Everybody should be preparing for potentially being let go. If you don't see the writing on the wall, I feel sorry for you.

How many layoffs can we expect as the result of the AkzoNobel merger? I know some are thinking this will not affect Axalta much but I'm worried. I don't know of many major mergers that were done without at least some cuts on both side, and usually it's much more than "some."

No one is answering any HR cases wondering if they have joined the Networks Strike or ignoring any queries. This will leave them open court cases if something isn't done soon, wonder why Jen Ragone got an award for poor delivery.

Since much of the maintenance on the network has been turned over to contractors, I wonder how much longer will VZW’s Field Assurance Engineers (aka cell tech’s) last before they are caught up in the next round of layoff’s? Lots of long term employees with little to do….

Should I worry about more layoffs this year? I'm thinking between Thanksgiving and Christmas, it'd be truly assholish of them to lay people off. Not that I wouldn't put it past them, but it'd come with some unwanted bad publicity. Am I too naive to think they care?

A lot of people have quietly started looking at options, just in case. It feels weird, like preparing for something we shouldn’t have to. Still, better to be ready than caught off guard when things shift.

Has anyone considered consulting an attorney? Not for wrongful termination. Just to review the numerous documents to make sure we're not getting sc--wed according to your state's laws.

The district has already laid off staff, including counselors and teachers, because of budget cuts. Students and community members are pushing back against the reductions.

There was a rumor about the 12/18 date for more Wellmed/Optum layoffs, but someone just received an in person meeting for 12/4 and they're concerned so I wanted to see if anyone had heard about anything happening then?

What was the deal today with that firm wide system outage between 12-1:00? Comms screens, Outlook, Zoom, Surpas all went down and rumors were saying cyber attack. It was down for over 45 minutes in my area. Not one email was sent out by the powers that be to keep us in the loop of what was broken and what ETA was. Very odd and not normal. Not sure if anyone else heard anything?

I got the call yesterday that my position was eliminated, but I haven't received and severance papers yet. My peers have received there papers. Is it because I'm out on STD?

Believe I read that we have/had 40 projects in the pipeline. Any idea of the status and if any have been implemented? Looked at the Verizon board yesterday and the blood bath was scary. Will those projects cause the same thing here or will we continue with the slower Chinese water torture.
