical, with a computer science degree, 5-10 years of coding and just want to be a do nothing "manager" you're SOL because those are the mandatory requirements now on most postings.
I'm grateful. I filled one.
