New Jersey Layoffs Surge, Reaching Recession-Era Totals
New Jersey experienced a significant increase in job cuts during January. Employers announced 1,980 layoffs, a 544 percent rise from January 2025. This surge mirrors national trends not seen since the Great Recession. Amazon accounted for 871 of New Jersey's January cuts. Experts indicate employers are less optimistic about the 2026 outlook.

Mike! Hint for you
The only way Fiserv can survive if it can go back to the George/Les/Jeff era - Respect employees! Fiserv has no employees. Most fired, rest shifted as an expense to Infinite, and Frank sold all his shares for $550M.
Think.,,,
What is up in Jacksonville- lots of security
What is going on in Jacksonville, more layoffs? Board on site?
Kyndryl - uh oh
IBM’s spinoff, Kyndryl, seems to be in a wee bit of trouble.
I was going to attach a link, but honestly, just Google it — there are plenty of articles out there.
It’s a company led by former IBM executives, operating with the same policies, technology stack, infrastructure, and culture.
Something is rotten. Will it infect the mothership?
No one wants to admit the real reason corporations are laying off thousands

Brace yourselves!
It will get ugly…
Being a psuedo-NTT employee
We may get our paychecks from NTT and have an NTT email address, but we're still the serfs or property of the 'Other company'. Nothing has changed for us, other than throwing a couple of NTT managers into the mix. The toxicity, gas-lighting and manipulation hasn't gone away, infact there is little more of it from the NTT side now.
Also it has become apparent that there are different variables or opportunities that come into play as compared to a real NTT employee. And that is we have none. Instead of being mentored or given the opportunities to further the paths of our own choosing. Obstacles are thrown in our way and under the table deals are forged to prevent one from pursuing anything other than what has been dictated or desired by those above us.
Should you voice your concerns or issues to a manager. Expect the repertoire of how everything is your fault and have your tried to find employment with another company.
If one could sum it up, it would be in the song 'Hotel California'.
IS IT TRUE
So is it true what I am hearing that if some people are giving there notice they are trying to convince them to stay , i hope that is not true you really can’t don’t that and i hope these people don’t listen. do what is best for you. think will this place will be in a year
No rumors about layoffs
Or at least, I haven't heard a thing. Somehow, that makes me even more worried. They've trained us well.
What's with all the severance scare?
Why are there so many rumors about reduced packages, or people not getting one at all? I haven't heard anything concrete. Is this just conjecture, or is there a real change coming?
What Get Me.....
Just like Frank ruined this company he is about to destroy the IRS and Social Security office. He doesn't see the destruction he has caused.
Guckheimer?
Why
Accenture Pinterest Contract
Given the current situation at Pinterest, is there a possibility they could cancel their contract with Accenture?
Any chance it will be done within a day?
Once layoffs start, are they usually completed the same day? This’ll be my first layoff since I joined, and I’m more stressed than I’ve ever been. I’m worried one of the criteria will be last in, first out, which means I’m probably gone. I don’t think I can handle this dragging on for more than a day once it starts.
Senior Management is Living in a Bubble
Lofthouse came to Toronto and his biggest concern was not being able to shop from whole foods. Here people are loosing their livelihood and his concern is luxury shopping shopping. What is wrong with this people?
is Dan going to do anything about offshore CS?
How are we going to 'delight the customer' if our customer service is horrible?
What are we spending our bonus on?
IRA? Credit card debt? Xanax?
Bill’s message about AI
We “must” all lean into AI and it’s now a “core leadership competency.”
Honestly I’m more upset about AI being forced down our throats than about RTO. Anyone else?
layoff all PE and Sr.PE
What exactly do they do ???? outside of milking $$
Edward Jones - the new Cr--ker Barrell or Target?
Legit question 🤔 considering all these changes that are harming a once strong and proud company.
Something is fishy
How can someone like Tracy K sc--ws up big time and stay? Doesn’t make any sense.
New head of strategy
More bad news for worker bees- new head of enterprise strategy. He is from chase & McKinsey. Nothing good will come out if this addition plus our current cohort of d-grade leaders.
Did I Strike a Nerve
I had comment deleted from the Bartlesville layoff thread. In my posted I discussed how I thought Go-Go and Tractor Man likely feel about layoffs.
I guess I struck a nerve with someone because it’s been deleted.
It was up for ~24 hours before being deleted so quite a few people got to see it.
Project Omni
So Kyndryl very secretively initiated Project Omni to displace US workers with ones in low cost countries like India. Someone got a whiff of it, and the project was shutdown. The resources hired/shortlisted for Omni are now being accommodated to other projects where the demand is.
Another day at Kyndryl…
How is Ireland looking
I havent heard anything happening in Ireland, any news? I see lots of OU's been hit today. Scary times ahead.
One Way training non-existent
It's late already. What are the odds on May start date actually happening in May?!
Another round of layoffs
Had a 1:1 with my manager and was given a heads-up about another round of layoffs.
Money coming doesn't look very good, so Intel has to do more with less.
My manager doesn't know many details except that it's coming. Too low in the chain to be privileged with more details.
How are things looking in Finance
Any layoffs in finance coming up?
Davos? Davos?
We ain’t got time for Davos, we are trying to not get ran over in the streets and put groceries on the table. Get real with your people you (ur)slurper.
Do post-mass JE fires get severance?
Do “regular” one off job eliminations get offered severance? Worried superfluous PIPs and bogus fires will start next. Our org says we’re done but it sure doesn’t feel like it
How are they notifying people?
For those who got the layoff news: how did it come? Was it a sudden calendar invite for a one-on-one, or an email, or something else?
Trying to know what to watch for.
Woke up to secure access removed
What does this mean? I now can’t access secure from sparq. No meeting invite yet so am I cooked?
Just watched our CFO speak, and uhh…
Guys? I’m worried our leaders might be stupid.
Will Centralized Services be mostly safe?
That's what I'm hearing about the restructuring and layoffs next week. Can anyone confirm?
Can we lay off the entire C-suite?
I don't think there's much to lose and there's certainly plenty to gain.
Uh Oh... Are they on it?
With the release of the E files, ya'll know, I'm not about to type any more details than that...
I have to ask. Has anyone searched through our current BoD? Leadership Chain? Or priors who've left? I think we would all love to know the company is at least clean of that... if not much else.
