Anyone know how July 16 will impact Value?

For the past week and for 1 more week, there is a police officer as part of the security team at one of the buildings, and 5 or 6 front row parking spots blocked off/reserved for certain employees impacted in this incident. (Although they seem to not be coming into office since most are empty). Rumor has it that an employee was fired on 6/12 and that employee made threats to other employees and/ management. Anyone have insights to what actually happened?

Heard that there is an announcement today. Wonder if it’s going to be massive layoffs??!

Anything going to happen besides top level management gone? New leadership July 1 but not a word about the rest of the peons.

The call center building we work in will be closing. We've received hints could be the end of the 4th Quarter, 2026, OR the end of the 1st Quarter, 2027. (Basically in the next 6-9 months. We get the impression from events unfolding, it could be the Tuesday after payday on July 7th?! We find it interesting that the call center will have no electricity or air conditioning July 7, 8, 9 due to the Generator going into a "downtime". It could be merely a coincidence, however researching on the web indicates taking down a generator for a building that's slated to close, could be a sign of events unfolding sooner than later.

IBM and Deloitte have closed the deal on Juneteenth day to takeover VZ IT. It would be a Centralized IT org to deliver the business requirements using Claude Code; hence you would see that your Gitlab repo has 1000+ developer access now(Go and check it out). VZ will do one more wave of RIF to reach the number of agreed workforce for rebadging and retain a small % in the IT.

I've been hearing a lot of talk about more layoffs coming next month. At first I dismissed it, but the rumors keep getting louder. Does anyone have any actual information? Are these just rumors or is something really happening?

A new report suggests Microsoft Xbox may plan layoffs at Bethesda. Employees not working on Fallout or Elder Scrolls VI could be impacted. Duke Nukem co-creator George Broussard first reported these claims. Broussard confirmed similar rumors after an exchange with a YouTuber. Earlier reports also indicated major Xbox Game Studios layoffs, including Bethesda.

I heard up to 30 out in this round. Anyone have the details? Those who could should have taken VSP when they had the chance.

Electronic Arts has begun informing staff of layoffs. Industry analyst Destin Legarie reported the initial round may be small. More job cuts are anticipated across multiple divisions. Why have these not been reported? The number of layoffs in 2026 alone are staggering but when done a handful at a time it just seems shady.

Rumor has it that Refining and Commercial ELT members are on their way out.

Lots of meetings taking place in commercial following the Q1 hole we dug for ourselves. Looks like Mandell will be the one to pay for it, with a “retirement.”

Once MFN was forced out it’s been downhill. Personally I think we will get purchased by someone at the end of the year after the “Big Bill” goes in effect.

Just fyi... there were well over 300 comments about prayers for those impacted by the dow layoffs in Midland Michigan on ask midlands FB thread. Looks like the admin mediator was forced to remove all of it. There were several comments suggesting layoff numbers will reach 800-1000 locally within Midland.
