LAYOFFS TE Dublin

New push. Collective redundancy. First round today with many more to come this year. Not based on performance as all the usual wasters still hanging on. If you are still there you need to jump immediately. Dublin to fully close by the end of the year. Ireland Employment Law a massive issue. Everyone engage your solicitors do not be bullied. Give Bravo a financial headache. WRC scares them.

Whispers and te---r

It’s been interesting to watch the leadership at the dept level try to make sense of the pending layoffs. Squirming like a worm on a hook.
They don’t know what is coming next and are clearly scared.
We want answers and all they want are “more calls, call activity, activity leads to activations” are the callouts on our weekly “rally”.
What’s worse is that they have 2 co-mangers running the vbs teams. One just brought on and the other so bumbling who when challenged shrinks up like an Eskimos sc----m. They won’t admit or comment on our impending move or the layoff of the “specialty” teams.
Young employees like myself should have a better example of leadership.

Resiliency Group Layoffs

I heard the business Resiliency Group in technology had some folks let go to "right size" the org. Does anyone know how many and if there are any other groups getting the slice?

PIP then Layoff

Did this same scenario happen to anyone else? I was put on a performance plan for 30 days sept 24th with a list of things to get completed. I had arguments of course of what was written on it. All bullsh-t of course. Even still I did all the things and in a meeting my boss even said I was working towards improving and looking better. Blah blah blah
30 days come and get a meeting invite and told to stay home. Literally got let go exactly 30 days later Oct 24th after my so called performance was improving.
My boss was literally reading from a script telling me I’m let go and I will receive a letter via email to sign. About a week later I received the email I had to sign it or I wouldn’t get my sh---y 60 day pay.
I see others got let go in a different way. Either way this can’t be legal. What do we do? Can we fight this?

2026 Kickoff LinkedIn Posts Have Begun

I thought there might be some humanity, some authenticity, some humility in kicking off 2026 after the biggest layoff in company history. The biggest layoff directly resulting from horrendous organizational structure and misalignment from the top all while lying to employees about how great things were. Nope. The Chief Product and Marketing Officer posts on LinkedIn and celebrates meeting in person as if that itself is a major accomplishment. Claims direction is clear when literally nothing is different other than #playingtowin vs #gobeyond last year. And then the most tone deaf of all is saying “we have the right people.” The right people after a massive layoff and more to come? Wow. “Leadership” has not changed one bit. Expect the same or worse results because people can no longer pretend this clown show works anymore.

Is this for real??? Or some impractical joke???

I started a role 3 months back from Ohio, I had to relocate for the role to Boston per contract (which I did at my own expense)

However, I had asked if I can instead relocate to Westlake as I have family there, for which I said No.

This morning my manager told me, my position will be moved to Westlake.

You can't seriously be kidding with this BS?????

I now have 3 months to find a new role within fidelity or let my snake of a manager know in two weeks if I'll be able to relocate to Westlake (at my own expense again)

Fidelity has become a joke!!!!! I wish I took some of the other posts seriously before taking up the offer.

RIFed employees - how are you holding up?

It’s the second “working” Monday morning of the year. The first week back from the holidays is just over, and now reality sets in. How are you doing?
I have about 10 applications to other companies in a “submitted” status. I had one interview in December that I thought went very well but I haven’t heard back from yet. I am grateful to have the time with my family, but this morning I’m feeling dejected. Yes, picking myself up by my bootstraps, but looking for some candor here. Working here for 23 years, it’s like I imagine a divorce to be, feelings are up and down. I even miss the commute. Probably the routine, really.
How about you?

Proof layoff notices are going to go out at Nike soon

Portland Craigslist currently has a lot of Nike Appeal for sale postings. The craigslist posters state their Nike appeal, they want to sale is new or never worn. All the people at Nike who know they are going to get a layoff notice soon are looking for quick cash and unloading their stash of Nike appeal they have been swiping at work for years now.

I was laid off today

Their reason is performance. But I know, and I have evidence, it was in retaliation for reporting harassment.

Toxic work culture. Some of the people in middle management who have been at qualcomm for long feel like they own the company.

I already consulted a lawyer and he said we have a case.

I think it's BS that managers/directors DON'T know whos being let go. They absolutely know IMPO.

The writing is almost always on the wall for those who get let go - not always, but many times it is if you pay attention. Your normally heavy workload suddenly starts to dwindle while your coworkers are having more work dumped on them. You slowly stop getting invited to meetings, you slowly start losing access to places you normally had access to, your manager/director doesn't have a lot to say in 1x1's anymore, you begin to feel as if you are an "outcast." Maybe that lucrative account you've been on for the last year(s) was yanked away and you get put on smaller accounts that dont make as much money.

It's because they already know, or at the very least know you are a possibility of being laid off. There is no way that managers/directors DON'T know who is getting let go at least 2 months in advance, IMPO. I call BULLSHT that they only find out day of or a week before.

Logically it makes no sense to NOT inform a director/manager that one of your directs is being laid off because if they have no idea then what if they assign you a job/project that is important and in a time crunch, then they get 50% finished, then laid off? That person has no obligation to share anything that they did with their former teammates. They have no obligation to divulge any information on how to finish it, how to fix issues that may be happening, etc... Essentially, much of that project would have to be started from scratch.

If a person who is amazing at their job is to be let go and manager has no idea then, that puts them in a massive pickle as they now need to spend a month interviewing new people, hiring someone, then training, then getting them up to speed on a billion things.

The layoff "lists" are made months in advance as it has to go through HR, then legal, then eventually to admins who begin yanking privileges away, badge access to certain areas, etc...

How do bonus payouts work for layoffs in January

If you get laid off March through Dec, AFTER they paid you the bonus for the year before, HR will pay you a prorated amount of the bonus for the CURRENT year.

But people laid off in January or Februray, if your last working day is before the cutoff date (the date you have to be employed by to get your bonus for 2025), what happens then? Technically you are no longer employed at usb on 2/27/26 the cut off date.

DO they

  1. give you 100% of your target bonus from 2025 only (since there's nothing to prorate since 2025 is over)
  2. give you NOTHING for the whole year from 2025 and a small prorated bonus for 2026
  3. both of the above 1 and 2 combined

Ideally #3, but #1 would be ok also. But it better not be #2 because they would be f*d up.

If you think about it, if they lay you off in January and fk you over, you would have been paid more** if you were laid off late last year instead of early this year.

Anyone with an actual answer, not speculation peanut gallery, please reply. Thanks!
