Pack your bags

You’ ve been monitored every minute in office and every key stroke that you type. Writing is on the wall. Not your fault. This is simple math - the company has more than what it can chew. Layoffs will continue through out 2026. Doesnt matter what rating you got. Exceeds rating and promotions mean cr-p as it is relative. Time to upskill and time to work on your resume. Start looking around for a job. Dont wait to be layed off - your severance will not be big anymore - trust me its an exec here. Get out as a hero at your will once you find an opportunity elsewhere.

Laying off Canadians while bringing foreigners to replace

Makes sense right? Indians, Malaysians, and mo----------g Americans. Expats and temporary. I bet their visa application indicates “specialized” roles no one in the company can perform. No sh•t, the company laid them off to maximize money laundering and siphoning billing to overseas.

Rationally, I know I should want to survive the coming layoffs

It's brutally hard to find another job. I've been trying for a while and can attest to that. With most of us constantly on the brink of financial ruin and costs only rising, the fear is real. But this time, I'm not anxious about losing my job. I'm just exhausted and completely burnt out. It's probably time to move on, and if they cut the cord, it would almost make it easier.

Last week was brutal

And with such a bad outlook, who can guarantee the rest of us are "safe" until the second half of February? I’m so sorry for the people affected last week, and I expect many of us will soon join that army of the unemployed. This has been really tough on all of us, and there’s no end in sight. These days, coming into work just feels like sitting in a waiting room for your own layoff.

Platform X ghost

I see that ex boss of platform X is still in the company after catastrophic failure of her product. At the same time, 200 of hard working people from PX build team were fired. The captain should go down with the ship, but this rat escaped first and now attending conferences across the globe to sell thin air.

every. single. year.

pepsico lays off every year. every. dang. year. at some point they’ll have to cut the overlaid matrix orgs — especially any group with “global” in the name. but this probably isn’t that year. there are still plenty of white-collar u.s. jobs that can be cut and re-assigned to india and mexico.

pepsico is dangerously close to a real brain drain in the american market. most analysts and lower-level management are now abroad — and, frankly, wholly inept — which means there’s no street-level understanding of the u.s. market. you could definately blame christy jacoby and brent crombie for that mess, whether they’ll ever recieve accountability or not.

What do you think are the main reasons?

There seem to be layoffs spreading across the financial services.... especially asset management and custody space (State Street, Fidelity, BlackRock, Vanguard, Schwab, Citi, Morgan Stanley). I’m curious whether this is mostly cyclical or tied to longer-term structural shifts. What do you think are the main reasons?

Teton Valley Health Care Cuts Staff, Closes Infusion Clinic (Driggs, Idaho)

Teton Valley Health Care laid off 26 employees and will close its infusion clinic. The critical access hospital faces significant financial losses due to Medicaid cuts and reduced patient volumes. The infusion clinic provides vital, often life-saving, care for many patients. High-cost medications are not reimbursed for 12 months, creating cash flow problems. TVHC is actively seeking long-term solutions, including potential partnerships with larger health systems.

Marketing Layoffs

Just heard about the reductions over in Marketing. They sent out a new org chart, which I got to see just now. They are getting rid of a lot of senior manager and up, and are expanding offshore support. Anywhere I’ve ever worked that started relying heavily on offshore, has paid the price eventually. If you work at TIAA and are getting a high salary, be very wary. Any of us could be next. Luckily, I’m underpaid for my role so they’ll keep my indentured servitude around for a little longer I bet.

Be magenta!

Does anyone even buy anything on Be Magenta!? Like what’s the point? For one, everything is expensive, also, why would I want to buy any T-Mobile related merch and get lay off the next day. What? Use my $80 T-Mobile hoody as a pijama and make myself feel worse by looking at the logo of the company who didn’t care about me?

Suspended due to non pay

I work in inside sales, the amount of calls I get from people being suspended due to non pay is at an unprecedented amount. It’s totally unreal.

Couple with the current market being one of the worst sales markets in the last 25 years. They still expect us to exceed quota when literally nobody has any money and everyone’s phones are being shut uff lol.
