Thread regarding Bank of New York Mellon Corp. layoffs

they are at least a 6th of the cost of a US person; the gap is even wider if compared to high cost centers.

Never going to happen, definitely NOT onshoring.

They could maybe close Chennai and expand Pune, or move to another low cost center, but there are zero rumors or truth to that also. India is already at capacity (space) in places, so closing one to make it worse elsewhere is pure fiction, or in this case maybe click-bait.

@aa fair would be getting rid of the foreigners who cant speak well or do anything and focusing on americans since its an American company. That would be fair

Not unless there is a BNY location called Chennai in NY, NJ, MA or PA

Honestly. There is no such rumor. Are you that desperate for attention?

Bank of Pune would definitely benefit from more direct EC leadership involvement. Offshoring EC positions would save BK shareholders hundreds of millions of dollars if you add up the total compensation of all EC members! Consider RV’s compensation could be reduced from $83.5 million in 2025 (based on proxy statement results) to roughly one tenth this amount! This would be a win-win. What’s fair is fair!
