What does it mean? For c and a side?
Who is taking the voluntary retirement package?
I’m taking the early retirement deal and am curious how many other people are. I’m 56 with 18 years of service and I figure I should take the money while it’s being offered. Things are only going to get worse for those still at Cigna and this way... — read more
When is the next layoff/early retirement offer?
Is there another set layoff date anytime soon? When are the 55+ people who accepted the package leaving? Will they extend the package to younger employees?
Who of you has obeyed leadership and tried out 365?
Our recent town hall was basically a mandate ti start using the AI tools. I tested it out and came away very unimpressed. Grok and ChatGPT were able to resolve my issue better than 365. I hope I’m on the list of team players now.
Reality for the over 50 layoffs
New data shows 24% of people laid off between ages 50-65 can't find another job. Those who do? Average 11% pay cut. Men take 15% hits, women 7%. The wait is worse: 55-64 year olds spend 26 weeks unemployed vs 19 weeks for younger workers. Many... — read more
Dopey leaders pushing HIH are about 15 years too late
All the labor arbitrage is short term with AI looming large. Cigna and other fortune 500's won't need their massive workforce as AI replaces much of what everyone does. HIH made sense in 2010 but there isn't enough runway now. Stop the madness. ... — read more
Did you know CEO pay is public information?
You can look it up on the SEC website. Here is the PDF Cigna filed: https://www.sec.gov/ix?doc=/Archives/edgar/data/0001739940/000173994025000015/ci-20250314.htm Some interesting finds: "Returned $8.6 billion to shareholders through share... — read more
The real reason for the layoffs.
Look at the list of wrongful acts Cigna has been sued for. This is why they are laying off. Gotta cover those losses right? Don't believe David or Bryan addressed any of these in any meeting? Millions upon millions paid by this company for doing... — read more
My time here is nothing but stress and second-guessing
You can feel the lack of honesty in every meeting. It is clear that profit came first and people are just numbers. No trust, no stability, and no real support from the top.
Today’s org announcements - what was the point?
I can’t make sense of the flurry of org announcements today. It seems to just be a bunch of senior leaders swapping roles. Can anyone explain what the point of all of this was?
Have you landed on your feet?
For those who left this place through forced exits, I often read here that people land somewhere with better pay. I don't know how true that is in this current economy. I landed somewhere, but one income won't suffice. So I'm working and I am in what... — read more
Just accept it already - we’re disposable and irrelevant
Leadership doesn’t give a damn about us. All they care about is squeezing every ounce of value out of each one of us, then moving on to someone cheaper and, preferably, more obedient. As long as the top execs and shareholders are happy, that’s all... — read more

We are the $1.3 Billion Burden
During the town hall you could hear how much it pained DC to tell us how much "he" spends on benefits for "us", as if it's a burden. He did the same thing last town hall. He cannot wait to replace us with cheap labor or AI so he can crow to Wall... — read more
Respect goes both ways
They want military effort for fast-food pay, then wonder why morale’s in the toilet. How about they try leading instead of lecturing? We’re not lazy, we’re just tired of carrying managers who forgot what real work looks like.
meetings this week
can anyone shed light on what's being discussed in these meetings??
Drive to 2025 is back?!
First I’ve heard of this in years
Cigna only hiring HIH?
Go to the "USE-T_Contractors+Employees webex chat and it looks like the 74 "newest USET colleagues" have names that would suggest they are hired from the Hyderabad, India (HIH) office?
If they don’t hit reduction goals with this retirement incentive…
…what is the next move? Will they offer the exit incentives to a slightly younger group? Will they offer incentives based on years with company? Will they forget about layoffs and give everyone a raise?
Cigna insults workers intelligence
It never ceases to amaze me how sleazy this company is. They sent out a "special incentive " retirement option to 3500 employees 55 and older. It was sold as a special opportunity for years of service a d dedication. It's the same thing as if you got... — read more

Permanent CIO
Is DP going to be the permanent CIO soon?
Don't get invested
Why get emotionally invested in a company that’d replace you before your desk is cold? I do my job, collect the paycheck, and clock out. The extra stress isn’t worth it when leadership clearly doesn’t care.
Good advice
I was laid off several months ago too. Looking back, I realized I had gotten too comfortable doing the same job at Cigna for years. Over time, I was pulled into so many unrelated projects that were far beyond the scope of my role, and I was underpaid... — read more
US Jobs are going to HIH

Is the unpaid overtime worth it?
I’m a 29‑year‑old claims analyst with a bachelor’s in health sciences, been at Cigna 18 months. While benefits are solid, the expected 10–15 hr unpaid OT weekly is too much. At first, I powered through, but now burnout hit hard. Are others feeling... — read more

Summer of Vitality - an unfunny joke

They lost the plot years ago

Slow-motion layoffs
It’s not just the major rounds - they’re cutting teams all the time. A little off the top here, some layers there. If this keeps up, there won’t be anyone left to do the job by year’s end.
