Sadly many people I thought were a friend fail to stay in contact or even attempt to maintain any links or connection once transferred. If you aren’t useful to them they have no time for you.

Am I imagining things or did the ponds in campus used to have fountains? There was a breeze the other day and the pond was smelling aweful. Did they turn the aeration off to try save some money?

It seems every bathroom I visit has a broken sink or toilet. My personal favorite is the toilet that has not stopped flushing for weeks. I wonder how many gallons of water it has used.

With headcount reduction ongoing if you dropped this year then don’t plan on anything improving going forward. The question is how quickly will you reach NSI?

What CL are principal engineers? Are they the highest spot on technical side other than chief? What CL is chief? Do principals and chiefs rank well?

I am resigning to work at another company that is in our industry but much smaller. Will they walk me out as soon as I resign? If so I don’t want to give two weeks notice.

We have gone so hard on the Guyana model while also cutting staff that we have totally lost the ability to operate. They like it so much that it is only a matter of time before they apply the model to downstream sites and Permian..

Are executives making stupid comments and decisions? Look no further than their bonus KPIs. They will do asinine things to game the KPIs and get their bonus. Disgusting.

Has anyone actually met a very competent BTC Technical Employee? Someone really good at what they do and can actually compete with an above average US employee? Why would such a person work for 15% of the US pay?
