Not to sound like a person‘s paranoid… But as they say, if it’s true, you’re not paranoid: has anybody posted anything on this site and then found out and fired?

I was laid off a couple of month's ago.
Out of curiosity, I sent a test email to my old address to see what happened. There was no bounce back reply from the server.
Does that mean my mailbox is still active and someone like my old boss has control of it now?

can confirm that LR hit Meraki as well. not sure of scale. but at least one sr mgr I know just got slack profile deactivated. this could just be the start and more coming in the later waves.

I feel nauseous.

Today is a reminder that job cuts do not just happen to struggling employees or people doing the bare minimum. Some of the smartest and most respected people I know here were affected too, including people with years of experience and records most teams would want to keep. Not sure how this is supposed to benefit Cisco in the long run, but the leadership seems to think it will.

Am I the only one feeling that the NetIQ has terrible interface design and is terrible to use?

If so then I want to be paid for it. No cr-ppy AI company is allowed to use my voice, intimidation, or anything activated with me to train their cr-ppy bots.

The new head of strategy was supposed to retire after the Hess integration. Why didn’t he? Is it because we don’t have anyone else capable?

"With this, we are making changes today that will result in the reduction of our overall workforce in Q4 by fewer than 4,000 jobs, representing less than 5 percent of our total employee base."

Basically, he's saying it's just 4k jobs, no biggie. He doesn't give a damn that so many families are about to lose their livelihood. It's less than 5 percent, so it's all good. Just a small nuisance, nothing else.

If you were in a war zone, how would you feel about having your division head with you in a fox hole? I would have been happy to have certain previous division heads with me. Not my current one. Would anyone want to be with their current divsion head in a fox hole during a war?

I am about to be let go from a group that was supporting a mature, well-known product that should have been practically free money for Cisco. Instead, it was a source of constant agony for customers who suffered numerous outages, resulting in angry phone calls. What do you think people like this think when they read the news? Time to pick another vendor.

I feel bad for my fellow employees today, but I feel just as bad for customers who have unwisely entered into contracts for this bottom-feeding outsource chop-shop.

Is it a bad sign when the Man you work for does not want you to communicate with your teammates on M.S. teams?

I’m just guessing but it would make sense if the plan is so unpalatable to existing employees that the leadership cannot be open about it

Did an administrator pull the post? Or, one of the leaders that was called out? My concern is that OP, who was laid off last week, pulled the post out of fear of losing his/her severance.

The lack of major layoffs is for paramount employees. WB will be decimated. There are few jobs here that is not completely redundant at paramount. WB should have bought paramount not the other way around. To the victor belong the spoils.

Now that the finish line is getting closer, do we think this is true?

Let's be honest about what's happening at Humana. Constant turnover, good people leaving every month, reorgs that make everything worse, leadership saying one thing while we see something else entirely. Who can think this is a good way to run a company?

Can anyone corroborate a document I found which forecasts RIF beginning in Q4 through Q3 of next year? I don't want to give too many details but it was a full time employee forecast for one of the major support units. The decline began in Q4 with a few hundred RIFees each quarter and then a steep drop in Q3.

I recently transferred from GLA to WAL. What's the word on the street? It sounds like Tarrytown is in a very precarious situation. Seeing a lot of retirements in Walpole - are they forced early retirements? My friends still in Glasgow still work there but they don't seem to be a part of our huge 6% loss in diognostics

There are no jobs, economy is going under, the entire world is in a crisis... How is that a good time to lose your job?

Why all the security this morning at SP1?

He wasn't laid off, he was fired. Nobody seems to know why, and I honestly can't think of a single thing that could have caused it. He's (well, was) one of our hardest workers. Is this something we should now be scared of as well? Random firings for no good reason?

And instead of fixing things, they've created a workforce that doesn't care anymore. The failure is just getting worse.

How worried should I be about the coming days/weeks?

I don’t know what’s your sentiment about Cisco IQ, but it doesn’t seem to be a big success given the fact that CX has started an extensive action to make customer onboard to this.
