I'm a middle aged employee, having some financial commitments, was a high performer, have been given 4 last year. The work I am doing I'm not needed for it. Told multiple times, build another resource who may replace but I believe they are keeping me as scapegoat that any wave comes it's going to be me..I am trying outside but not getting anything suitable..still trying..but I want to understand from you all what you would have done if in my place. Everyday going to workplace is stressful and core irritating. I know everyone around me knows my rating and understand that I am the next scapegoat still I need to do my job quietly this fact is eating me. I can't stop working as my micromanager ask status everyday .. I am tired not working but mentally

Cigna Global
Anyone here from CGHB that knows if we are getting hit Tomorrow? US based employees are scared, they hired Indian people for every position so basically they already have our replacements, I wonder if we will be all Job eliminated or what??
JE Notification Process
I have never been through this before, and am wondering how they notify people of JE. Does an email invite for an HR group meeting go out? Does your direct supervisor tell you? How are you informed of your severance package? My team and I are so worried. I wish we would know what tomorrow and the future holds.
What is the process for 2/19?
What should we expect to see? What time? Who will hear what?
Asking from Home Health - recently acquired from LHC.
Why do I feel like I’m the smartest in the room
I feel like I work with incompetent people. Some I seriously question how they keep their jobs. Am I alone here? Am I just unlucky? I get technical gaps but this is basic common sense and elementary math.
Town Hall
What is tomorrow's townhall going to be all about? It's terrible fearing ELT meetings because I used to look forward to them. Fear is probably the new norm after what we all went through last year.
How would a 30 percent national unemployment rate impact our jobs
everytime I log onto linkedin basically every other post is someone posting something about being laid off and its terrible. if we get a roughly 30 percent unemployment rate like many people think what does that mean for our own jobs
Definitely not looking forward to the aftermath
If I survive this wave, all I can hope for is more work, more stress, and definitely more chaos. Nothing to look forward to but holding onto this awful job for as long as possible. I'm demoralized to the point of being both numb and depressed. I honestly don't know what's worse anymore - being laid off, or staying.
I'm so nervous ahead of the 19th
I don't know why, but this time I'm more anxious than usual. I guess this constant fear of losing my job is finally getting to me in new and awful ways.
Boss meeting with my direct report
My boss scheduled a 30 minute meeting with my direct report tomorrow at 5. What could it be? Are they being laid off? Am I? My performance review is on next week, , could they just be getting their perspective on me? This is making me so nervous!
Fear ki-ls focus
Every day I wonder if today's the day. And they expect me to just perform like normal? That's not possible. The stress is all I can think about.
Stuck and miserable
I feel like I'm wasting away here. No growth, no recognition, no point. Just dragging myself through each day. I'd leave in a second if I had anywhere to go. Truist is making me hate everything.
Waiting for the upside
It’s been a few weeks since I was laid off, and nothing promising has landed yet. I keep hearing stories about how this is supposed to turn into a fresh start, but right now it’s just applications and silence. Severance buys some time, not peace of mind. I’m trying to believe the positive turn comes later, even if it’s hard to see from here.
I'm deciding to believe layoffs are over
Thinking about layoffs 24/7 is no way to live. Especially since I can change nothing. So I'm going to act as if layoffs are done, and save myself some stressing.
Stuck and scared
I'm terrified of losing my job. I've been trying to find something else, anything, just in case, but the market is dead. Every email notification makes my heart stop. This is going to be a brutal month.
My productivity is in the toilet
Forcing employees to worry about their jobs nonstop is a perfect way to destroy morale and crater productivity. You can see it playing out in real time.
How bad might next week turn out to be?
I'm already so tired of this job, and even more exhausted by these seemingly endless layoffs.
How many times have you been laid off?
Somebody told me they were laid off four times throughout their entire career, and I can't wrap my head around it. How do you survive something like that? I'm worried about how I'd take being laid off once, but to have it happen to me more times? No. Just, no. Does it get easer or harder? I literally can't even imagine what that'd feel like.
Worried about the future
Every time I hear another layoff rumor, my anxiety spikes. At my age, I know the job market isn't kind. Does anyone have positive stories about finding work later in life? I need some hope right now.
Can we catch a break?
Is it too much to ask for a few weeks without layoff rumors? As soon as one round ends, the next one starts getting whispered about. I'm so tired of never being able to let my guard down.
HPOM Product Owner Layoffs
In our region, management has begun to tout how HPOM has been incredibly helpful and boosted efficiency, yet they haven't provided any data or examples to back it up. There's a narrative surrounding HPOM that suggests SAP has too many product owners and product managers. This idea seems to come straight from the McKinsey playbook, and I find it disappointing. Product Owners in our region are anxious and fear they might be laid off. Development Managers are urging teams to draft product documents and user stories using Joule AI. Personally, I don't believe Joule is ready to take over the role of product managers, but most development managers think otherwise. What's the situation like in your area? I assumed they would hold off for at least a year or two before promoting such a narrative, but they haven't. It appears that HPOM was established solely to let go of product managers and replace them with Joule.
Cisco H1B transfer for high performers
Cisco H1b transfer timeline
Has anyone gone through H1b transfer recently from Cisco?
I got an offer three days ago and background check was triggered yesterday.
Does Fragomen Immigration wait for background check before sending immigration questionaire , filing lca and proceeding with the H-1B transfer?
Or it happens simultaneously?
What would be the timeline for this?
Please let me know as I am a little anxious on the timeline
I'm glad it wasn't today
For what it’s worth, I’m glad it wasn’t today. I appreciate the extra time, even a day makes a big difference when you’re preparing for the worst.
Hands Up
Hands up if you have an unexpected meeting schedule for tomorrow morning….. 🙋🏽
Makes you wonder?
Honest question.
Why the sudden urgency around rebranding town halls, one-on-ones, and skip-level meetings… especially when layoffs are happening or rumored?
What’s the point of pushing culture talk and rebranding if people are worried about their jobs? And why are so many of these meetings being scheduled on Thursdays, the same day layoffs usually happen? That timing alone puts people on edge.
I’m genuinely asking—has anyone been through this before and knows what the strategy is? Transparency would go a long way right now.
Meeting maker for tomorrow morning at 8am
Just received a short business update 15 minute meeting maker for tomorrow morning at 8am (ET). Why am I supposed to be in early just to get laid off? I'm assuming this is the end of this specific office building. Buildings in our complex have been in the process of being torn down for over a year anyway so why not this one. Peace out.
Unexpected 1:1
It's in 30 minutes. Am I as good as gone? Is this how they're notifying people? Is there any chance it could be something else?
At least there's still severance
I'm not going to be surprised if in the future that's no longer an option. After all, it's not mandated by law, so I can definitely see this leadership deciding it's no longer "in the company's best interest" to keep paying it.
Can we please stop speculating about severance?
If you have confirmed information, please share it. Otherwise, we're just feeding the anxiety, and we're all stressed enough as it is.
How many people?
Everyone's talking about big numbers. My team hasn't been hit yet, but that doesn't mean it's safe tomorrow. Judging by the rumors and reports, it definitely looks bad. I'm afraid our worst predictions are coming true.
Layoff Rumors Continue
Since November, there have been persistent rumors of a significant layoff, with Boston CG frequently mentioned as being involved. Nothing ultimately came of it following our November earnings call, but the rumors resurfaced later, with speculation that decisions were finalized by mid-January. This week, our CEO shared a company-wide video stressing that the next 90 days are critical, which would carry us through the end of tax season. Beyond that, the outlook is unclear.
Morale among the ICs and M2/3s I’ve spoken with is low, even outside of MTV HQ. There’s constant pressure to move faster while priorities shift rapidly, and leadership has increasingly been framing Human Intelligence HI as if it were a newly discovered idea and the act of thinking.
New layoff figures this week!
I just heard over the wall of a manager who knows another manager that someone in HR who knows a director who said that 90% will be laid off on Wednesday. All sites. No WARN notices though because they do it in a way that they don't have to.
No rumors about layoffs
Or at least, I haven't heard a thing. Somehow, that makes me even more worried. They've trained us well.
OP, I very much relate. It's that bad and I'm a long time employee (over 20 years). This is the worst I've ever experienced here and I've seen plenty of #@^% too. #stress #anxiety #burnout #mentalhealth
So, are we basically looking at rolling layoffs through April?
We'll go crazy before this is over. Normally, I wouldn't care as much, I can't stand my job, but have you seen the unemployment numbers and job market lately?
Do the layoffs definitely start tomorrow?
What else is there to say but good luck to all of us.
More Layoffs Today, I'm Heartbroken
More people got cut today, despite a big wave happening this past Thursday. If you even get an itch that something is off (more work, less work, more micromanaging, time off not being approved or acknowledged), it could be a sign. Stay vigilant, keep having conversations with your peers and network, and start looking elsewhere before it's too late. There will probably be more just based on the stock.
Layoffs coming soon?
Does anyone know any info regarding possible lay offs coming soon? Something feels very reminiscent to this summer right before the big one.
