When it says “the company will subsidize your cobra premium” does that mean they will be paying the whole premium on our behalf or just a portion of what we would be responsible for? I don’t know if I’m just misunderstanding or if they are being intentionally vague.

@eh I would like to know also. I feel like you would be able to opt out.
Kinda sounds like you could get that info from the VSP site.
@eh You will need to sign up for COBRA. I am assuming it will be similar to a LOA. You set up an account and the payment comes out every twos from your bank. The seperation pkg. should state how long we have to decide on COBRA I have 12 years and have accepted. Just not willing to take the risk and wait to see what happens. Wishing everyone the best.
@a1 what if you don’t want to pay for any insurance? Is that automatically going to be deducted or do we have to sign up?
Yes, it’s an eligible reason as a life event.
Does anyone know after the cobra subsidy if we decide to not continue is that an eligible reason to go on a spouses insurance? I would think so but not 100% sure.
You will pay your normal paycheck deduction for health insurance and the company picks up the rest of the COBRA payment.
