Can my last day of work be on a Saturday?

If I don’t get laid off tomorrow (Tuesday 2/3) I will resign on bonus payout day 2/13. I have another job lined up but they are very flexible on start day. I need to give 30 days notice at WF, can my last day of work be Saturday 3/14? Or do I need to work until Monday 3/16?

It’s unlikely that I’ll be laid off tomorrow unfortunately.

Submitting two weeks notice before bonus payout- can they withhold my payout?

Planning on submitting two weeks notice on the 19th, which would mark my last day sometime in March, after bonus gets paid out. Assuming I don’t get let go immediately and work until my last day in March, would I still be paid out my bonus or is it possible that it wouldn’t get paid out? I don’t think they would let me go immediately due to KT sessions, but wasn’t sure how it would work

Inconsistently Meets

I got Inconsistently Meets at my most recent performance review.

Can I expect to get fired for cause within the next few days/weeks? Laid off at the next round? Or can I expect a few months to fix this?

Will my manager mark the "do not rehire" box if I am fired for cause? I had meets/exceeds until now, and had a good working relationship with my manager until now. I don't know if that helps.

Should I resign before I'm fired? I have years of savings, and I want to avoid the "do not rehire" box more than I need unemployment, since I assume it shows up on any reference. I can get good references from former managers and coworkers no longer with WF, but I still want a good reference from the company.

Thanks.

Resignation no notice

Has quitting without notice at Truist become the new normal? In my group, several people have recently left the same day they resigned—no two-week notice, no transition period. That used to be the standard, but it seems like a lot of folks here are walking out on the spot. Is anyone else seeing this happen?

Has anyone on your team quit since RTO?

Generally curious if people have peaced out since RTO. I know of one person who gave notice after a week back in office. I’m guessing a number of people thought they would be let to in the last round but survived. I can definitely see more people leaving after bonuses are distributed.

Handed in my notice today

Just turned in my resignation. I'll really miss the team, all of them are great people. This company itself is a completely different story, though. For anyone else feeling stuck, there are better options out there if you are persistent in looking. Wishing you all the best going forward.

Letter received - here the option

1) If you say NO. Will submit before March 4.

They will hold you until 6mos just like what they did to the CSO folks. Basically, they do nothing getting paid. Wait until you get released so you can get the severance and can file unemployment to the state as you are marked being surplussed.

If you accepted a new job in between 6mos. That is consider a resignation.

2) if you say YES and no plan to drive on the new location - you will get terminated. State unemployment will not be an option.

My main reason for leaving BNY

I left the company not long ago, and it was completely my choice. The deciding factor for me was management. It wasn't just my direct manager, the problems with poor performance and a total lack of clear direction went up at least three levels above me. When leadership at that many levels is ineffective, there's just no future in staying. I saw the writing on the wall.

I'm going to resign next week

The holiday break gave time for me to see how really bad it can be working at Boeing. I worked in three different Boeing groups last year and the common denominator was toxic.
Nobody in any of these groups I worked in, seemed happy to work at Boeing. There was zero trust among co-workers in all these groups. The older guys always had a target on their backs. Lots of people rather see others fail, thinking it benefitted them.
So, I'm putting in my one week notice on Monday.

For those who quit, what was your final two weeks like?

I'm getting closer to landing a new job and I'm curious about the exit process. Did you give the standard two-week notice, and what did that period involve? I’m mostly interested in what the company required you to do during that time, like any handover tasks, exit interviews, or system access changes.

management is delusional

my point has gone so far down hill.we have half the carmen we're slotted for.senior guys have decided to resign rather than put up with the neverending piles of b.s.younger folks have quit because they see no future hear.most days yard repairs are down because we have a conscious and don't want guff for trains going out late.it seems like an injury is bound happen.but for now the trains aren't going out late so whats the issue?

A great offer came my way, but I just started my current job

I've only been here for a few months, and a fantastic opportunity at another firm just landed in my lap. With this job market, I know how lucky I am, especially since this is a role I've wanted for years. While my current job is fine, it doesn't compare to this new offer. How bad would it look if I left so soon after joining? Especially long-term on my resume?

I've officially decided to leave

I'm putting in my resignation on Monday because this just isn't the right place for me anymore. I've watched the direction change, and I don't see a future for myself here. Add to that the toll the toxicity is taking on my mental health and I've had enough. I'm going to take some time to figure out my next step. Luckily, I have enough savings to be able to do this. Best of luck to everyone.

Existential Anxiety

I have been with Nike for a bit longer than 2 years. If I recall correctly, the rolling layoffs started just 3 months after I arrived at Nike! Since then, I have lost so many senior colleagues including a 10-year veteran , 18-year veteran and some one with 8 years at Nike. A handful of them also resigned.... I am constantly worried for my job security and if I have a job tomorrow. I am breadwinner with a mortgage....I don't know how much I could keep it together

Left after 10 years

After 10 years with UHC I finally called it quits over a month ago. It's been the most relieving feeling I have ever felt, seriously no lie! The constant changes, being chastised by a big headed manager who did not take accountability for her own faults, and exceeding expectations on MAP review but never reaping the benefits from it. The job that I am at now I make 1.20 less an hour but still make more, make it make sense...where was all my money going. Also my health insurance is so much cheaper and better, I never understood that? Run don't walk if you can, find something that works better for you and your family and also better for you financially.
