Infighting between employees benefits the executive board

SAP has money for share buybacks but no money for giving employees salary increments and benefits. SAP has money to increase executive board bonuses but no money for giving employees salary increments and benefits. SAP has money to invest in AI products that have no future but no money for giving employees salary increments and benefits.

In addition, Joule and other AI slop added to flagship products do not have a good adoption rate. Customers are not willing to pay a premium price for AI features that are unnecessary or downright bad and only increase costs. So they will look at alternatives for one or more products within the SAP ecosystem.

And every single discussion regarding these exact points is derailed by unsavory comments. I sincerely believe that SAP does not need any layoffs but they are doing so simply to instill fear and use this as a bargaining chip to pay less money to employees while the executive board maximize their bonuses. Every good comment here is followed by some bad ones that force the topic to be derailed.

And the only way to fix this is to highlight the real reasons why Dominic Asam, Christian Klein and others want layoffs.

We need to stop the infighting. Because the only people benefiting from this are the executive board and highly paid area heads and VPs and managers who don't add value but have very high salaries. And the losers are ALL SAP EMPLOYEES if we keep fighting between ourselves.

On that note, can someone please share more details about the reorganizations in 2026 Q1? And if there are any more details about any potential 2026 layoffs.

The guard is changing.. finally.!

With BS out, another org shake-up to cut spans and layers is unavoidable. A wave of senior exits is being politely labeled retirement, but it’s really a reset.

And while leadership churns, IDC’s forecast is inflating expectations.. numbers will spike whether execution is ready or not.

Less patience. Less cover. Bigger pressure.
The next phase won’t reward tenure.. it will expose performance.

Every reorg, without fail, leads to worse outcomes

I have yet to experience a reorg or set of cuts that actually resulted in leaner, more efficient teams. The bloat always seems to stay, critical roles disappear as a rule, and the workload ends up being distributed in ways that make even less sense. If they are planning a major reorg now, I dread what things will look like on the other side of it.

Info on reorgs?

I know it can be a stressful time with all the changes happening with Medicare and Medicaid at the end of the month. I've been hearing some concerns about potential reorganizations, and I understand how unsettling that can be. If anyone has any insights on which areas might be affected and when, it would be really helpful to share that information. We're all in this together, and any guidance would be appreciated.

Sales Re-Org & Consolidation - Get Your Resumes Ready

Looking into 2026, there is alot of chatter around yet another sales reorganization, one that is more aggressive and drastic than any we have seen in prior years. Look back at the investments that have been made in both New Brunswick inside sales in addition to the Texas based inside sales offices - neither are by accident.
I've heard a few different "values", but what's consistent is the message that more customer relationships will be moving to both the Canada and Texas inside teams, with only customers billing in excess of $75,000 annually ($6,000 monthly) staying in the field.
I don't have specific insight into what this means regarding manpower , but common sense would quickly say that there is a large reduction coming into the sales organization - reps, managers, and specialists.

Is anyone else hearing anything more on this topic?

This year was exceptionally depressing

I was among the lucky few who actually had a great team. A few a--holes here and there, but otherwise solid, reliable colleagues. Somehow, we managed to overcome management’s shortcomings, make our tasks easier, and even have fun, or at least feel a sense of accomplishment. Yes, it was a cosmic accident, but it happened. I actually liked my work because of it.

Then the reorg came and destroyed the team. A few exceptionally competent and experienced teammates were let go, some were reassigned, and now my team is hollow and definitely less efficient and productive. The inability to recognize an excellent team says everything you need to know about leadership and management. I can only imagine the end result of reorg.

IRS moves 1,000 IT employees out of its tech shop

The IRS is moving about 1,000 IT employees out of its tech shop, as part of a reorganization plan that’s been underway for months.

Impacted employees say they have few details about what work they’ll be doing, and have been told by the agency to instead “focus on completing an orderly transition of your current work.” The notice they received last week states that they will no longer be working on IRS IT projects.

Toxic reorg!

Worst reorg ever!
2 weeks in and no all clear, no conference calls letting you know what's happening. 4 cryptic emails that made about as much sense as Athina getting promoted. No maps of the new structure, just some covert calls letting some people see the details, HR controlling the invitee list. The names of those we lost trickle out slowly usually by a full mailbox on Outlook or an extended vacation status. No relief to the stress caused by uncertainty, rumors already flying about Februarys next slash job. Dead weight is still employed good people let go a dozen days before Christmas! Lopsided top tier brass still clueless, off shoring still in play, cr-ppy raise and bonus is your reward for another year of trying to stay afloat!

Winning! Another reorg

Vteamers - we are winning! The same leadership team that’s been around for decades and was key to our current market position is energized and excited to bring you another reorg! We look forward to continued chaos and lack of accountability (key hallmarks of nonstop reorgs) to lead us into the future. So fill out those pulse surveys and get in your volunteer hours because it’s the only thing we actually track. We love you, vteam!

Jingle Shell, Jingle Shell

My hope for 2026 is that Shell finally sticks with a reorg and gives it proper time to play out. No more knee-je-k layoffs and asset sales every 6-12 months. If you have to change course that often you don’t know what you’re doing.
Could also work on staff appreciation and driving the share price up but I won’t hope for that much.

Reorg and more work

Every time we go thru these reorganization of markets and job, All they do is run lean and assign more work to their employees who are already overworked, stretched thin and under paid. They never give any more compensation for the extra work and when you call the speak up line, nothing ever gets done. What a joke this company has turned into. You want to cut the fat, Cut all the fat from Ram Krishnan and his entourage who spent hundreds of thousands dollars travel the world like he is running for president. He has done absolutely nothing good for the company!!!! I can think of past leaders who didn’t travel and had a bigger impact than this joker. We have to many layers of management in the facilities and nobody holds ANYBODY accountable. Cut the extra layers and have plant directors who hold people accountable and maybe we can get this company back to number one. Maybe if they actually talked to real people in The round table meetings and not their staged puppets, they would get real talk with real issues in the facilities. This used to be a great company and people carried but now it is a joke and we come just for a paycheck. Turn it around, get employee involvement and get us to actually care again and we can make it great.

Re-org at Strategy & Transformation. Head of UX Design dismissed!

Head of UX Design at Strategy & Transformation was dismissed this week. Role terminated immediately. He clearly won’t be missed considering his reputation and poor legacy. What other senior roles at S&T were impacted this week?

Someone forgot their ethics training

"Three people familiar with the reorganization said the unit's investment committee was reduced to two members: Tan, and Intel's Chief Financial Officer, David Zinsner"

"Two employees familiar with the matter said some within Intel felt pressure to consider portfolio companies where Tan had an interest to align with his strategic priorities."
