Job postings
So, since around Dan's epic 3Q webcast (where he actually didn't even discuss 3Q), the only positions posted have been retail, and maybe just a couple random others.
I realize there's a freeze and likely the reason, but I'm still surprised to see they've stopped posting for our international territories, also
The other thing is some people here are talking about retail getting axed, but given there's about 20 retail job postings each day, I think that's pretty far off.
Thoughts?
IBM Ottawa
Ottawa 50% gutted.
There were only about 450 at Riverside, now 196 fewer remaining.
More cost cuts on the way - reported 4 November
BP has said it will ramp up efforts to hive off parts of the business, as the energy company reported a drop in profits in its latest quarter.
The company reported an underlying profit of $2.2bn (£1.7bn) in the three months ended in September. It marked a slowdown against its previous quarter, when it made a profit of $2.4bn, but beat analyst expectations of $1.98bn.
Its chief executive, Murray Auchincloss, who is under pressure from shareholders to reverse years of underperformance by moving away from renewable projects and increasing investments in oil and gas, said BP would push to sell off parts of the business faster.
“We are looking to accelerate delivery of our plans, including undertaking a thorough review of our portfolio to drive simplification and targeting further improvements in cost performance and efficiency,” he said.
Auchincloss, who has vowed to sell off $20bn of assets by the end of 2027, added that he expected the company would have sold or announced the sale of $5bn worth by the end of the year.
BP’s new chair, Albert Manifold, told staff on his first day in the job last month that the company needed to accelerate a plan to cut costs and sell assets.
BP has already managed to agree to sell its US onshore wind business to LS Power, as well as a deal to offload its Dutch retail fuel sites and its electric vehicle charging hubs.
This week, BP also agreed to sell its stakes in US shale assets for $1.5bn, including four Permian central processing facilities: Gand Slam, Bingo, Checkmate and Crossroads.
However, BP did not provide an update on the sale of its multibillion-dollar Castrol lubricants unit, which will be a central part of its plan to raise at least $20bn by 2027.
The company is under pressure from Elliott Management, the activist New York hedge fund that is known for its attempts to shake up listed companies. It has built up a stake in BP and has been pushing the company to cut costs.

Major Reorg coming, C-Suite working through 10% workforce cuts.
Brace yourselves, its imminent and before the end of the year.
Customer facing = Safe
This is just my view.
Customer facing roles = Safe
Operational / Back office / Marketing = Not
Mid-Level Reporting / Your job can easily be automated = Not
Band 6 and above (5 to C-Wing) = Nope
Not safe means up to 25-40% reduction.
16 more days and we will know.
Thousands layoffs announced from IBM
Job market keeps getting tougher with series of layoffs announcement.
Latest is IBM…

Hubspot laid several off today
Mostly impacted middle management in marketing and engineering. However, some teams are entirely gone and being merged into different units. This has been going on in smaller batches throughout the year, but this is one of the first times leadership kind of addressed it. Coincided with Q3 earnings call, unsure whether c-suite discussed with investors.
Request for Manager Feedback from a VP?
Anyone else ever receive a request for feedback about their Manager/Director from the VP of the chain of command? I received a request but no one else on my team received one. Wondering if this is a screening for them or for me ahead of the rumored January layoffs?

Tech layoffs
Some DPAIO folks are gone as of today. At least one VP and one SVP included. Is this part of a larger RIF this week?
Did somebody say AI was taking jobs....???
I remember about a year ago on this platform someone posted that AI would be taking jobs away from employees. Boy, was there a pushback on this point.
Many of the posts and reactions were never in a million years would AI be taking anybody's job.
Well maybe some of those in a state of denial can contact any one of the 4000 employees at Salesforce who got displaced to see what they have to say about it.
https://www.cnbc.com/2025/09/02/salesforce-ceo-confirms-4000-layoffs-because-i-need-less-heads-with-ai.html
The worst move we can make is to stick our heads in the sand and kid ourselves that we are so vital, nothing can take our jobs. The much better move would be to be in the group that "figures out how we can use AI to make our positions more valuable".
AI won't be replacing jobs that use AI but rather it will be replacing jobs that DONT use AI.
In the meantime here a sampling of just a few of the companies who already deployed AI to the detriment of employees in 2025 - the wave is coming.
By 2030..... well for those who continue to be deniers, you won't recognize how much the workforce has changed in just 5 years - things will change in the blink of an eye.... please get yourselves ready for what is to come

The race to offshore America!
Job offshoring in the country is gaining momentum at an unprecedented pace. Major companies are making headlines that show it’s no longer confined to lower-level positions — middle and upper management roles are now being transferred to India as well. A striking irony: those who once designed and championed the offshoring strategy may soon find themselves among its casualties. (Some may feel gleeful at that thought.)
How do you stop it? A lot would need to change, but one thing is certain, the leadership that implements this will go down in history as saving society.
Inside Sales Team Terrible Leadership
The Inside team is full of terrible leadership. If you enjoy low morale, harassment, and being talked to like a dog, apply today! High turnover, low pay, the typical CCI way! The new CEO has his work cut out for him!
How long will the layoffs last?
I heard it could go on for at least ten more days. No other details, though. And there are so many rumors flying around, it’s hard to tell which ones make any sense.
Hormel Foods Announces Corporate Restructuring, 250 Office Layoffs
Hormel Foods Corp. is undertaking a corporate restructuring that should result in the reduction of approximately 250 corporate and sales positions, hopefully through a voluntary early retirement program.

LIES
This group is closer to penny wize, dollar foolish than most. Here's why. Remember all the times BH mentioned de-layering and reducing decision making authority? The exact opposite is true. I know this as I look at the list of job grades of those recently axed. Nothing higher than manager and overall average job grade let go is 9. At the same time we (they) mint more VP's. The consistent and frequent additions to the "C" suite ONLY increases beaurocrocy, time and effort to approve low $, low risk investments. Lastly, the severance for these folks was drastically REDUCED compared to previous January layoff. The thing about boiling frogs is, they all end up cooked. Demand leaders with integrity, not these imposters.
Layoffs every Tuesday?
Some coworkers I worked with every now and then were just let go yesterday. Are they doing layoffs every Tuesday now??

Timber! Goes Centene stock price
The company absolutely went down hill after Michael F. Neidorff died. The executives decided to save a little money and offshore to the Philippines. Guess what Centene. Americans don't like talking to foreigners.! We get sc--wed on jobs from H1B's and the companies offshore jobs elsewhere. it cost you your Medicare business and stock price.
SteveB: the unfiltered reality check
This isn’t rumor, emotion, or gossip.
This is what the company itself has said, plus the math that follows from it.
No fluff. No slogans. Just reality.
Where Xerox actually is:
Q3 cash generation did not cover costs; free cash flow driven by working-capital timing, not profits.
Legacy business declining on a like-for-like basis.
GAAP gross margin is 22%, very thin to support debt, restructuring, investment, and dividends.
Significant debt added to fund acquisitions.
Leadership has stated we do not have 2 years to fix this.
Workforce reductions confirmed to continue into 2025–2026.
Integration urgency now tied directly to SURVIVAL narrative.
Merit / raises tied to profit (uncertain to say the least).
Strategy locked: no pivot planned, only “execute faster”.
This is a turnaround under time pressure, not a routine quarter.
What has been signaled:
The model is right, execution has failed!
The company will run out of runway without faster performance!
More layoffs are expected!
Every function and region expected to “do more with less”!
Employees told to stop prioritizing personal situations and put the company first!
Execution failures = leadership changes!
The bets are already placed. No turning back. Sink or swim on execution.
Employee reality:
Job security is performance- and speed-dependent.
Raises contingent on profitability, not guaranteed.
Higher workloads, fewer resources.
Culture shifted from “corporate career” to “survival, sprint, sacrifice”.
Clear message: contribute at full speed or self-select out.
What happens next? Likely 12–18 month environment:
Continued restructuring & RIFs
Ongoing cost compression
Integration friction + tech platform migration
Talent drain and forced performance pressure
Narrow focus: cash, margin, execution speed
Best case? Turnaround works, company stabilizes, slow growth returns.
Middle case? Extended grind — layoffs, morale erosion, cash tightness.
Worst case? cash performance fails... strategic alternatives come to play (asset sales / debt restructuring / Private Equity involvement).
All are standard outcomes in leveraged turnarounds; which one we hit depends on speed, cost takeout, and execution.
Bottom line:
Xerox is no longer operating in “business as usual”.
This is SteveB's plan A: execution speed vs. cash runway.
There is no plan B. And plan A must work quickly.
Everything else — morale, culture, careers — is secondary to operational survival right now.
Wartime rules are in effect. Everyone just heard it live.
The mood shift, the urgency, the tone, the pressure... all real.
This is what corporate in distress looks like when management says it out loud.
Now you know.
Running for the low hanging fruit
Nothing seems to have a good captaincy anymore. Sailors are shaking the boat. In Visa domain knowledge and love for systems is not rewarded anymore. New direction is looking at easy points. Share prices stumbling. Old people are let go. Maybe if there's any small indication, it is right time to part.
GTO to face 30% stateside reduction
Leaders have started meetings this week to address cutting resources, mostly onshore, before eoy to meet 2026 budget and mgcc staffing commitments.
On a similar topic, there continues to be odd conversations about consolidating into a single Cary building which would only be accomplished by more cuts and offshoring.
The future doesn’t look very good for those stateside.
Reorg / layoffs / VRPs
Orlando plant closure is the start. What’s the next step?
Q4 will be worse
Layoffs will be bigger than the 15% wave a year ago. The goodwill write down will be in excess of 1 billion, and that will lower the EV and push Debt to Equity to over 1000%. Access to debt markets will effectively cease, and vendors that aren't getting paid in a timely fashion will Dun XRX. Also, the fact that the patent sale hasn't produced any dollar amounts, or hype from SB, means it is probably a terrible deal. Those patents are part of the EV of XRX and will further degrade the value of the company on the next call.
"With this in mind, cuts between one and five percent would equate to anywhere from 2,700 to over 13,500 on the higher end of the scale."

Interviewing Belk Employees
We are interviewing at least 3 current Belk planners and buyers at my new company and that's just for open positions on my team hahhahahaaha.
They are losing so much talent and I am here for it. FAFO
Mid Markets getting the boot
Per internal docs it appears that the entire mid market channel (from VP down) will be eliminated due to poor business practices. SMB directors and their teams will be assuming mid market roles and territories. Retail store GMs will be dissolved and stores with low door swings will be closed. This is expected to be announced 11/17-11/21.
11/5/25 Townhall Reactions
This merger is really making me think about who bought who? So far looks like a lot of Xerox folks got cut in favor of Lex and their processes. I guess that’s the big solution? As always, it’s just rearranging chairs on the deck of the Titanic.
Fridays security deadline
Never seen such a clear excuse to use to cut people who arent aware of not being in compliance
So layoffs or no?
Unclear if it’ll happen this year since on the ML town hall, he said no but shareholders like to see people’s livelihoods go away so may happen. What do yall think?
Also some audit is going on where they are moving people under one or two people back to the top layer. Why would they be doing that? Flattening the org so to speak.
We're All Sc--wed
A lot of verified assessing and head hunting at the top for 2026 as we end 2025. A big big profit year is needed as Wilson bids farewell and takes his millions and millions of unearned capital with him and sets the stage for his heir apparent in 2026.
A lot of restructuring coming, a lot of combining and aligning of areas happening, a lot of movement of additional services to vendors and overseas, implementation of the incomplete and flawed AI too early, and reductions in force are a certainty as we head into the first half of 2026.
Get your fe--s consolidated and be ready for what is coming.
Market Presidents given the boot
MPs were the first to go this week. Maybe this means no more markets??
