Just hearing R&D are considering Layoffs in EMEA Region. Has anyone heard similar? New EMEA R&D lead not happy with duplication of teams and roles???

So we’re considered a mega center under the mobility purple contract and we’re locked in at almost $39 an hour and there’s only about 60 of us right now and we won’t ever have people on our title anymore per our union. We all work 5 days in office. We’ve been doing mass hirings for almost 2 years and these new reps are also service reps but they have a hybrid title at the end of their name and get about $21 an hour plus commission and they’re a mix of English and bilingual. At the end of the day we all take the same calls, have the same center manager, report to the same floor/building but there’s over 100 of the hybrid reps. Can they get rid of us since we’re getting paid more and not having to meet numbers to get commission? It’s been like this for 2 years but there have been rumors that they can remove us and keep the reps that are hybrid. How can they get away with that if it’s true?

Is there any legitimacy to these rumors? I need flexibility to for my work/life balance and going into the office 5 days a week will make that extremely difficult.

10% this year company wide. 5% in June and 5% in October to stay below the warn notice. Next year gets even better at 15%. Have fun everybody!

Somebody asked me if I had heard of any layoffs coming in June yesterday. Since I haven't seen anything posted here I think the answer is no? Has anyone heard anything?

Is this true? Nobody I know has gotten one. They are usually sent out the day before or the day of.

Any IT people here who can run a quick compare on number of people in the email directory before and after the cuts? I see number of posts claiming different numbers, execs are silent, instead of spreading rumors maybe we can try to figure out the real number. No, you may argue that the number is internal, but since you can legitimately buy (ZoomInfo, SalesGenie, RocketReach, Lusha, etc.) the entire email roster of pretty much any large US company this argument would not stand ground.

What will happen June 29th? Any rumors or theories on the organization changes planned? Very little has happened so far. Is this the breather before the plunge?

The real issue moving forward is RTO less flexibility. How will we be punished if we can’t make it in due to extraneous circumstances?

Be bold and if Dan requires customers to be his first priority then give employment to his beloved customers and run this company with customers and remove all employees ( Onshore and offshore)

This is a bold statement by the Medtronic spokesman.

A Medtronic spokesman declined to confirm any layoffs, saying in an email that he would not comment on “rumors of staffing changes.”
He added that the company’s hiring in recent years has outpaced any reductions — especially in the United States.
“What I will point out is that as Medtronic sharpens its focus on high-opportunity, high-growth areas, we’re making thoughtful decisions about where to invest,” spokesman Justin Paquette said in an email.”

Any guesses on total headcount reductions?

I read on teamblind reports that another former Apple Cobbler Senior Manager left the Skunk works. By the sound of it they were axed not voluntarily left on their own and no replacement announced sounds like corp. restructuring. DF was the first domino, wishing my CA colleagues the best.
